“Late lunch on a Wednesday, i was there better 2:30-3:00 so just a couple other customers. Service was very kind, speedy, and well done. Buffalo Mozzarella Tomato appetizer was very good. The cheese was the star, could have used slightly larger tomato, but i would order again. Could not decide on entree so went with two, why not....i was hungry. Truffle risotto was good, not the best I've ever had, but the flavor was there and it was good, i would order it again also. Chilean Sea bass with potatoes and vegetables was all very well prepared. Fish was simple, no sauce or anything, just a large piece of fish with crispy skin left on. I usually don't like the skin but this was really good. Everything else on the plate was well prepared. All in all I think I would give the food like a 4.25-4.5 stars but the servers were really really nice, granted they weren't crowded so they had time, but I moved them up to 5 stars for the service“
“amazing pizza! ordered the upside pie (its like an l & b spumoni style pizza) with a utica twist (its a detroit style not a sicilian but similar not as thick) and it was incredible. the sauce was on point, the crust chewy and delicious and the grated cheese on top was perfect…. the owner is incredibly nice and friendly which makes me want to support this pizzeria even more…. do yourself a favor and stop by this place…. you will be happy that you did…. thanks westchester foodies facebook group for highlighting this place… so glad i tried it“

“We ordered a few catering trays to bring to the medical center, as a big group of family were visiting for a patient's bday. Overall very successful, everyone loved the food, and it was packed well. Thanks to Yelp for helping me find this place. Got the small salad which was a big bowl, balsamic on the side was really thick and creamy, could have been heavier on the balsamic. Small tray of plain wings (about 30) were a hit, w/tasty chunky blue cheese dressing. For entrees we chose the penne vodka (no bacon), broccoli rabe, and the chicken with sun dried tomatoes. Pasta was cooked well with a good tomato-y sauce. Chicken was very moist with a light garlic sauce. Gave us a bag of bread rolls, no butter, but they were hardly touched. Plates/utensils/napkins as requested, and gave us plastic serving spoons and salad thongs which we forgot we would need. Efficient friendly service.“

“I ordered through DoorDash.... let me tell YOU how INSANELY DELICIOUS their food is. Once in awhile I get their fettuccine alfredo and it is to die for. It comes with their garlic bread, which is also soft, warm and tasty. How can anyone complain about their food being accompanied by WARM bread?! I am picky when it comes to calzones so when I tell the internet that they have the best, they really do. My order was delivered as ordered and HOT. Thank you to the chef! “We ordered trays of food for a family gathering and it was soooooo good! My only recommendation is to order twice as much as you think you will need bc people will devour it! Highly recommend the pernil, yellow rice and beans. Their sweet plantains are to die for. The owner is such a lovely guy and overall just love this place for lunch or catering.“
“Honestly.....I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed Sir John's on yelp yet, maybe because we always consistently have great meals here and locals know it's a great restaurant?? Maybe because I know I have so many good things to say? This is going to be a bit long... so here it goes!! I grew up in Valhalla and was raised going to this restaurant with my family and friends family it has always been a one of the Italian restaurants we all went to for a great meal. I no longer live up in Westchester, I've been living out of state for a number of years. Even when I got married, 17 years ago I wasn't living in NY but I still did my rehearsal dinner here, as well as my brother doing his rehearsal dinner here. We've also had several celebrations of life for my Grandmother and my parents. This past weekend we celebrated a Christening, I helped my brother and wife plan the party. Once again , John and his staff did not disappoint! The food was fantastic, appetizers were first followed by the supreme buffet, everything served tasted great! Penne ala vodka, chicken francese,scarpariello, sausage and peppers roasted potatoes were all fantastic. Party goers went up 2 and 3 times! If you are ever looking for a venue for a party, I highly recommend John and his staff! Great party, great food and the fairest prices around!“
