“This is a great addition to the neighborhood. Great food, creative dishes, lots of ,gluten free options, lovely atmosphere. The downside is that the waitstaff are not well trained. They just don’t know proper restaurant hospitality skills. Often they don’t know which menu offerings are available , have a laissez faire attitude and or stop by the table too frequently and interrupt conversation. Management : please train your bar staff and wait staff! If that improves you have five star restaurant.“

“I had a great night at the oak house. From the second I sat at the bar, Baze set a great impression. Professional, experienced and completely dialed in. He was attentive without being intrusive as it was my first time there and I was on a date. He knew exactly how to read the room. That kind of service makes a difference. I ordered the Pears and Lychee cocktail and it was excellent and made with precision. On Baze’s recommendation, I went with the peach glazed wings and the short rib. Both delivered. The wings had real flavor with a good caramelized finish, and the short rib was very good and cooked perfect. What stood out most was the consistency in service. Baze stayed on top of everything and made sure the night ran smoothly. It’s rare to find a spot that gets both the food and the hospitality right. He definitely helped make it a strong date night. I’ll definitely be back.“

“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“Place is a hidden treasure. Food is outstanding! The waiters were very welcoming, funny and very attentive without rushing us before we could ask for anything they were right there. The owner is super sweet with a beautiful personality. He makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The food was phenomenal every dish was seasoned perfectly and portions were plentiful. The prices very reasonable for the service and food quality they provide. This is so far our favorite Italian cuisine restaurant I'm so glad we live close by we will be back. “Do you have a black book filled with eating delights? I do and Cafe D'Anvers is in it. So when Laura wanted to meet me to celebrate my birthday, I made a reservation. Located in East Harlem, the subway took me to 103rd Street. A steep hill fortified my appetite. Cafe D'Anvers is easy to spot with it's inviting red exterior. Laura was at the table. Jackie greeted us cheerfully. We came here for Moules Frites which we ordered and a glass of Sancerre to wash it down. Two large kettles were put down in front of us with plenty of mussels and a separate bowl of fries. Mayo and ketchup were given to dip the fries. I prefer mayo. We ate our way enjoying the meal. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with a sour cherry sauce and their signature chocolate mousse with strawberries and puffs of whipped cream. Both desserts satisfied immensely. I recognized the mousse cups as I had bought them at Eataly. Jackie told us that they make the mousses and have an account with Eataly to sell it there. Laura and I enjoyed our lunch here. I also spied Jo Malone hand wash of English Pear and Freesia in the gender neutral restroom. Cafe D'Anvers is a cozy restaurant with both seating and a bar area. I am looking forward to another meal here.“

Auto 20% gratuity was also included for 2 people and was undisclosed. Dinner was just ok overall and the valentines day set menu and one glass of wine ended up costing over $200 for two people.“

“Very good place for Neapolitan-style pizza. We started off with grilled artichoke hearts with lemon vinaigrette & shaved pecorino toscano - a nice antipasto - and then shared two pizzas: the spicy Picca (tomato sauce, fontina, hot sausage, red onions, chillies) and the Norma (tomato sauce, fried eggplant, ricotta, pecorino, garlic & basil).

Both were really good - with soft, pillowy, lightly-charred Neapolitan-style crust - but the zesty Picca had the edge (the Norma was slightly bland / under seasoned).

The cocktail menu was great and the drinks I actually got were divine but the wait for them and the mood of the server was less then desirable especially for a birthday party, she treated us as if we were a hindrance and we were bothering her by asking her for drinks. Usually, when booking a private party, you get the best of the best as your server if this was their best, it definitely was not good enough.“

“So my Lenten sacrifice included all things that look good, taste good & make me feel good. So last night after an intense interpersonal interaction earlier in the day I headed to Yatenga. I was greeted by the lovely Todd the bar man (one of the things that look good)who greeted warmly and took my order. He returned with my preferred cocktail-The Lou Lou! The fact that he remembered made me feel like a Prince (only a Prince as he’s a King). I started my meal with the Cauliflower soup which was well flavored and simply delicious. It was so good it was enough to turn a carnivore into a vegetarian! Then I had the Chicken Francaise which was prepared to perfection. The accompanying sauce was smooth and also highly flavored. The chicken breast’s were tender & the texture was as if the chicken had just been sacrificed moments before. The vegetables of haricot verts and carrots were perfectly al dente. And my dessert of Tart Tartin could not have been better; nice flaky crust and perfectly sweetened! In the past 13 years I have not patronized another restaurant in Harlem in particular and NYC in general. Why? Because I don’t have the confidence that I will be as well treated and cared for and well-fed as I am at Yatenga. The fact that Todd the barman does double duty as a server and does it affably is one major reason I keep going back. The management must be superior-why else would the staff be so equally superior. I travel a lot for work & thusly try to avoid restaurants in other towns and villages because I know they’re not Yatenga.“

They also have another location across from the Javits Center. In addition to having wonderful coffee and teas as well as sandwiches and desserts, they occasionally have musicians perform in their dining room!“

“By far my fave kbbq spot. The meats are high quality and the servers are always very friendly. Their marinated short ribs and house special spicy pork are my absolute faves. Love how the charcoal flavor gets into the meat. Their mool nengmyun (buckwheat noodles in a cold broth) compliments their bbq meats really well, and their broth is the real deal. The Korean-style beef tartare (over seasoned sushi rice) is phenomenal and my must-eat every time I go.“
