“We came to fill our tummies with the best chicken rice in nyc (I’ve eaten pretty much every hainanese chicken rice there is in nyc, even Thai ones) but left with our hearts filled with warmth as well.

We can either our 1.5 yo daughter and upon realizing I was at the time alone with my daughter, he suggested we get a high chair which I was not aware was available. He went ahead and took the high chair for my kiddo and also went ahead to carry both trays of chicken rice to our table.

The kindness did not end there. During the meal, he noticed my daughter was not eating much of the chicken rice so he got his staff to come over to give us a half a bowl of chicken congee, which my daughter loved. He made sure the extra seasoning was put on the side instead which was a nice touch.

We were so touched by his actions and my wife was almost in tears by his kindness.

We gobbled down our chicken rice, my daughter finished most of the congee (which was also very tasty), thanked him and his staff for their kindness, and left with good vibes all over.

So if you ever see Christopher there, give that kind man a shoutout. What a wonderful human being. The world needs more Christophers. Be like him!“

“Such an underrated Halal food cart right at the heart of Wall Street Financial District. Rather than going out of your way to a fancy Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurant, I highly recommend stopping by the Continental Express Halal Guys.

This is your no-nonsense New York staple, the Halal street food, and they do it very well here.

I got the Combination Over Rice, which consists of lamb gyros and chicken over rice and slathered with that delicious, signature white sauce plus a generous dash of spicy red sauce to boot.

So how does it taste? Like a gushing waterfall of yummy, earthy flavor and spices in every bite! It may look like a relatively small box, but it's dense in taste.

And on top of that, this is only $7.00 cash or $7.95 with card! You get so much for your money and you leave with a full, satisfied stomach.

“The auntie at this cart pays attention to the details and does not skimp on the sauce, she used a scissor to make small openings in the noodle for the sauce to seep through to the bottom, giving a nice coating of sauce to every part of the noodles instead of letting most of the sauce pile up on top. Prices are reasonable as well!“

The price on Tyne right side of the truck isn’t the right amount . They increased the price and had a different rate on the front of the cart ..

Got felafel over rice .. felafel was fresh ….i actually liked their saffron rice . It was fresh and tasted good . They gave it with salad and some sauce on the top. “Notalgic is the word that defines the place, the older gentleman who was there, who is not the owner JohnPhillis, is a person who should be retired, has no patience with customers and tourists, is very rude when dealing with people, and This ends up influencing the rest of the team, who learn how not to treat people. The lamb is pretty flavorful but not as much as the chicken, the hot sauce adds and pairs really well with the protein and rice while the green sauce gives it a fresh minty flavor. “I went to Tacos El Idolo at about 2:30 am last night while waiting for my friend to get off of work. The truck was unassuming and simple, which was a good sign. I ordered a chicken tostada, a taco arabe, and a carne asada taco. I asked for extra green salsa and the staff happily gave it to me. I ate everything two blocks away outside of Wonderville on top of a city trash can. It was pretty good!

I was surprised as a San Diego native, since I’m used to pretty exceptional Mexican food in Tijuana and the border area. My favorite items were the chicken tostada and carne asada taco. If you’re in the area, they serve until 5 am!“
