“Got tired of inconsistency of places in N. Cape May and Villas so decided to give #1 a shot. This may come off as a weird review to some but basically the food was good. I ordered a couple of dishes house style with a variety of proteins. The house Lo Mein and house Egg Foo Yung were loaded with Shrimp but skimpy on beef, chicken and pork. The beef pepper steak was full of beef and onion but only 3-4 pieces of green pepper. Seems strange. Maybe they’re farming their own shrimp up on the roof or something, but it was a bit too much. Just my opinion but I’ll be back.“

“I loved this buffet!
Came here on vacation with my family, stayed for a week and went to Cheng’s twice in a row (two days in a row). They use wonderful spices such as star anise and whole ginger in their food which I have never seen another buffet do to this extent.
Staff is friendly, although there might be a language barrier I am not there to socialize, I am there to eat with my family so I didn’t care about the language barrier.
They are the FASTEST at replenishing drinks and taking finished plates away, with no judgement.
Whether you tip or not, there is no judgement at all. Which is fantastic, since nowadays you get faced with an iPad screen asking you for 300% everywhere else you go for no effort done on your behalf (exaggeration, obviously)
Additionally, there was a wonderful variety of food. It’s not Shady Maple by any means in terms of variety so don’t go expecting the world and beyond. But there is meat and there is chicken, there are desserts too including ice cream and even hot tea.
You might think every buffet has meat, that’s not true for Miller’s buffet that I visited in Lancaster PA. A thorough disappointment compared to this wonderful buffet.

I cannot say enough nice things about Cheng’s. I love them, I love the staff, I love the food, I love the atmosphere there. I don’t know why anyone else is complaining in the reviews, as they are BY FAR the cheapest food you’ll get in the area. You can feed 5 people unlimited food and drink for about $100 at Cheng’s, how can you complain about that?? I paid $20 on the boardwalk for pierogies and got handed a cardboard box smaller than the palm of my hand of 3 pierogies that I slurped down in 3 gulps and was starving and disappointed afterwards.

Anyway, I want to end this review by saying we arrived really late both days to the buffet. One day an hour and a half before closing and the following day an hour before closing and they were very kind to us and never rushed us not a single time. Even gave us whatever we wanted of the desserts while they were cleaning up so we wouldn’t go without. They refilled my wife’s Lo Mein 30 minutes before closing because she’s a fiend for Lo Mein and they didn’t make her feel bad about it at all.

Just goes to show how much we love Cheng’s and would absolutely recommend this to everyone and I hope they’re around for many years to come.
