Every time going in, the girls are very friendly and make the place feel very welcoming, especially the one super bubbly one, I think her name is Liz. Overall, whenever I need a cake for a birthday, or I’m just craving a slice, this is definitely my go-to place!“

“We respect all opinions and try to improve ourselves according to customer feedback, but some of our ex-employees and competitors take advantage of this tool to throw mud at our work. One of the reviews says the person who is the wife of a city inspector and says that this inspector found the place dirty. This is not logical or true because when that happens they close the businesses until what they find is fixed and they fine the merchants. Our and your bakery has never failed any of the city inspections since their first visit and we have never had to close our business for health reasons. As merchants we know that the competition uses these means to throw garbage at the reputation of its most successful competitors and that is unfair competition. We do not fall for that and we focus on delivering the best product and service to our customers. We are here to listen to any complaint and resolve it if you speak to us in a forum where we can defend our work and seek a solution if warranted. “I ordered a custom cake, cupcakes and a picadera platter. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. I would recommend for the baker to put the cake in the fridge before delivering as it came a little melted. The frosting on cupcakes slid off but either way the children didn’t care so I will still give it 5 stars.“

“The Modern Cakery is incredible! I found them on instagram looking for a bakery that makes detailed children’s birthday cakes. I placed an order for a Rapunzel themed cake, and they were very helpful with any questions I had as well as flexible with changes I made to the design. My daughter was in love with the cake, the quality was amazing, and everyone at her party was asking where we got her cake from. Not only that, the cake tasted amazing and was probably the best tasting cake I’ve ever eaten besides my own wedding cake. I would highly recommend them for any event that needs a cake, and plan to use them again for future birthdays!“

“Beautiful display - but the cake does not taste anything special. Olive oil cake was unique in the sense that you won’t find it in most other bakeries. Also very pricey - I believe the signature cake was $18.

You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! I do not know if there are enough connoisseurs of the exquisite taste of these cakes in that place. But the cakes were very fresh and delicious. “Excellent bakery. Lots of quality and a nice variety of baked goods. My only complaint is that even though the espresso I had was made correctly, I didn't feel the "taste" was there. Must be a domestically made coffee. Wish they would use a true Italian espresso like Illy at the least. Other than that I'll be back.“

Steph did a fantastic job, the cake was delicious and we ordered cupcakes in another flavor to accompany the cake. I had sent her some ideas and photos and she went above and beyond.
