“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“Mario's Metro Pizza is hands down the best pizzaria in New Rochelle; and I have tried them all as a New Ro long time resident. I am a pizza aficionado and their pizza has only the top ingredient. Their cheese and sauce is amazing.
Also, the owner is incredibly welcoming and kind. This guy is 1st class.

They didn’t but they created it by carrying a table and chairs outside for us - talk about customer service! Nick was such a fantastic host - setting us up, providing exceptional service and great conversation! I also can’t forget to mention how incredible the pizza and chicken roll were! “Absolutely loved our experience here tonight! I am unsure of the hostesses name but she was a doll and clearly had everything running so smoothly. As walk-ins we were even able to pick where we wanted to sit. Juan was our waiter who was such a gem, so attentive but also did not rush us at all. We got the baked clams, veal Marsala and the gnocchi special which were excellent. The manager also came over to say hello which felt very personable. We can’t wait to come back!“

I really wasn’t expecting much considering it’s literally a truck on the side of the road randomly in the industrial part of Yonkers but I was absolutely blown away. I picked up a pizza on the way back to my job and when I opened it all of my coworkers were taken by how delicious it smelled. “I have to start with they have the Manhattan Special Espresso Soda! One of my favs and makes it worth the trip in and of itself.
That said, I got the eggplant dinner with a salad and garlic knots. I didn't specify a dressing and got a creamy balsamic that was really good. The knots were great with just a little burnt cheese on the top. Not burnt in a bad way, maybe crispy is a better term. But delicious and buttery. The eggplant was also spot on, perfect amount of sauce and nice tender eggplant with the thinnest layer of breading that was crispy along the edges. I'll definitely be back.“
