“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“We stopped here while traveling from RI to PA and WOW are we glad we did. We needed a place to accommodate our small pup so we stopped to ask if they had outdoor seating. They didn’t but they created it by carrying a table and chairs outside for us - talk about customer service! Nick was such a fantastic host - setting us up, providing exceptional service and great conversation! I also can’t forget to mention how incredible the pizza and chicken roll were! This place is a 10/10 and we will definitely find a reason to stop back again!“

“Delicious Margarita pizza! All ingredients are fresh. We use to drive over the bridge to Cassis’s in Orangburg, NY for pizza, but no more. We met the owner yesterday and he really takes pride in his business. Venice Pizza is now our go to place when we want delicious pies.“

When I walked in for a pickup order, it felt like a warm, family environment. “I stopped by right before they closed. Johnny waived me into the parking lot. I have heard mixed reviews and we wanted to try something new. The gentlemen were friendly and offered to make anything I wanted. I grabbed a few slices of what was left. The pizza was great. I love their crust and their sauce is tasty and not salty. “If you’re ordering a large amount of food from A&V Pizza to go on a Friday evening, do yourself a favor and call *90 minutes ahead* because there’s probably going to be a wait. But I will say this: **it is worth every second.** My son and I went there for dinner. It was actually my first time, although he goes pretty often with his father, and I was seriously impressed. I ordered the **Shrimp Francese with linguine in the same Francese sauce**, along with a side of sautéed spinach. My son ordered the **Chicken Francese**, also with pasta in the Francese sauce. There was a little mix-up and his pasta came with marinara instead, but honestly, he didn’t even mind because everything was still that good! 😂 We also ordered a **large pizza with extra sauce**, and that was delicious too. We called our order in about an hour and 10 minutes before arriving and still waited another 25–30 minutes once we got there. They were BUSY — so definitely plan ahead on a Friday night. But the food? **Absolutely worth the wait.** Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and like the kind of Italian food you’re already thinking about ordering again before you’ve even finished what’s on your plate. And a special shoutout to **Nat**, who helped us. He was great and made the experience even better. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying something else — although that Shrimp Francese is going to be hard not to order again!“

“First met Danny & his family at their restaurant in Upper Nyack, Casa del Mare. It was our hometown favorite & sad when they closed. THEN we found him here, in Irvington! No place better for pizza, garlic knots & many other favorites. They treat you like family & are always happy to see their Rockland families. It’s worth the trip over the TZ Bridge!! We ordered the Beekman Ave specialty pizza, a regular pepperoni, and the eggplant pizza. The eggplant pizza was absolutely incredible—easily one of the best pizzas I've had in Westchester.

The style is a thin, bar-style pie similar to what you'd find in New Jersey, with a vibe like Colony Grill. The wings were excellent too. If you're a fan of thin-crust, bar-style pizza, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended.“

Diners were dressed in the full spectrum from casual to sequins to Filoli Nightfall costumes. As a party of four, we tried almost everything on the pre-fixe menu. Nothing disappointed. “This is a hidden gem. I've been to Sally's Apizza in New Haven, Connecticut. This place is better. I have it in a tie with John's of Bleecker Street in Manhattan. It may be even better than John's. The pizza has been cooked perfectly both times I have gone. This guy knows what he's doing.“
