“Came across nova pizza on Uber eats when I was looking for some vegan pizza and I did not regret it! It was truly the best vegan slice I’ve had. They have so many vegan options from pasta, pizza, salads, even dessert pizza and zeppolis ! The owner is vegan as well so it makes me so comfortable to know everything leaving that kitchen is made with so much love and care. Fast forward 3 days later I couldn’t stop thinking about the pizza so I stopped by to pick up a pie for the first time in person and the staff was super friendly and the owner (who is vegan) came by to say hello ! Overall this place is way past a 10 out of 10 with the pizza, it’s customer service and omg the best dessert pizza ? Vegetarian options: VEGANDietary restrictions: They have lots of vegan options !!Parking: There’s a parking lot like a couple stores down that you can park in and walk over to the pizza place“
“I've tried the other pizza places in town and haven't been impressed. Let me start by saying I don't like thick dough as my pizza crust. The other locations around town don't have flavor in the pizza sauce itself, they taste like simply crushed tomatoes out of a can. This pizza was five stars all the way around. Beautiful crisp crust and cooked perfectly on the bottom. I'm not sure where these bad reviews came from, but I met a nice lady and gentleman while there, and they were as nice as can be. This is my new pizza spot in Tenafly!“
“A wonderful tomato sauce penne fish complete with mozzarella cubes and fresh basil. Noting ordinary-- freshly made with great ingredients. And I came on a cold, rainy evening by myself snd felt very comfortable i will return with friends and family.Dietary restrictions: Nice options for GF diners.“
“A fantastic Italian restaurant! Very good quality authentic ingredients, delicious wine at a good price. Two visits, both times the waiter service was at a high level, no one here pretends to be Italian style, it's just like in Italy (and in the best places in Italy!)“
“The Chimi pizza was bomb! The dough was baked just right not too burnt not too soft perfect and crunchy.Don’t get me started on the Dominican Pizza. It was so good it took me back to thanksgiving with my aunt who makes it perfectly. It took me back home and almost made me search the kitchen for my aunt?.Owner was great interacted with us and made conversation very genuine and warm welcomingParking: Parking was pretty decent. Not great not badKid-friendliness: Music was clean and up beat“
“The food was amazing. I had rigatoni with broccoli and shrimp. My friend had chicken parmesan. The portions are really substantial. We started with the meatball and fried mozzarella appetizers and were full by the time the entrées arrived. The waiter was informative and the staff was on top of their game. Very attentive. Most important, we ordered drinks, I had a gin and ginger with lime and I must tell you that the bartender was not stingy.. We had a good time and I'm definitely going back.“
“I moved to North New Jersey from Brooklyn, NY recently and have been on the hunt every weekend with my wife for decent pizza. When I finally found Pizza Knight, I knew this was it. Their pizza is comparable to NYC and might be even better (depending on what spot you go to). Also got to note that there is no FLOP at all. *chef kiss*“
“Not only is this place super delicious as a NY slice but their selection is outstanding along with everyone that works there. The manager Dawn is a sweetheart we’ve hit it off since me and my wife met her. Anyone looking for a great pie this is spot.“
“My wife and I enjoy coming to this restaurant. The food is good well plated and the owner, waiters and busboys are very attentive. Their pizza's are delicious the appetizers are very good and the meatballs in sauce are great, many Italian restaurants fall short on their meatballs not at Ortomare. We have brought our adult son's and their wife's and they like Ortomare Restaurant very much. One of my daughter in law is a General manager to a Michelin rated restaurant and she scores Ortomare very well. Keep up the good work !“
“I wish I had found Bella Trattoria sooner! My wife and I have been trying to find some 'go to' dinner spots since moving to the east coast, and I can confidently say we found a keeper. The atmosphere in the restaurant is perfect for a date night or a nice family outing and you'll absolutely find something on the menu for everyone. We started with the calamari fra diavolo and the sauce had the perfect amount of spice to it. The main course obviously had to be some pizza but we couldn't decide on one so we tried the veggie and the salsiccia. You guys...they were amazing! The crust was just right and there was plenty to take home for late night snacks. All I can say is I can't wait to go back“
“The Wrecking Ball pizza in the best pizza in our neighborhood. The music is not overpowering so you can still have a comfortable conversation. The selection in their draft beers are excellent. In the good weather days you can enjoy the front side walk tables. The service here is great. It's my go-to local place for flavorful bites. Try it!“
“Visiting Grumpys for the Pizza Hunters App and was not disappointed. Parking can be tricky. There are only 4 parking spots behind the Pizzeria..I wound up parking across the street and patronizing the Deli as well in the process. I didn't even get all the way inside the door and was greeted immediately with a Hello, Welcome and How are You. Service was excellent and the price point was excellent. A lot of great Pizza for your money. It took me a little to find the words for this Pizza. The Crispy crust is definitely the highlight. Followed by the Sauce and Cheese. Really, the pizza has its own unique style and delivery. It all works. At one point, I thought maybe a little more sauce, since i am a big fan, but once it hits your taste Buds, you realize that it all works perfectly together and that's what makes it unique as a Grumpys Pizza. I give it 5 Pie Ya's.. pie ya, pie ya. Pie ya. Pie ya. Pie ya. I will definitely be back again. Great Job Grumpys..I have to Pizza aside, your Customer Service is top notch as well.“
“Thank you for helping me to create memories that will last a lifetime. My family got together after my son's dedication. It was incredible. We had fun and broke bread. My parents were over the moon. Such a great time. Thanks for always providing great food and excellent service.“
“LOVED this place. The pizza was fantastic (much better than most neopolitan places in the US, though the pizzas are a bit more busy ingredient/topping-wise than your usual neopolitan pizza), had a great salad. I loved that they had a bunch of imported Italian beer, most of which I’d never even heard of before but was really fun to try. The tiramisu was amazing - tasted truly homemade with actual mascorpone, lady fingers, and the right amount of coffee and cocoa powder. And the lemon sorbetto was surprisingly great and came served in an actual lemon!! Will def go back. One of my favorite discoveries in NYC.“
“Great food and service. One of my favorite pizza locations in northern Jersey. Their staff took care of us in an excellent manner. The cauliflower pizza is a 9/10 along with their cheesy pieVegetarian options: Broccolini looks greatDietary restrictions: They can mix up a good broccoli saladParking: Free parking after 7Kid-friendliness: The staff was very nice to our children and was exact of the time it took for prep“
“I just found out about this restaurant a week ago and I've already been back again. The food is slamming and so are the drinks! I had the Caesar salad with chicken in it any the flavor was freaking AMAZING. It felt like I was eating a MEAL and it was just a salad. Omg! My price range was between 50 and 100 dollars bc I had 3 drinks (non- happy hour) with that salad. I loved everything.“
“Just spent several WONDERFUL hours in one of the most comfortable delicious restaurants I've been to in a long time. Not only was the food FANTASTIC but the staff were attentive, friendly and fun to deal with and Joe capped off the experience by making us feel welcome and like family. My pasta fazole, veal saltinboca were SPECTACULAR, my friends said their seafood appetizer was so good they almost didn't order a main course but when I suggested the chicken saltinboca and her husband had a fish dish that brought him memories of his childhood we knew this was truly a wonderful place that we'll have to go back to. And although this review is long I must admit I took home an order of chicken parm and two desserts (tiramisu and chocolate lava cake) it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back. And the chocolate martinis are TERRIFICDietary restrictions: They adjusted the chicken saltinboca for someone who doesn't eat pork and it was still delicious.“
“Excellent service, great food & wine. Had the lamb shank w risotto - melt in your mouth good. Love the gnocchi. If you like cured meats definitely get the pancetta - very generous portion. Servers are awesome and will handle your wine pairing if you need.“
“My husband and I had a little date night here during the Christmas season and it was quiet good! I work in the area so was pleasantly surprised to discover it was in my stomping ground. The booths were cozy and perfect for the occasion. The food was well seasoned and fresh. The service was decent..I would recommend it.“
“My husband and I went last night for dinner, and we cannot stop talking about how much we enjoyed it. First, they accommodated us quickly and made us feel welcome despite the fact that we arrived a little over 15 minutes late for our reservation; we were expecting to wait but they seated us right away. The atmosphere is soooo pretty with greenery and fun music playing. Now the food: My husband ordered a cocktail and I ordered wine and both came out promptly & were generous in size. While we waited for our food, we looked at the meals that were coming out of the kitchen and everything looked delicious! The serving sizes are VERY generous. My husband ordered the chicken parm vodka special and I ordered the ravioli and meatball. We easily could have split the chicken parm to share. It was easily one of our favorite meal experiences, as everything was made to perfection. For dessert we ordered the cheesecakes.. I have high expectations for cheesecake and theirs did not disappoint. We both left feeling stuffed but in the best way. No notes. 12/10.“
“Went for dinner last night with my husband. A wonderfully unpretentious spot. BYOB. Quite possibly the best Italian food I've ever had. Service was great. I can't believe it took us this long to find. Will absolutely frequent regularly go forward!“
“Stopped in here to look at the menu, but ended up getting the sampler and the Yakitori burnt ends which were amazing! There's a great selection of food, which we can't wait to try out, will definitely come back again hungry! Owner is awesome and atmosphere is so homey.“
“We checked out Noi Due Gelato - was worth every penny, every calorie, every gram of fat! The staff were so attentive and charming, and we got to taste test some of the flavors we weren't sure about committing to. I would recommend and even tell dieters "YOLO!" A terrific occasional treat to splurge on!“
“Best of the Best. My grandma slice was one of the best I've ever had - with a terrifically unusual sweetness in the dough. Service here is 10/10. "Robust menu" is an understatement, not to mention the nearly full stock of grocery items. Great indoor and outdoor seating areas. Pondoros and Panetones hanging from the sealing? Say what?!“
“So happy that Dante's is opened again... we do not have a history to what Dante's used to be as we moved to town not too long ago but what I can tell you is that we are so happy they're open now! It's so nice to have a local pizzeria to order from that you know is reliable, great, and locally owned. Dante's opened up with new owners who are from town which is always nice to support. We have ordered a good number of times now and can really say we have not had one bad order. Pizza- great and delicious! Pastas- never had a disappointing one. Salad and sandwiches have been pretty good as well. We are excited to continue to order from Dante's and continue to try different dishes. Service has been great with either you order in person or on the phone. They are friendly when you go in for pickup service and delivery. Dante's offers some table seating in case you wanted to eat your meal there. Great place!“
“The pistachio pizza (The Bosino!) was incredible, and the hospitality and warmth of the people was even better. It's a small and cozy seating situation, the food was prompt, and everything we ate (and shared!) was delicious. Tiramisu was the perfect ending with creative cappuccino art!Vegetarian options: Plenty of meatless options.Dietary restrictions: Best Gluten Free crust I've tasted.“
“This was a great pizza place in the Bronx. We enjoyed the food and the service. The owners were friendly and great to talk to. The pizza was amazing and we will definitely return. And FYI the coke fountain machine is not out of order :-)“
“This Pizzeria provides the BEST of Sicilian Pies , the man holds the place will provide you with a decent service , he acts in a professional manner & it seems he knows what he is doing , top quality pies you will get , no doubt . Highly recommended , my Sicilian Pie I ordered , image attached .“
“Just had an egg, cheese and Turkish sausage on a croissant with small coffee, light and sweet. This hidden gem (because it’s in a parking lot of a gas station, is amazing. This sandwich is the best I’ve ever had, and the coffee (he warmed the cream) was perfection. Going to come back for some lunch and dinner - definitely my new favorite spot.“
“Don’t know if it’s the best pizza I’ve had but it’s definitely the best in the neighborhood. It had the right amount of cheese and sauce. I had a nice window seat while I enjoyed a pepperoni slice and the buffalo chicken slice both of them big slices. It was leaking in there from the ceiling that day but the place was clean I doubt that’s a common occurrence. All in all a great first impression I’ll definitely be back againKid-friendliness: They have a wall for kids to draw and write on they also offer pizza making classes“
“Nice selection of pizza, apps, sandwiches and dinners. Pizza was very fresh, made with quality ingredients. Ordered the brick oven with mushrooms and it had a great overall taste and balance including a nice crispness to the crust. The only thing I would do next time is ask for a little less cheese, but that is just a personal preference.“
“I was skeptical at first, but I'm so glad I gave them a chance! The pizza is crispy and has a lot of flavor. The service is great, they always try to accommodate my requests. Affordable. Finally a good spot for pizza in Cliffside Park.“
“We found this place on a spur of the moment lunch date decision and so glad we did as we really enjoyed ourselves so much. The pizza is fantastic and we also enjoyed a shrimp app with this incredible tomato sauce and got cheese served with some crust to soak up that yummy sauce. The owner Stephanie I think is her name was so welcoming and even let our dog come join us as it was late and not crowded in the front. Our service was perfect too and I will return for sure maybe for dinner to try the other pasta dishes and more pizza.“
“This is one of those special brunch spots in Washington Heights we absolutely love. Our team, along with some of my friends and I, have gone here so many times, and we're always so obsessed with the food that I forgot pictures. They always have amazing pizza. Today my friend I went for brunch and it was everything. I think they make the nest pancakes in NYC. If you come here and don't try the pancake, you're missing out. It's delicious. Buttery, crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. Everyone loves it here. The lentil soup with a side of sourdough bread was perfect, hearty, and fulfilling. The kale salad is my favorite salad. It's delicious. My friend loved her avocado toast with eggs on top. They also made the best cappuccino and Chai lattes. This is a must if you're in the heights from brunch.“
“Soo good found this place on DoorDash and have been wanting to try, my boyfriend and i coincidentally ended up here and we had to order for pickup. Got the grandpa pie and was so delicious, everything is fresh and worth the $. Deff will be back to try more!!“
“Louie and Ernie's Pizza is like visiting your favorite uncle's house, who makes one of your favorite meals! Once you get there, you eat and chat, and you get so cozy that you don't realize you stayed so long? Plain and crispy, I love it! Thanks for keeping that "uncle" feeling!Vegetarian options: Plain pizza is vegetarian, that's an amazing selection!!“
“I stumbled upon this hidden gem in New Jersey, and it turned out to be a diamond in the rough. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, setting the perfect mood for a memorable evening. The customer service was impeccable; the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Now, let's talk about the real star of the show – the chef, Ardi. His culinary skills are nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish was a masterpiece, and my girlfriend and I couldn't help but savor each bite. Ardi's expertise truly elevated the dining experience. In all honesty, this place has become our new favorite restaurant. If you're looking for a delightful combination of atmosphere, top-notch service, and exceptional cuisine, this is the spot. Kudos to Ardi and the entire team for creating such a spectacular dining haven!“
“Just moved to Rutherford TODAY and I’m not used to having good pizza in NJ, I prefer NYC slices. Ordered a few pies this afternoon for all our friends and family who are helping us move and I needed to take a few minutes to write this review. So excited that this is my new fav pizza place! Pepperoni, Plain, and Sausage is so tasty!! Love the pepperoni cups that curl up! ❤️❤️❤️“
“WE SAW THE PROGRAM WITH GORDON RAMSEY, NIGHTMARE KITCHENS USA, AND WE WERE STRIKED BY THE SERIOUSNESS AND GREAT WILL OF ANTONIO, WHO FOR BEING SO YOUNG IS ALREADY A WINNER.WE WANTED TO ASK IF YOU DO HOME DELIVERIES IN EUROPE, WE WOULD LIKE A PIZZA MADE BY ANTONIO.GREETINGS FROM ITALIAN SWITZERLAND.“
“We had a delightful Italian dinner experience at this charming spot featuring a lovely bar and pizza oven. We went on a Tuesday to enjoy jazz being performed by a friend and was thoroughly impressed by the food. The outdoor seating adds to the cozy ambiance, especially at night. The standout dish of the evening was the caponatta – truly exceptional with its layers of flavor and accompanied by delicious polenta crisp at thw bottom. I regretted sharing it, as it was so good. The pappardelle with short rib ragu was also a solid choice, and the Bari pizza was great. For dessert, the tiramisu struck the perfect balance of sweetness, though my friend couldn't resist eating most of it before I could join in. We paired our meal with a bottle of Toscanna Rosso 2019, priced at $48, which complemented our dishes perfectly. We got five glasses from itThe staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I'm already looking forward to returning .“
“I tell you that I can smell this place an avenue away! When I walked on the Broadway intersection toward the Amsterdam, I spotted the luring hints of the tomato, the wheat, and fragrance of wood fired dough.Straightly came to eat pizzas, pretty nice addition to the neighborhood so I don’t have to go all the way downtown. Us four gals ordered 4 difference pizzas. The lunch specials are 15 usd per pizza, and the options include some pizza rosse and some bianche, but not any specials. They have a wood-fired stone oven, resembled the traditional pizza cooking technique in Naple. You can watch the pizzeria knead and stretch the dough and cook it in action. All pizzas are 12 inches and each are sliced into 4 pieces. That means, 4 pizzas = 16 slices spilled between us 4.For all the pizzas, the dough is light and stretchy, very airy with lots of bubbles when you open the dough. The chars on the edges are the evidence of usage of the wood-fired oven. And all pizzas came within 10 minutes of ordering! Quick and delicious!1. The Tartufata: this one is very very filling. Very umami and truffley. Lots of prosciutto and heavy on truffle cream and truffle oil. One bite brings me out of starvation and spikes my fullness from 0% to 80% (I have been fasting for 20hrs before this).2. Pizza Burrata: surprisingly light pizza. The burrata is light and somehow not so liquidy. Majority of the cheese holded the shape with a bit splurging of the stracciatella mixed with arugula. If I had this first, I think I can eat the whole pizza. But the truffle one was so filling lol.3. Melanzane E Salsicce: the pizza with sausage and fried eggplant. This one tasted most familiar to me in terms of the flavor, as the sausage being the major note player. The fried eggplant on top of the pizza doesn’t resemble eggplant but rather grounded meat, however, I definitely taste eggplant once I bite into it: mushy, eggplanty, and meaty at the same time.4. Pizza Marguerita: the only non-special one which we got at the lunch special rate. It is a classic. I didn’t have stomach for the 4th slice yet my friend who tasted it said it is light, tomatoy, and savory. The saltiness of the dough combined well with the acidity of the tomato sauce, which interplayed with the creaminess of the mozzarella. Surely a classic not to be missed if you are torn choosing between novelty flavors. We ended up having 4 slices to go, and we were very very satisfied with the quality of the food. Though eating so much carb makes me sleepy but it is Friday so who cares! And lastly, their complimentary bread and olive oil is GREAT! Quote on myself: the bread tasted like a mix between a baguette and a bagel, so much air holes with great stretchness for a chew. And the olive oil tasted amazing: definitely extra virgin olive oil.“
“Yo. This place is it. The truth. Tonight we decided was gonna be a pizza night but my wife specifically wanted PIZZA - like not a tavern style bar pie or a Patsy's/Angelo's NY margarita type. Old school pizza, pizza. Bob's delivered. Literally. From Tappan to Upper Saddle River they brought some of the best "plain" slices I've had since moving to NJ - and it showed up quick, hot and totally in tact. We fking loved this pizza. There are more than a few great places to get Pizza near us - but I'm absolutely thrilled to add this one to the regular rotation. Tonight I'll drink to Bob's. May they stay in business forever! Here here.“
“We love this place the chicken parm pizza is amazing since the new owners took over it's better then before there friendly sandwiches are better they take credit cards and there delivery is more efficient there even open on Sundays there pizza amazing and sandwiches are plentiful great family “
“It’s establishments like this that set the standard by which all future experiences are measured. The taste, texture and freshness of the pizza, eggplant rollatini and garlic were all to die for (shout-out to the marinara sauce!!), but it’s the atmosphere created by the easy, efficient team, and especially Maryellen and John that will make my memories. Something about their familiarity, warm presence and attentiveness made us feel at home immediately, giving us a glimpse into what it would be like to be part of this neighborhood. It was fun just to watch Maryellen interact with the customers, seeming to know every customer by name. If I were a local I would definitely be a loyal customer.“
“I love the food here..reliable and delicious italian options for take out on the run kind of quick stop..prices are reasonble and the service is great , everyone is super friendly. We have also used them to Cater a party or 2 . excellent choice. out guests LOVED IT!!!“
“My partner and I love ordering from here. We live in the neighborhood and it’s so convenient to have a place like this we can walk to for something delicious at a great price. I don’t think you could go wrong ordering anything off their menu; their pizza is the perfect Jersey pizza, their burritos are huge and taste SO fresh, and their cheeseburgers are like In N Out but WAY better quality. They also have desserts and the chocolate cake I tried was great. Love Aileen’s “
“An old school authentic Italian deli run by mom, dad, and their son. The food is outstanding, I had an Italian Combo and my wife had a turkey sub, there was no skimping on the ingredients, WOW! As for the pizza ? we traveled here from Cape Cod in search of the best pizza from Rockland County NY through Bergen County NJ. We eventually landed here at Petrillos and met John and his parents working behind the counter. An old school hard-working family making traditional pizzas. We were blown away by what they had created, a super tasty combination of classic sauce and the perfect amount of cheese on a slightly crispy underbody with a soft but crisp crust. We ordered 13 pizzas that day, 10 plain,1 green pepper & onion, and 2 chicken cutlet and cherry pepper. After trying the Chicken cutlet and cherry pepper I called the next morning and ordered 3 more...wow it was awesome. Upon picking up the pizzas Sunday morning we discovered John making breakfast on the flat-top grill so my wife ordered French toast and bacon, yum! We gave this establishment a 5-star review but on a scale of 1-10 we gave our highest review 9.8 only because there has to be room for something higher, we just haven't found it yet. Keep up the good work, this will always be a stop on our road trips from the Cape. You are officially part of our food world family, La Famiglia. Thank you, from Kevin & Melanie“
“Grabbed a sicillian and a Hal’s seltzer which I never see around ! Oh boy was the pizza amazing crafted perfectly with the cheese and the sauce. Perfect ?? I definitely recommend coming here they reopened up in style and taste. The food is amazing here now ! 10/10 best pizza here in Yonkers!??“
“The food is amazing. This is one of my go to place for authentic Italian food. It is always packed so usually end up doing take out. The pizza arrived hot and delicious, plentiful toppings and cooked to perfection. The hot sandwiches and dinners are amazing; large size and fresh ingredients. We love the octopus appetizer. Service is always friendly and mostly quick. There is no lot but we usually can find parking in walking distance.“
“I don’t usually write reviews but I noticed a few one star reviews within a few hours of each other. I e been coming here for the last two years and I can tell you that those reviews are FAKE! Too many similarities and all BOGUS! The food, atmosphere and service are top notch. These clowns are just stupid trolls. Sorry they have nothing better to do.“
