Uncover Toms River's Mexican dining scene with Restaurantji's insights.
“as authentic as I think one could hope for. it doesn't appear that they had a liquor license however that the tracks very little from the experience. service was great and the food was outstanding. My wife enjoyed the quesadillas very much. everything there is homemade and again as authentic as one could ever hope for. definitely a good find even though it doesn't look like much from the outside.“
“West coast in the east coast, food had great authentic flavor and same goes for the salsas. Had an Agua de Jamaica and it was real flor de Jamaica, not the fake powder kind. TV was playing music videos, too loud for the size of space but , didn't bother me, I like Corridos. Def will come back to this place. They also make fresh pan dulce.“
“I always get their cheese steaks with peppers and onions. Soo good! My only complaints, they close so early! They close at 3:00 and i would love to order dinner for my family at times. I went there 3/10/24 @4:15 pm and they were already closed. They would make a killing if open for dinner until at least 5:30 -6:00 pm. Also, would be fantastic if they delivered, such as via Grub Hub or Uber Eats etc.. Other than those 2 complaints, I LOVE the food and the staff!! Highly recommend ?“
“Picture this: a tired, hungry high school lacrosse coach comes in wanting nothing but a beer and some food after a long week. He sits with some friends and out walks Diane, ready and willing to serve them with the utmost sincerity and care. She was prompt with everything and made the experience truly enjoyable. Without her, we would be starved, parched, and without joy in our lives. Thank you Diane, you've made my Friday night one to remember!“
“I brought my 12yo here. Each of us being on the Autism Spectrum, we were SO excited that there's minimal human interaction lol They have 2 wide tablets where you can see pictures and places your order. There are menu screens over head as well. A young man came out to greet us and to let us know that if we have any questions or concerns that he's just right on the other side of the wall. Freakin Perfect.I obsessed over the wicked resin flooring. So cool!! Ok the food. We each got a trio of different tacos as well as the jalapeno poppers. I am SOOOOOO selective when it comes to tacos. I love both authentic Mexican style as well as crunchy American style. I found Tacoholics to be a fusion. Me and my kid enjoyed our food. We also enjoyed not having to do awkward small talk with a server. We will most definitely be back!!“

“Great staff. With some though you may experience difficulty with speaking English but it will eventually get worked out. They're very nice. It is probably the most authentic Mexican food around hence most of the customers are Mexican. I go here regularly. Bistec a la Mexicana is my go to.“
“We have NEVER had a bad meal here! Every single time it has been amazing. Fresh, delicious, consistent and noteworthy. Anything we have tried we have loved. Highly recommend!!Vegetarian options: My vegetarian daughter loved their options“
“I cannot describe in words how great of a place Bubbakoo’s Burritos is. I would say I average Bubbakoo’s for dinner at least twice a week, and I have never been disappointed in my life. I get a variety of items off their menu, and each item has been served hot and fresh. The place is very clean and the employment is top notch. I get greeted with a “hello” and as I exit they say “have a nice day”“
“It was an online order that was ready when I got there. Food was warm when I got home, container was filled to the brim and it was delicious. I walked in the store to pick it up, the place was clean and had nice music playing and I was greeted with a friendly hello.“
“If you love authentic tacos and Mexican food they will bring you back for more! The fish tacos and golden tacos with steak are awesome with fresh cilantro and of course with corn tortillas! They have a menu you just want to order everything on it ! A+ in my book!!!!!“
“I've eaten here with my family many times but this is my first time posting about it. The food is phenomenal. For reference, I'm used to the cuisine from the San Diego area where I'm from and this is definitely a close competitor to the authenticity. We will be coming back here for the foreseeable future.“
