The gentlemen were friendly and offered to make anything I wanted. I grabbed a few slices of what was left. The pizza was great. I love their crust and their sauce is tasty and not salty. “The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“Mario’s Metro Pizza completely changed what I expected from a pizzeria. We came in for a full tasting and every single dish overdelivered. The chicken scarpariello was the standout, juicy chicken smothered in a sauce with real depth, sausage and thin cut potatoes mixed in, plated like something from a sit down Italian restaurant rather than handed over a counter. The vodka rigatoni with fresh burrata was another surprise, creamy, rich, and not something you expect to find at a pizza shop. The Philly cheesesteak pizza and hot honey pepperoni with vodka sauce were both excellent as well, and the hot honey and buffalo wings are made completely from scratch in house.

Beyond the food, the hospitality stood out. The owners, two brothers with over a decade of experience in kitchens across Westchester and New York City, took over a pizzeria that had been a neighborhood staple for decades and elevated it without losing that local feel. You can tell everything is made fresh and with real care.

If you are in New Rochelle and think you already know what a pizzeria can offer, this place will prove you wrong. Highly recommend.“

“I just got a couple slices after running some errands. The pizza was some of the best I’ve ever had- cooked perfectly, crust wasn’t too crunchy or soft, had great flavor. The service was amazing. The man asked every customer if they wanted salt, pepper, parmesan for their table and asked each family who came in with small children if they wanted their pizza less hot and/or cut smaller for them. We ordered the Beekman Ave specialty pizza, a regular pepperoni, and the eggplant pizza. The eggplant pizza was absolutely incredible—easily one of the best pizzas I've had in Westchester.

The style is a thin, bar-style pie similar to what you'd find in New Jersey, with a vibe like Colony Grill. The wings were excellent too. If you're a fan of thin-crust, bar-style pizza, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended.“

For pizza, we tried the Killer Bee and the Chicken Vodka, and both were outstanding. The flavors were incredible, and you can tell they use quality ingredients.

The real surprise was the cheesesteak—it was out of this world! The bread is made from their pizza dough, which takes it to another level.

The young man at the counter was personable, and very customer oriented. Prizes were incredibly affordable especially when you use the quality ingredients. The place was also spotless.
