“The atmosphere steals the show here. Really great vibe. The pizza is tasty. I always ask for it well done so it's not too blonde. Great pastries including the cannoli and the creme brulee. Great coffee and very nice cappuccinos. The calamari is only 25-30 not so not good rings and not a fan of the gelato which is too dense. It's reasonably priced, especially for the area. Truly worth the experience. You have to get lucky with parking.“
“I would eat the Chicken Francaise everyday, it’s that good! The D’s salad is so fresh and delicious! You could taste the light olive oil and the shreds of parmigiana cheese, dates, walnuts, fruit and endless greens! The owner and people who work there are just so nice!!! ❤️❤️“
“A fantastic Italian restaurant! Very good quality authentic ingredients, delicious wine at a good price. Two visits, both times the waiter service was at a high level, no one here pretends to be Italian style, it's just like in Italy (and in the best places in Italy!)“
“The food was amazing. I had rigatoni with broccoli and shrimp. My friend had chicken parmesan. The portions are really substantial. We started with the meatball and fried mozzarella appetizers and were full by the time the entrées arrived. The waiter was informative and the staff was on top of their game. Very attentive. Most important, we ordered drinks, I had a gin and ginger with lime and I must tell you that the bartender was not stingy.. We had a good time and I'm definitely going back.“
“My husband and I went to burrata for dinner today. It was a Saturday so we did have to wait around 50 minutes, so I would suggest making a reservation online if possible. We grabbed a drink at the bar next door while we waited. I really liked a the ambiance of the place- modern yet homey feel. Service was excellent, food came in a timely manner. We ordered the Araninci which was delicious, the burrata - yum. For mains we ordered the pappardelle which was really good, and the mushroom jalapeño pizza which we also enjoyed. For dessert we had the tiramisu which from a distance I thought looked like a store bought tiramisu because they wrap it in one of those plastic pieces to keep it together, but once the waiter opened it up all of the cream at the top fell to the sides like lava! It was really good- coming from someone who is very picky about tiramisu! Drinks- I had an espresso martini (no baileys) which was also good Definitely will be coming back here- with a reservation next time!“
“My wife and I enjoy coming to this restaurant. The food is good well plated and the owner, waiters and busboys are very attentive. Their pizza's are delicious the appetizers are very good and the meatballs in sauce are great, many Italian restaurants fall short on their meatballs not at Ortomare. We have brought our adult son's and their wife's and they like Ortomare Restaurant very much. One of my daughter in law is a General manager to a Michelin rated restaurant and she scores Ortomare very well. Keep up the good work !“
“The Wrecking Ball pizza in the best pizza in our neighborhood. The music is not overpowering so you can still have a comfortable conversation. The selection in their draft beers are excellent. In the good weather days you can enjoy the front side walk tables. The service here is great. It's my go-to local place for flavorful bites. Try it!“
“John’s Pizzas are amazingly delicious. Many classics and creative new ones. The Detroit style Bandiera with Parmesan crust is out of this world. The best is custom and not even on the menu: Homemade Burrata, Fig, Prosciutto, Honey, Arugula… we need a name for it and get this on the menu ;-)“
“Thank you for helping me to create memories that will last a lifetime. My family got together after my son's dedication. It was incredible. We had fun and broke bread. My parents were over the moon. Such a great time. Thanks for always providing great food and excellent service.“
“LOVED this place. The pizza was fantastic (much better than most neopolitan places in the US, though the pizzas are a bit more busy ingredient/topping-wise than your usual neopolitan pizza), had a great salad. I loved that they had a bunch of imported Italian beer, most of which I’d never even heard of before but was really fun to try. The tiramisu was amazing - tasted truly homemade with actual mascorpone, lady fingers, and the right amount of coffee and cocoa powder. And the lemon sorbetto was surprisingly great and came served in an actual lemon!! Will def go back. One of my favorite discoveries in NYC.“
“I just found out about this restaurant a week ago and I've already been back again. The food is slamming and so are the drinks! I had the Caesar salad with chicken in it any the flavor was freaking AMAZING. It felt like I was eating a MEAL and it was just a salad. Omg! My price range was between 50 and 100 dollars bc I had 3 drinks (non- happy hour) with that salad. I loved everything.“
“I don't leave reviews too often, but AJ's deserves it. Excellent burgers, excellent sides and they have, by far, the coldest beer in New Rochelle. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. 5/5 stars. Come here, you won't regret it.“
“Just spent several WONDERFUL hours in one of the most comfortable delicious restaurants I've been to in a long time. Not only was the food FANTASTIC but the staff were attentive, friendly and fun to deal with and Joe capped off the experience by making us feel welcome and like family. My pasta fazole, veal saltinboca were SPECTACULAR, my friends said their seafood appetizer was so good they almost didn't order a main course but when I suggested the chicken saltinboca and her husband had a fish dish that brought him memories of his childhood we knew this was truly a wonderful place that we'll have to go back to. And although this review is long I must admit I took home an order of chicken parm and two desserts (tiramisu and chocolate lava cake) it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back. And the chocolate martinis are TERRIFICDietary restrictions: They adjusted the chicken saltinboca for someone who doesn't eat pork and it was still delicious.“
“Excellent service, great food & wine. Had the lamb shank w risotto - melt in your mouth good. Love the gnocchi. If you like cured meats definitely get the pancetta - very generous portion. Servers are awesome and will handle your wine pairing if you need.“
“Went for dinner last night with my husband. A wonderfully unpretentious spot. BYOB. Quite possibly the best Italian food I've ever had. Service was great. I can't believe it took us this long to find. Will absolutely frequent regularly go forward!“
“My husband and I had a little date night here during the Christmas season and it was quiet good! I work in the area so was pleasantly surprised to discover it was in my stomping ground. The booths were cozy and perfect for the occasion. The food was well seasoned and fresh. The service was decent..I would recommend it.“
“My husband and I went last night for dinner, and we cannot stop talking about how much we enjoyed it. First, they accommodated us quickly and made us feel welcome despite the fact that we arrived a little over 15 minutes late for our reservation; we were expecting to wait but they seated us right away. The atmosphere is soooo pretty with greenery and fun music playing. Now the food: My husband ordered a cocktail and I ordered wine and both came out promptly & were generous in size. While we waited for our food, we looked at the meals that were coming out of the kitchen and everything looked delicious! The serving sizes are VERY generous. My husband ordered the chicken parm vodka special and I ordered the ravioli and meatball. We easily could have split the chicken parm to share. It was easily one of our favorite meal experiences, as everything was made to perfection. For dessert we ordered the cheesecakes.. I have high expectations for cheesecake and theirs did not disappoint. We both left feeling stuffed but in the best way. No notes. 12/10.“
“This was a great pizza place in the Bronx. We enjoyed the food and the service. The owners were friendly and great to talk to. The pizza was amazing and we will definitely return. And FYI the coke fountain machine is not out of order :-)“
“The pistachio pizza (The Bosino!) was incredible, and the hospitality and warmth of the people was even better. It's a small and cozy seating situation, the food was prompt, and everything we ate (and shared!) was delicious. Tiramisu was the perfect ending with creative cappuccino art!Vegetarian options: Plenty of meatless options.Dietary restrictions: Best Gluten Free crust I've tasted.“
“Just had an egg, cheese and Turkish sausage on a croissant with small coffee, light and sweet. This hidden gem (because it’s in a parking lot of a gas station, is amazing. This sandwich is the best I’ve ever had, and the coffee (he warmed the cream) was perfection. Going to come back for some lunch and dinner - definitely my new favorite spot.“
“This place is second to none! 5 stars is not enough! Tommaso Tommaso , the absolute best. The welcoming service is amazing. A true Italian restaurant with terrific food and the best service. The food is never disappointing. The presentation matches the taste!“
“Don’t know if it’s the best pizza I’ve had but it’s definitely the best in the neighborhood. It had the right amount of cheese and sauce. I had a nice window seat while I enjoyed a pepperoni slice and the buffalo chicken slice both of them big slices. It was leaking in there from the ceiling that day but the place was clean I doubt that’s a common occurrence. All in all a great first impression I’ll definitely be back againKid-friendliness: They have a wall for kids to draw and write on they also offer pizza making classes“
“We found this place on a spur of the moment lunch date decision and so glad we did as we really enjoyed ourselves so much. The pizza is fantastic and we also enjoyed a shrimp app with this incredible tomato sauce and got cheese served with some crust to soak up that yummy sauce. The owner Stephanie I think is her name was so welcoming and even let our dog come join us as it was late and not crowded in the front. Our service was perfect too and I will return for sure maybe for dinner to try the other pasta dishes and more pizza.“
“This is one of those special brunch spots in Washington Heights we absolutely love. Our team, along with some of my friends and I, have gone here so many times, and we're always so obsessed with the food that I forgot pictures. They always have amazing pizza. Today my friend I went for brunch and it was everything. I think they make the nest pancakes in NYC. If you come here and don't try the pancake, you're missing out. It's delicious. Buttery, crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. Everyone loves it here. The lentil soup with a side of sourdough bread was perfect, hearty, and fulfilling. The kale salad is my favorite salad. It's delicious. My friend loved her avocado toast with eggs on top. They also made the best cappuccino and Chai lattes. This is a must if you're in the heights from brunch.“
“Louie and Ernie's Pizza is like visiting your favorite uncle's house, who makes one of your favorite meals! Once you get there, you eat and chat, and you get so cozy that you don't realize you stayed so long? Plain and crispy, I love it! Thanks for keeping that "uncle" feeling!Vegetarian options: Plain pizza is vegetarian, that's an amazing selection!!“
“Excellent quality food, generous portions at reasonable prices! From the outside, this place looks like a plain-looking slice shop, but it is so much more than that. The service is friendlier than you normally would expect at a place like this, and they even packed up the leftovers for us. That's always a plus in terms of service. I had the fettuccine carbonara, which was certainly above average in quality. I find that carbonara is a difficult and unusual dish to make, so it's a good way to test an Italian restaurant. This place certainly passed the carbonara test. The portion size was absolutely enormous! It was better than the carbonara I had at a certain Michelin-starred restaurant in New Rochelle! I also had the opportunity to taste the fagioli soup, spinach pizza, and eggplant pizza. Everything was delicious. All of this, and the bill was under $50, with the tip included. Can't beat that.“
“The food at Pizzeria La Rosa is simply the best. From the mozzarella to the rigatoni alla vodka to the pizza to the ITALIAN DOUGHNUTS (best in my opinion) - you will not be disappointed. They’re always trying new things and some truly wonderful specials. Matt and the entire team always make you feel at home. If you haven’t checked this place out, you’re truly missing out on the best.“
“Yo. This place is it. The truth. Tonight we decided was gonna be a pizza night but my wife specifically wanted PIZZA - like not a tavern style bar pie or a Patsy's/Angelo's NY margarita type. Old school pizza, pizza. Bob's delivered. Literally. From Tappan to Upper Saddle River they brought some of the best "plain" slices I've had since moving to NJ - and it showed up quick, hot and totally in tact. We fking loved this pizza. There are more than a few great places to get Pizza near us - but I'm absolutely thrilled to add this one to the regular rotation. Tonight I'll drink to Bob's. May they stay in business forever! Here here.“
“We had a delightful Italian dinner experience at this charming spot featuring a lovely bar and pizza oven. We went on a Tuesday to enjoy jazz being performed by a friend and was thoroughly impressed by the food. The outdoor seating adds to the cozy ambiance, especially at night. The standout dish of the evening was the caponatta – truly exceptional with its layers of flavor and accompanied by delicious polenta crisp at thw bottom. I regretted sharing it, as it was so good. The pappardelle with short rib ragu was also a solid choice, and the Bari pizza was great. For dessert, the tiramisu struck the perfect balance of sweetness, though my friend couldn't resist eating most of it before I could join in. We paired our meal with a bottle of Toscanna Rosso 2019, priced at $48, which complemented our dishes perfectly. We got five glasses from itThe staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I'm already looking forward to returning .“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Villa Milano, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that instantly made me feel like family. The crew at Villa Milano is truly exceptional - attentive, friendly, and always ready with a smile. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the pizza. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? The pizza at Villa Milano is nothing short of spectacular. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, with a perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings atop a delectably crispy crust. Whether you're a fan of classic combinations or craving something a bit more adventurous, Villa Milano has something for everyone. Trust me when I say, you won't be able to resist going back for seconds (and thirds)! But what truly sets Villa Milano apart is the atmosphere. It's not just a restaurant; it's a place where memories are made and friendships are forged over mouthwatering slices of pizza. Whether you're dining in with friends or grabbing a takeaway, you'll always leave Villa Milano with a smile on your face and a satisfied stomach. In summary, if you're in the mood for delicious pizza served with a side of warmth and hospitality, look no further than Villa Milano. It's a true gem in the world of pizza restaurants, and I can't wait to go back for another slice of perfection.“
“North shores local staple. It's my go to, hands down. You'd be foolish to go anywhere else. Weather your in pt.wash., Rosslyn or Glenn head. 100% fresh every time. A true family establishment. Never disappointed.Parking: There's always a spotWheelchair accessibility: 4 wheels or two legs, your always welcome.“
“An old school authentic Italian deli run by mom, dad, and their son. The food is outstanding, I had an Italian Combo and my wife had a turkey sub, there was no skimping on the ingredients, WOW! As for the pizza ? we traveled here from Cape Cod in search of the best pizza from Rockland County NY through Bergen County NJ. We eventually landed here at Petrillos and met John and his parents working behind the counter. An old school hard-working family making traditional pizzas. We were blown away by what they had created, a super tasty combination of classic sauce and the perfect amount of cheese on a slightly crispy underbody with a soft but crisp crust. We ordered 13 pizzas that day, 10 plain,1 green pepper & onion, and 2 chicken cutlet and cherry pepper. After trying the Chicken cutlet and cherry pepper I called the next morning and ordered 3 more...wow it was awesome. Upon picking up the pizzas Sunday morning we discovered John making breakfast on the flat-top grill so my wife ordered French toast and bacon, yum! We gave this establishment a 5-star review but on a scale of 1-10 we gave our highest review 9.8 only because there has to be room for something higher, we just haven't found it yet. Keep up the good work, this will always be a stop on our road trips from the Cape. You are officially part of our food world family, La Famiglia. Thank you, from Kevin & Melanie“
“Grabbed a sicillian and a Hal’s seltzer which I never see around ! Oh boy was the pizza amazing crafted perfectly with the cheese and the sauce. Perfect ?? I definitely recommend coming here they reopened up in style and taste. The food is amazing here now ! 10/10 best pizza here in Yonkers!??“
“They have been here for forever and the pizza still taste the same good as hell a chicken slice oh my goodness if you want a real slice of pizza check them out for real you'll see what I am talking about enjoy and think about me when you try “
“I work in the area and started coming not long ago & so far the food is really good but it's the awesome service that keeps drawing me back!! The guys are amazing!! All of them!!!Super friendly and Gorg!!! Lol def recommend this spot.“
“I had the signature fortini slice & it was outstanding! The gentleman behind the counter spent several minutes putting the final touches on my pizza to make it stand out! The flavor combination was burrata cheese, panchetta, rosemary & truffle oil! It was a match made in heaven!!!“
“Paul below made a wonderful review and so i decided to give this place a try. I am amazed and in love ❤️. The meatball parm sub is plentiful and filling while tasting absolutely delicious. Keep up the great work. Ohh and the garlic knots with the sauce. That is something special. I could drink their gravy/sauce lol.“
“Came with 2 friends.Sandwiches and fries are great!Staff service is amazing. Guy gave us sanitizing wipes and extra napkins when he saw that we ran out.How would i describe the food? The fries r like mcdonalds fries but crispier and seasoned well. The no fork sandwich is like a largeeee costco hotdog with a toasted, really soft and light bun. Bread isnt too filling; perfect for a light lunch. The meat/cheese interior was supreme though“
“What a hidden gem! This place has such good pizza, and even vegan options including vegan cheese! The staff were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was casual and laid back - perfect for enjoying pizza and beer. Will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Vegan cheese availableDietary restrictions: Vegan cheese availableLots of veggie toppings for pizza available“
“This was our third time at La Botte, and it remains our favorite Italian restaurant in the White Plains area. We had seafood and caesar salads as appetizers, zuppe de mare and tagliolini nero di seppia and panna cotta as a desert. Everything was perfect and the service was excellent. This place remains a real treasure.“
“I adore this place. I have ordered the margarita pizza with broccoli for delivery many times, and it's probably the best pizza I have found in the Bronx. Wood-fired, soft yet grilled crust, fresh mozzarella, really good tomato sauce, and generous with the toppings. Dining in is also a great experience -- it's warm and homey inside, and you feel like you have left the grind of daily life and are settling in for a festive, really good meal. Doesn't feel like an Americanized Italian restaurant but rather a small pocket of Italy in the Bronx. As for the rest of the menu, top notch Caesar salad, really good banana bread pudding, scallop/lentil appetizer is good but best to share because it can be a lot of the same flavor and filling for an appetizer. Must try place in the Bronx!“
“Neighborhood Pizza Shop Reborn!Loved coming here growing up in New Ro, it has only gotten better with the new owners! Mario and his brother are super friendly down to earth people! Service is always quick and friendly and they always have something tasty coming out of the oven whenever I walk in! My favorites are the Sicilian Slice, Meat Slice, Regular Slice, Chicken Francese and their desserts are amazing (try the Tiramisu or the Creme Brule Cheese Cake! They are sooo good!)“
“I took my mother out to Bono Trattoria for her birthday dinner. Everything was absolutely perfect. Barbara, our server, was personable and gave us excellent feedback on her favorites when we asked. She was very attentive in making sure all our needs were met, and we also had a wonderful conversation. Turns out we are practically neighbors. I got the Grilled Polenta with the Mushroom Sauce as a starter. For my entree, I got the Pappardelle with Wild Boar Ragú. Both dishes were DELICIOUS, and I had ZERO complaints. My mom got the calamari as her starter as well as the Pappardelle. She was very pleased with her calamari and liked how it wasn't overly breaded and the cuts of calamari weren't too thick.Overall, I can't recommend Bono Trattoria enough. I've lived in the neighborhood for almost 15 years, and this is a top-tier spot to go for a nice dinner with a good vibe.“
“Born in Manhattan, raised in Brooklyn and Queens. We know pizza, The Gloria's, Original John's, Ray's etc. Broadway Pizza is the real deal. Cooked just right, thin crust crispy, flavorful, and fresh! If you are new to the game, or not a "foodie" don't bother reviewing! The pizza here is the best in Westchester and the service is great to boot.“
“First, let me start by saying I don't believe in bad reviews, they can hurt a person's business and I think people should judge for themselves. Having said that, I do, however, believe in good reviews so here goes. I feel like this restaurant is one of the best pizzeria/Italian restaurants that I've ever been to. Aside from the courteous staff and the excellent service, the food is amazing. You can't go wrong with anything that you order. We've been here quite a few times and never had a bad experience. We ordered different things every time and the food seems to be getting better and better. Just an excellent experience overall. Besides all that, the place is very inviting and very clean. Shout out to the staff and owner for making us feel like it was worth it to come all the way from Queens on a Friday night during lent. One of our favorite places by far. I wish I could give it more than just five stars.“
“The ambience was very pleasant. there was outside seating, garden seating, as well as indoor seating. the italy vs spain cheese plate was delicious, the ricotta honey I highly recommend. the pasta was super fresh and overall it was a good value for your money and I would definitely visit again“
“As soon as you walk in the aroma is straight Italiano had me feeling like Julius Cesar ready to devour everything in sight because the smell was so amazing. Literally anything you want or are curious to try on the menu is gonna taste delicious will definitely be back asap!“
“I've tried different pizza slices at this place and they are all exceptional, specially the one with cheddar cheese, bacon, caramelized onion and minced meat. The people who work there are very kind and welcoming and you must visit the place if you're going to little italy in the Bronx. The prices are accesible and the crust of the slices is delicious and well made.“
“Best slice we got was the vodka slice and the upside down. House pie was nothing special and wasn’t a fan of bruschetta. Was disappointed that you can only order slices that they have available once you get to the front of the line so it’s kind of the luck of the draw on if you can try all the slices you want. Wasn’t able to try the Angry Nonna, Pepperoni, or Cacio e Pepe. Recommend you go right when they open or when they aren’t busy if you want to try the popular slices.“
“Tried Full Moon (Bronxville) for the first time and loved it. I ordered a wrap with sausage and broccoli rabe. I'm picky and critical - It was excellent! My husband ordered a spicy buffalo chicken wrap - he was as pleased as I was. The staff is friendly and the food is great!“
