Mario’s Metro Pizza completely changed what I expected from a pizzeria. We came in for a full tasting and every single dish overdelivered. The chicken scarpariello was the standout, juicy chicken smothered in a sauce with real depth, sausage and thin cut potatoes mixed in, plated like something from a sit down Italian restaurant rather than handed over a counter. My first time visiting was Sunday, and I was greeted by 2 lovely men. They were so friendly and welcoming. I had the hot honey pepperoni with garlic knots and got to try the Detroit style which I loved. Great service, atmosphere and delicious food. Such a wonderful first impression.
Mario’s is a must have for New Rochelle. The pizza was hot fresh and delicious and he even offered me a free garlic knot to taste that came right out of the oven!
