I love this place! It's charming and the owners are French so it feels like I took a plane to France. The food is always spot on and delicious! It's a place I come often with my friends because it reminds us of our study abroad. They have specials and Monday mussels night is such a great deal! Looking forward to going back soon.
I do love this place. It's not in my neighborhood, but I wish that it was. It's a NY approximation of a neighborhood french cafe. If that description makes sense to you, then you will be happy here.

Based on the reviews, Cafe du Soleil is a lovely, iconic, and lively restaurant in NYC. The food is excellent and delicious, with great specials during the week. The staff is warm, friendly, and delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming with a great vibe, and the mood is always uplifting. Reviewers recommend the salmon Egg Benedict, the Coq Au Vin, the apple tarte dessert, le pâté de campagne, les escargots, le bœuf bourguignon, la crème brûlée, the classic burger, the garlic frites, and the Vegetarian Avocado Toast. The best cosmopolitan's are also available. It is an authentic spot with inviting smells of garlic, shallots, and wine. While service can be slightly slow for drinks, the food arrives within 20 minutes. It is a nice place to sit down with a friend for a few glasses of wine and a meal, and it can become a regular brunch spot.
