“Food... Amazing!! Service... Fantastic!! Atmosphere... Cozy!!I highly recommend this restaurant. I enjoy the delicious food (especially the Salmon Freekah Salad and Pistachio Sticky Bun) and the Brown Butter Artichoke Borekas are everything!!! After a year of coming here, I've tried nearly everything on the menu ? Owner, Chef Mike Solomonov is incredibly generous!!!“
“Came here at 8:30 on a Friday night with my family and the place was surprisingly empty. Ahmed, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and prompt service. He gave us several recommendations (we ordered them all) and every dish was great. We got the branzino, the lamb chops, the half grilled chicken, hummusand mishwia. While every dish was truly tasty, my two favorites were the branzino and mishwia. I told Ahmed it was my parents anniversary and he gave us tea and baklava on the house. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone. The food, the hospitality, and the service is top notch.“
“10/10, we got there 15 minutes late due to heavy rain, no problem at all! My babe booked the 5 course meal in a private wine cellar (it’s only 1 down the basement) very romantic w/rose petals and candle lights, I’m vegan and the chef really threw it down in the kitchen just for me :-) very happy about that, you have to pay in advance and beverages aren’t included, will definitely go back.“
“I’ve been to several Philadelphia cheesecake spots in the past few years that I have been coming. FYI I’m from the DC. And I have to say that from all the Philly cheesesteak spots that I have tried. This one is the BEST.. and DIRT dessert they have is Crack!“
“The food was excellent and the service was good. We went for an event and I just don't think this space was right for it. We also ended up at their 2nd location by accident and ended up crashing another private party. It was overall a nice time and we enjoyed the food, just wish there was more space to enjoy it in.“
“I chose the vedge experience to try 3 dishes and desert for $65/person. All the plates were not only uniquely thought through and delicious, but also presented like works of art. I really enjoyed the creative balance of flavors they used from only plant sources that even mimicked non-vegetarian dishes I've had before. Menu rotates seasonal so I will be returning soon and is well accomodating for gluten free patrons. An experience well worth trying“
“Had “The Paesano” from Paesano’s in Philly yesterday. This is in the Italian market area of South Philly which I love (aside from finding parking) and the people who worked here were all super friendly and helpful.I posted a picture with the ingredients for this one. This had a flavor that I’ve maybe never tasted before all wrapped in one. I enjoyed how it all played off each other (I could eat pepperoncini on anything and be happy too) and the roll was wonderful.Unfortunately I will say that the brisket was a bit tough, which surprised me. I believe it was cut on the wrong angle but there were multiple bites where I really had to tear at it. Had this brisket been as tender as it should have, I’d put this sandwich up against most sandwiches in the city…and I mean that. Put a properly trimmed and roasted brisket on this one and it’s up there with the best roast pork’s and cheesesteaks around imoDefinitely Didn’t Suck, but did leave room for improvement for sure.Check out video and more content on this spot and many others on my social media pages here - https://linktr.ee/Didnt_Suck“
“My wife is gluten-free for medical reasons. To make things easier at home I decided to follow the same diet. Over the years, I started to prefer gluten-free cakes. This gem in South Philly has the best gluten-free donuts I’ve ever tasted. Can’t wait to visit again and try more of the menu. Customer service was as excellent as the product!“
“The BEST cream filled doughnuts I have ever had. The filling itself is light and creamy with just the right amount of sweet. The texture of the doughnut was exceptionally well done as well. The peanut butter cream filled doughnut had peanut butter mixed in with the cream filling, the Nutella just has Nutella spread on top. Plenty of variety even in cream filled doughnuts. The flavor of the blueberry fritter was top 2 for a non-apple fritter. Not as heavy and crispy as I like a fritter though.Choosing from 2 cases of minimum 30 doughnut 0 do not recommend.Eating any variety of doughnut they have: 10/10 would recommend going every day for 2 weeks to try them all and enjoy favorites. I want to make another Google account to rate 5stars again⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Blackened Cauliflower sandwich 10/10Vanilla oatmeal 10/10Zucchini fritters 9/10Blueberry iced 10/10Everything is beyond delicious. I keep trying different things when I go but I always make sure to get the blackened cauliflower sandwich.. it’s so darn good.“
“Yes, yes, yes! I have come here twice now and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. You can really tell how much care/time is put into the food. From the sides to mains, everything is a 10/10. The service is impeccable as well. You will not be disappointed. This is by far one of the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurants in the city. Portions are also huge. PS don't skip on the homemade hot sauce, it's SO GOOD. You will not have a bad meal here.“
“Beautiful little spot for a cup of coffee and tasy treats in bustling center city west. Fantastic art. They also have roasted coffee. Unfortunately, this location has a large step up to get in, getting inside is not easily accessible for people with mobility challenges.“
“I’ve been here for brunch and happy hour. Great breakfast menu and the food is spectacular. The rooftop is a must see. The only issue is that you have to go all the way to the basement to use the restroom and you aren’t able to take the stairs to exit out the first floor. The happy hour food is great, but the drink offerings and discounts are thin. Something to be aware of: the “dirty double” martini is not actually a double, so that’s kind of misleading. Service and food are great though, so I definitely still recommend checking this place out!“
“Super tasty Italian food in a neighborhood spot that’s much more interesting than a South Philly red gravy spot. The baked mozzarella with balsamic vinegar is superb as was the veal and the spaghetti with shell fish in a white garlic sauce.Service was super, friendly and made great recommendations. The restaurant is a byob.“
“OMG! Our first-time experience was nothing short of amazing. Our server Vince took really good care of his as we celebrated my husband's birthday. Vince was very versed with the menu and helped us make some really delicious decisions... we're going to be returning customers! Appetizers were pork belly bao and the ribs . Entrée steak and sea bass“
“Something I love about this place and Philadelphia is the idea of taking advantage of the space by having all the teams in the same area. This makes it much easier because parking, routes, security and of course the good atmosphere before the game in the nearby bars are shared.I had to go on a very hot summer day but the venue, in addition to being well oriented to avoid excessive sunlight, also has very good air circulation... and you can always cool off with a beer inside during the game. ?“
“Delightful visit to this bakery! The mocha cake was heavenly—moist, rich in flavor, and with the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate. Paired with their freshly brewed coffee, it was an absolute treat. Cozy ambiance and friendly staff added to the wonderful experience. A must-try spot for anyone looking for quality cakes and coffee. Highly recommend!“
“This has been my go-to bakery since I lived in Philly! Always a great selection & variety of items with the ability to try something different each time you visit. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious and will keep coming back! Also some great gluten-free and vegan options there as well.“
“Exceptional coffee shop if you like real coffee. Ordered a coffee just before they closed and they didn’t have anything on drip ready or fresh but had made plenty for a previous pour over and got some of their treehouse blend. Fantastic. I buy their beans online. Also highly recommend. They have some incredible tasting notes. Also very comfortable space at the time I went, not overcrowded or loud.“
“I’ve come here multiple times in the past decade and the chaat and lassi never fail to hit the spot. I got a fig lassi and a paneer chaat, both were so refreshing and the owner is so kind and hospitable. While this spot is not in a great location, the lassis and food make it worth it!!!“
“This place has been solid for a long time. They have a pretty large footprint for the area. Service is fast. Pho is great. House Vermicelli is great. Love the option to easily add items to your dish for a small charge. I don’t do any cocktails or drinks here tho. Parking always seems just sufficient so you can get in right away and enjoy.“
“What we ordered: Baker’s Basket, Continental Breakfast, French Omelet, and a hot latte.I’d recommend the Continental Breakfast if you’re indecisive or if you want a variety in one order, which was fun for me to try. I love the croissants here because they are not too flaky yet still buttery and fresh. However, the scone was too dry for my liking, and the toasted brioche was okay. It was a fun breakfast for us with friendly service.Be mindful of the parking as well, because you’ll need to parallel park and pay for the time you’re there. If you’re even a couple of minutes late, you may end up with a ticket, which was a painful experience for us.“
“My family and I visited front street cafe while staying in Philly and it was sooo amazing to see so many vegetarian/vegan options! I also loved the atmosphere of the place and the server was so happy and sweet! A little bit pricey, but the food was wonderful, and I was so thankful as a vegan traveling to see so many options for me. Thank you guys!“
“I’m so impressed how they recently upgraded the quality of items from good to great! I’ve had multiple croissants that were delicious with amazing lamination and an almond tart that was also amazing. Bread is excellent quality. All well priced too!“
“Had by birthday gathering here last year and it was magical! My friends loved it. They were super easy to work with and had a table for 15 set up by the time we got there. This was the place where my brother fell in love with cheese. That was how good the spread was!Dietary restrictions: Accommodated, my friend that was gluten-free with awesome other options.“
“Our experience with the sonho was thoroughly delightful. The sourdough donut provided a perfect base—neither too sweet nor overpowering—which elegantly complemented the richer sweetness of the ganache. The custard center was killer, and its subtlety in sweetness allowed the depth of flavors to shine through without being overshadowed by too much sugar. This careful balance of ingredients made for an exceptional overall flavor profile that we greatly appreciated. We're eager to return and explore more of their offerings!“
“Lively, fun place, it is very popular. It was very busy on a mid-Sunday afternoon. Nice menu selections. The avocado -chicken is very nice. A good balance of flavors. The plantains are excellent. The arepa itself, I like a bit more flavor in mine. Prices were very reasonable.“
“Ladies & gentleman, welcome to gluten free heaven. I made a point to stop here when I was in the area & I am so glad I did. I had the g free pretzoli and only wish I had stocked up on some other Gfree pretzel treats. The pretzel itself was chewy and delicious. The prerzoli was stuffed with pepperoni and cheese & delicious. THEY DO GFREE PRETZEL PARTY TRAYS so I will most definitely be back.“
“Absolutely delicious place with several gluten free options. Tried this while in town and got a rica arepa and yuca fries and HOOOOOOOO BUDDY this is so good! Whatever the green creamy sauce is, it's fantastic. Very happy we stopped.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian arepas and a vegetarian empanada.Dietary restrictions: Extremely gluten free friendly“
“I went for some beans today, having had Passero's coffee at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (in the members lounge) Talking with Jeff, who greeted me as I came in, I came home with the Organic Bali Blue Moon "medium dark" roast. It's a lovely shop, the "organized clutter" of a college store perhaps, instantly welcoming and such a friendly informed person (Jeff) and (the reason I went to the source) exceptional coffee. I have yet to try the beans: that's whats for breakfast tomorrow! New town for me and new connections made!“
“My husband has celiac but was also insisting that we have a wedding cake for us to cut at our wedding. None of the Italian bakeries in Philadelphia offer GF so I looked around for other bakeries and found High Fidelity. I stopped in one day to see if they could make a custom cake for us — not only did they do that with only a weeks notice but the cake turned out beautiful and absolutely delicious! Brady and Janette were incredibly kind and helpful and we can’t wait to try everything else they make!“
“Such a treat! My son and I (both with celiac) visited today and were so excited to be in a place where everything there was safe to eat! Not only safe to eat but delicious as well. My son got the chocolate mint cupcake and said it was the best he ever had. I got the GF and vegan apple turnover and wasn't disappointed! We will definitely be back!“
“One of our favorite restaurants ❣️ Always great & different daily specials which are very delicious ?. Many fabulous choices on regular menu ❣️. Service is amazing and very pleasant as well❣️❣️❣️ Always an awesome & enjoyable time ?“
“I'm definitely going to return here for a second visit. I arrived a little late but the proprietor was very gracious in my staying to finish a little past my time to leave. This was definitely based on the pleasant exchange we shared as we talked of the beautiful area she created in providing customers with such a space.I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and 2 eggs scrambled soft which were actually served hard but they were still good. No harm, no foul. I just like soft eggs. The bathroom was clean, well stocked and didn't smell. The Cafe keeper was very pleasant, engaging and welcoming.“
“Seriously the best pizza in South Philadelphia. Delicious! I usually order the Grandma pie, which is always so good. Since it was Valentine’s Day we order the heart shaped original pizza and I think I have a new favorite! The crust was thin, crispy and absolutely delicious. Definitely will be ordering that again! The real star of this order were the “Italian Chicken Wings”!! These were the best wings I have ever eaten in my life!! So tasty, seriously you have to try them!“
“The staff was absolutely amazing, Annie was super friendly and kind. Our first time visiting Philadelphia and she recommended several places to check out in brewery town. This place has a great selection of beer and lavish cocktails. The food was amazing, I really loved the pork burnt ends. The pho was delicious, fish and chips were nicely battered and tasty. I will be back and I recommend you give them a try!“
“My husband is a big fan of their Coconut custard doughnuts, it was my first time trying it and it did not disappoint. So fresh and soft. The Nutella doughnut was filled with cream and it wasn't too sweet - making it the perfect companion to the coconut doughnut.“
“I've had the West Coast Taco's ..3 times so far and Im slightly addicted The Haddock is cooked perfectly dressed with a mayo of some kind very tasty and the mango salsa is the perfect compliment. The menu is tempting and I plan on taking advantage of it just as soon as I get over the West Coast Taco's. They currently rock my world and at my age I'll take what I can get ?“
“Highly highly recommend this Black Owned Business!! You will not be disappointed!!! Best cupcakes I’ve literally ever tasted - which is saying a lot because before Kia’s I did not like cupcakes!!! I’ve tried so many flavors - even flavors I “knew” I wouldn’t like - and I still liked them! It’s wild how good Kia’s cakes are!!! Top favorites of their general cupcakes: Vanilla Oreo, Carrot cake, and Red Velvet! The cupcake specials for the holidays are amazing - and for Black History Month they did punny cupcakes that also told a story of the person that they were honoring - so sweet and important. Other foods that are there like the Iced Pound Cake and the Banana Pudding are equally as amazing as the cupcakes. Recently tried the “Irish Potatoes” which were a special for St. Patrick’s day - they have coconut in them, and I don’t like coconut - but I ate so many of Kia’s Irish Potatoes!! All of this to say - try all the flavors and offerings - it is all so tasty!!!Vegetarian options: They also offer vegan and gluten-free options too!!Dietary restrictions: The team is super mindful of dietary restrictions and honors your requests!Kid-friendliness: Brought our baby in, and the team was so kind to him!“
“We stopped in close to closing for takeout and Joy at the counter was delightful and helpful. We ordered Massaman curry and Thai tea and both were made quickly. Now that we are home, we are discovering that their food is EXCELLENT. We look forward to going back and dining in.“
“Stopped by here for a quick breakfast during Wrestlemania 40 weekend. You order and pay up front and they'll bring the food out to your table. I ended up getting the falafel burger, which was good, but fell apart a lot. The table I sat at was quite dirty and found a small piece of hair.“
“We ordered pasta and bread from Farina Pasta and Noodle for dinner on one of our lazy nights in. I had the bucatini with fresh marinara, BFF had the pistachio pesto with pappardelle, and Spousal Unit had the meatballs and marinara. The pasta was fresh and pesto was freakin' delicious. The marinara was good too. Thank you!“
“The food here is incredible - always fresh, delicious and well made. The staff couldn’t be nicer, more attentive, or putting out great orders each time. My son favorite meal in all of the Reading Terminal is Fox & Son’s fresh lemonade, a crispy and hot classic corn dog, and a side of their perfectly done cheese curds…it’s a family favorite and we look forward to it every time we go to the RTM! They are also gluten free and it’s always amazing to have such a delicious option for my friends and family who come in to Philly to visit and are gluten intolerant.“
“This is a great OG vegan spot in Philly & love coming here. Tons of coffee selections and specials! They have a cold case with a large choice of vegan desserts! They have sitting in the back of the house--some seats and a large book shelf. We love that you can pre order before arriving & it’s ready when you get there. Their breakfast sandwiches are out of this world. This is a hip little vegan cafe. Worth a visit. They have a yummy list to choose from!“
“Simply awesome. Great flavors and reasonably priced. If we lived nearby, we would eat here often. You can find gluten-free places; you can find vegan places; rarely can you find a place that offers a wide variety of items that are both.Vegetarian options: Veggies on a salad or brown rice base.Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten-free.“
“I stopped in the market this past Sunday and I came across this bakery by chance. The display caught my eye and I decided take a look and ended up ordering whoopie pies, lemon bars and butter cake. All three were AMAZING! I will definitely be making this a new stop when I am in the city!!“
“hands down one of the best delis. Great sandwiches, Great Staff, Great beer, Great specialty items that you wont typically find at other stores. Place is simply Great.Update oct 2022, still one of the best markets around. If you live close by, stop in. Not only a great deli, but an awesome beer selection as well.“
“I’ve tried as many pizza places as I could get my hands on. Everyone has their preferences on the perfect slice, and this place meets 90% of mine. The other 10% is up to everyone else and their preferences.Let me start by saying if you like a thin crunchy crust, with a sweet, tangy sauce. That doesn’t overwhelm you with cheese and oil. Than this is absolutely the place for you.The actual slice comes very thin, so much so it’ll stand up on its own as you hold it.The perimeter is perfectly cooked to where it is slightly burnt, but just enough to give you a pleasant bold taste and give you a delicious compliment to that perfect crunch and sweet sauce. Not to mention the sweet tangy tomato flavored sauce covering the pizza in an almost chunky fashion that makes every bite taste as good as the last.I could see the cheese leaving more to desire for some, and it may seem kind of few and far between compared to some places that slather the pizza in cheese and oil. This place could be considered the opposite relishing quality of quantity. The price is a little expensive for some, though I’m willing to argue it’s a bargain. But I promise you not a dollar spent here will go wasted. This is absolutely a 9/10 pizza joint for me. I couldn’t speak for the other SLICE locations but this one is BAR NONE the best. And easily my top dog for pizza places in south Jersey. If you have the chance,PLEASE GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!!!!THE BEST OF THE BEST“
“Oh my goodness, the service was awesome. We were on out way to Washington DC and the server tried his utmost to get our food in the shortest time. We ordered Thai fried rice and Pad z Ew and it was the right spicy and absolute great taste. If you're in the area, don't miss out on delicious taste and superb “
“Great food and drinks. Beautiful place with great views of River and PHL Airport. Watch boats on waterway and planes landing while eating great food. The bar area is very nice and has great views too! They have Really good Happy hour specials.“
