“I can't exaggerate it enough Alex, John the entire crew I just fantastic and out of this world. They never disappoint and always deliver metaphorically and literally! Honestly the best pizza you could ever get especially in Yonkers! I tried so many pizzerias, especially growing up! This spot hits home and you can't go wrong with it, no matter what they will do their best to hold it down!“
“Absolutely delicious food, professional and kind waitstaff, and a diverse menu. Easy location to get to, beautiful interior and relatively easy, free parking. Great for larger groups since they allow reservations, but great for small groups as well. I recommend paying in cash!“
“My husband and I had a little date night here during the Christmas season and it was quiet good! I work in the area so was pleasantly surprised to discover it was in my stomping ground. The booths were cozy and perfect for the occasion. The food was well seasoned and fresh. The service was decent..I would recommend it.“
“Grabbed a sicillian and a Hal’s seltzer which I never see around ! Oh boy was the pizza amazing crafted perfectly with the cheese and the sauce. Perfect ?? I definitely recommend coming here they reopened up in style and taste. The food is amazing here now ! 10/10 best pizza here in Yonkers!??“
“Let me tell you some this is one of the best places to go for a nice meal and cocktail comfortable intimate very friendly. Make sure you order the money bags when you come that’s one of my favorites or the margarita pizza on the weekends they have DJs come salsa night different activity, almost every day.? ???“
“By far the best slice I've had in a long time. I had to come back and update my review. The new management here is what I like to call progress to our neighborhood. I love the fact that it's still the same taste from high school with familiar faces progressing. Well actually idk if it's me but it taste even better...... I wish you guys the best in all endeavors. I been eating here since class of 06 Lincoln high.“
“I say, I had tired of my regular pizzeria and wanted to try something new. Upon reading the glowing reviews of this establishment I decided to check it out. Situated next door to their sit-down dining room is their small yet traditionally accented pizzeria. Service was prompt, attentive, and very friendly. The standard litmus test of a Plain slice is flavor/amount of sauce, cheese constitution, and dough consistency. A & V passes with flying colors! Not only are their pies delicious, but are also cheaper than the competition by a significant margin! Stop in and try them out, you wont regret it! Good show, very sporting lads! Cost: $ Fare: 5/5“
“Went in to grab lunch at this local place, the atmosphere was very warm, and welcoming. The owners are super kind and sweet. I ordered a personal chicken pizza ($10) and it was super delicious and the dough was chewy and amazing. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and made with love.My new favorite lunch spot!“
“Top-tier, dining experience. From the staff to the food, Just an incredible visit.I would’ve attached a picture of the hero, But that thing was in my stomach before I could even pull out my phone. Can’t wait to come back again next time I’m in the area. Thanks fellas!“
“To be even more detailed, I've been here 7-9 times for their pizza. Usually call in our order but have ate inside a few times. The staff is always friendly and smiling. The pizza sauce is great. Crust is thin and crispy but never burned. We r near Getty square and this place has the best pizza in the area!! We’ve tried them all.“
“Ah, Pizza Barn, where do I even begin? Let me paint you a picture: imagine sinking your teeth into a slice of pizza so divine, it transports you straight to flavor paradise. Pizza Barn doesn't just serve pizza; they craft masterpieces. Their crust? Perfection - crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. And the toppings? Fresh, flavorful, and piled high. Whether you're a traditionalist who loves a classic Margherita or an adventurous eater craving a BBQ chicken delight, Pizza Barn has you covered. Plus, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make every visit feel like coming home. Trust me, once you experience Pizza Barn, you'll become a loyal fan for life!“
“It was my first time getting takeout dinner. It was excellent staff was welcoming and friendly food was awesome. We ordered chicken Parmesan with penne pasta, Buffalo chicken calzone, sausage peppers calzone, and calamari. Can't wait to visit their restaurant again so that I can try eggplant parmesan which is my favorite dish to order.“
“After moving away from New York, it is great to come back and have a slice at Gino's. This pizza is the best and always consistent. Always crispy and delicious. The only takeaway for me is that they still don't accept card payments, so bring cash!“
“(Translated by Google) Delicious pizzas in this place the only problem very hot the environment does not have air conditioning look at photos from years ago it was bigger now it is smaller still I will return just to take away(Original)Ricas pizzas en este lugar el único problema muy caliente el ambiente no tiene aire acondicionado mire fotos de años atrás era más grande a hora es más pequeño aún así volveré solo para llevar“
“New to the area and had to find the go-to pizzeria and this place is definitely it. Perfect slices with the crust that's thick crispy outside but soft inside... Cooked right and the people here are always the nicest. Even when the girl working the counter was obviously tired and having hard working day she was still nicer then most people on their best days. ... And that garlic knots are ??“
“This pizzeria has been around over 50 years at least. The pizza is very good! But do you want to know what you should NOT MISS HERE? THE FREAGIN' CALZONES!!! The calzones are tiny but packed with deliciousness with every bite! These mini stuffed calzones are filled with hearty fillings of meat and cheese. The meatball - the veal with peppers - and the cheese calzones are dropped from heaven's pizza ovens! Service is basic. The customer service is hit or miss. The ambiance is Old School Bronx pizzeria down to the 70's orange colored booths! Enjoy!“
“I live in California, but visiting the area for a few days with my wife as we are dropping off our daughter at Sarah Lawrence College nearby. Our airbnb host suggested that we try out Luigi's and we are very happy we did. We have tried their eggplant parmesan hero, chickpea salad, and Penne Broccoli Rabe so far. They have all been great. Plus, the owner Raymond is a really warm guy. He was very welcoming and made us all feel like we had known him our entire lives. We like the food and the friendly vibes. btw, this isn't some fancy restaurant. It is just a modest nondescript neighborhood joint where you walk up to a counter to order food for take out or dine in. Nothing fancy. But the food is great, the service is very warm, and you go home happy after a meal. A great find!“
“This place is a real neighborhood gem. It’s the first place we think of when we are craving home cooked Italian food. It feels so cozy. Their dishes are so special, their homemade bread is THE BEST, their pizza is so flavorful (my boyfriend calls their Sicilian “flavor clouds” hahaha). Every time we go we feel so taken care of by the staff. Places like this are a rarity nowadays and I feel lucky to have them so close by.“
“I just had a party and midland pizza I had 12 people I have to say the food and the service was amazing. Our waiter pasty did a hell of a job. Nobody’s glass was empty. He was constantly up with the table everybody how it they wanted. Everybody was so happy he made my son’s 13th birthday a success have to say I’ve been to a lot of restaurants actors are in the best waiters I have ever seen“
“Solid plain slice. Personally, I recommend their pepperoni slice over the plain but solid, well-balanced pizza. Thin and crispy crust, with equal quality sauce and cheese. The garlic knots were fantastic, quick bite; 5 for $2. Cash and credit are both accepted. Dine-in available. Angled metered street parking. 01/2024Parking: Angle metered street parking“
“Pizza in this restaurant you can eat delicious classic Italian pizza cooked in a charcoal oven, the aroma of this pizza, don’t forget the staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing in this restaurant,If you want to enjoy truly authentic Italian pizza then you need to check out this place, you will be delighted and will definitely return to this pizzeria.“
“The employees are always nice. Consistency to make the pizza the same is off. All three times I ate from here the pizza wasn’t cooked anywhere near the same as when I first had it. The first time it was cooked perfectly! Soft crust , crispy pizza ! The second and third time I had it the pizza was soft and a little floppy and I feel as though it wasn’t cooked for long enough because the crust at the bottom was still pretty white. The pizza is yummy but I know to ask to cook it crispy whenever I order now.“
“Ordered pizza delivery for a large vegetable pie. We got the pizza in about 30 minutes and it was still hot. The slices were pretty big. I never eat more than one large slice but I was really hungry. I like that the pizza wasn’t greasy and the sauce was good. It was recommended by someone from the area, not disappointed by the suggestion.“
“Was in Yonkers to get some paperwork and decided to get lunch before heading back to the city by train. I searched for food and Anselmo's Pizzeria & Deli was nearby. Initially, I was surprised on how small the place was but it was crowded (both tables were occupied and there was a line). Decided on getting two slices of pizza (shrimp and then cheese) and a drink. Both were excellent. Highly recommend the place but better if you takeout.“
“Visited this restaurant a few days ago. Food was very good & everyone was very nice. It's important to me that these two check the box. I was a little hesitant to try because of past experiences. (Different owners)I had soup & they give you what they call pizza bread. So very good! It reminded me of bread my Dad would make many years ago.We also had a slice of grandma's pizza with pepperoni, drizzled with honey, among other things. Burst of flavor!I wish them the best! Looking forward to going again.“
“True, classic Italian pizzeria, my favorite Diablo, pie, pepperonis, spicy red sauce, thick layer and mozzarella the way you bite. They’ll hear it around the corner crispy. No other way the hamburgers are to die for half a pound of meat lettuce, tomato, onions, mustard, mayonnaise, cherry peppers with the onions you know what I mean crispy fries can sit here all day. I’m gonna bring my couch in here I think tomorrow.“
“This pizza spot is a gem. This reminds me of my childhood pizza spot!! The pizza is a little thicker yet light, fluff & crispy. Not undercooked. Once I saw the color of the cheese and sauce I knew the slice was going to taste delicious. I always look for that orange color on a pizza and this did it for me. I give the pizza a 90/100, the downside is I'm not a fan of sticky tables so overall I give the place a 86/100“
“Here I am, some random passerbyer wanting to have some NYC pizza on a road trip. Decided to stop in Yonkers, found this random place.Yeah it's amazing. Best pizza I've had in 5 years. I came in expecting NYC quality pizza and got it. Everything I wanted and more, it makes me want to come back here some day!“
“Dunwood Pizzeria is an absolute gem, and I can't resist awarding it a well-deserved five stars! ? The pizza here is not just good; it's to die for! Each slice boasts an extra crunch that elevates the experience, and the texture is beyond compare. The real cheese used is a game-changer, making every bite a cheesy delight. But that's not all – the spicy pasta at Dunwood Pizzeria is out of this world. It's a symphony of flavors, with a creamy and dreamy consistency that leaves your taste buds dancing. I'm almost regretting not bringing Ziploc bags to take some of this goodness home! The attention to detail in crafting these culinary masterpieces is evident, and it's no surprise that Dunwood Pizzeria has become a go-to spot for those seeking an unparalleled dining experience. For anyone craving an unforgettable culinary adventure, I highly recommend Dunwood Pizzeria. “BEST PIZZABeen coming here for 15+ years, the salad slice is a must try! Their unique house dressing to drizzle on top is delicious.Chicken Parm slice & Chicken Bacon Ranch slice are cheesy and perfect.Honestly everything is good from here!!“
“If you are ever in the area this is definitely a place worth stopping at. The food is amazing. The waiters/ waitress are friendly. The place is nice and they have free parking.Kid-friendliness: I came with my nephew and he's a picky eater, and he ate everything. He enjoyed his food.“
“Thick, crispy and flavorful Sicilian slices. Holy moly, and the price? Can’t beat that. I did take the slices to go instead of eating there, but the spot is small, 3 small tables so it can be a bit tight. Very low key spot, with a kind man behind the counter. The pizzas were worth it.“
