“I first visited this deli back in the 1960s when I was in highschool. I was visiting Cherry Hill early this year and decided to pay Lou and Ann's a visit. One step inside and I was transported back in time. I recognized the aroma right away. My wife and I had their classic Italian hoagie. It was fantastic. We decided to take one of the entrees back to Richmond on our way out of town. The chicken Marsala not only survived the trip home, but it was delicious. We recently had a birthday celebration for my wife's mom, and we decided to pick up a few of the entrees to serve. We chose chicken and pork Parmesan, along with eggplant parm, chicken cacciatore and some marinara sauce. We complimented these with some real Italian pepperoni and a hunk of provolone. Everything was excellent and the portions enough for 2 people. Be sure to try the meatballs! There are a few tables where you can sit and drink in the atmosphere while enjoying an Italian hoagie or a cheesesteak. Don't forget to get a pickle too. You'll usually find Lou Jr at the counter or in the kitchen cooking up his mom's treasured Italian masterpieces.“

“Phil and his family are amazing. They are so nice and keep my tummy very happy. Way worth it to spend 2 3 extra bucks over wawa for a sandwich here. They care, it’s always fresh and delicious. My favorite hoagie shop to support. Hands down my favorite. Also love they are small business and very family involved and ran. Just beautiful all around and I can’t believe it took me 5 years of being a customer to leave a review.“

“I used Christopher’s Catering for a corporate event with about 150 people in attendance. Chris was very easy to work with, and there was zero hassle in the planning. The food was amazing and I had many compliments on the choice of caterer. Chicken parm was a big favorite. There was a catering staff member on site early to set up and he stayed throughout the event. He took care of everything. I would highly recommend and would be glad to hire them for an event in the future.“

“Had Chick's cater my son's first birthday, and couldn't have been more happy with the experience. Joe sat down with me, helped me determine how many portions we would need for the number of people in attendance, and we went through the menu and made the appropriate selections. (For 40 adults and ~15 kids, we ended up getting two cold sandwich trays and ~15 Hot Sandwiches cut down into portions). At the party, the sandwiches were the star of the show. I had a warming oven to keep the hot sandwiches warm, and even after a few hours, the bread did not lose its integrity. We had some leftovers, but not too many, and there was no shortage of folks eager to take some home. 5+ Stars to the Chick's crew for making this process seamless.“

“I had hoagies from a lot of places throughout Northeast Philly to South Philly and in between. Point is, this is the mecca of Italian Hoagies. Grateful they made their way up to my old neighborhood. The hoagie is stacked with enough meat that a half will probaly fill you up. Quality and quantity is hard to be beat.“

“I walked in after walking around creek road, I was greeted, saw people talking to each other, ordered my food and a coffee. Coffee is self serve which is a big plus for me. I tried the coffee and was surprised at how good it was for it being from a deli. I ordered a turkey Sandwich and it came out within 3 minutes of ordering, and tasted amazing. It was 11 dollars but it was better than some other places that charge more so I wasn't at all disappointed. Well worth it! Please go“

“The new Deli Fresh Deli in the Penndel Shopping Center is the creation of local hero Johnny G, who has operated many kitchen eateries in the vicinity. He took over and remade a former Subway, bringing full delicatessen sensibility and local color to a commercial zone that really needed a bright coat of paint. Johnny was on hand to take my order yesterday and introduced himself. I got the short story version of his colorful restaurant history, and I realized that I had eaten in his former place on Brownsville Road a few times and enjoyed it tremendously. My expectations rose accordingly. The large front window sign proclaimed the roast beef, turkey and pork were all roasted on site. Good enough suggestion to order a large Roast Beef Hoagie (w provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, hot pepper hash and sweets) on a handsome sesame seeded long torpedo roll. Wrapped tight in white, and our conversation concluded (after sampling the tortellini salad), I drove home to open it up on the kitchen table. First glance at the stuffed sub and my salivaries exploded. It was visually compelling. First bite confirmed that it all worked together perfectly to tantalize my tastebuds. It was a tremendous chomp and chew. Excellent crustiness, followed by folded layers of pink roast beef, provolone and all the rest. This was a mouth party to beat the band. Texture and flavor combined to have me close my eyes and savor the moment. I managed to eat about a third of it, and rolled up the remainder for later enjoyment and family sharing. Deli Fresh is the real deal for Italian style deli delights. They even have a pickle barrel for those who love cukes soured in brine. Its time is now.“

“It seems like a nice Italian Deli with what seems to be quality products. I went there for the first time to find those big martini olives. They have the right size olives but I bought the ones in the cold display case which still have the pits in them ?.There was a customer already there who was friendly and made it a welcoming experience. The employees were...well...working...so no warm greeting.Since the place was recommended by a few folks, I ordered a Tonno Tuna sandwhich. It contained VERY little tuna. For $10.95 I guess I was expecting at least half a can of tuna on it.I guess WaWa and Gaetano 's have my expectations too high ?. The hoagie roll was fresh and tasty so next time ( yup, next time) I'll grab the pre-made stuff.Overall not disappointed but now with a different mindset.“

“I am addicted to their bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. I stopped in one morning for one, now I find myself eating them for my routine breakfast everyday just about. When I think of community based Crown Deli takes the cake of being a place that has a special place in Morrell. Great food and most importantly great people who never disappoint when it comes to hospitality and service!“

“This place just happens to be next door to us, but I would happily drive for their food. Their breakfast sandwiches are THE BEST as long as you are hungry because they are BIG. Harry started making these deep fried balls lately too, and they are so good I get them at least two to three days a week.“

“Frey's Deli & Pizza sits in a small strip center on northbound Lincoln Highway (Rt.1) in Penndel, PA. It is an unassuming place with a few tables, a big front window, and prep area in the back for pizza and takeout. There isn't much in the way of provisions in the refrigerated display case, but what they do have is either made inhouse or Dietz & Watson. I asked about their tuna salad, and was advised it was prepared fresh that morning and a popular seller. Good enough for me, I went with a whole hoagie with lettuce, plus sweet/hot peppers. Opened it back at the office. It was heavy in the wrap paper, and substantial upon opening. Not only was the tuna as good as advertised, but the roll had a nice crust and texture that was a pleasure to bite through. Quality sandwich all the way. Tasty, and not the least bit fishy. Just enough mayo to hold everything together and blend perfectly with all the ingredients. One of the better deli sammies of recent memory. Prices were good, too. Only downside - there wasn't much to chose from in the drink department. Definitely would benefit from more selection for washdown. But, other than that, Frey's was a very pleasant surprise nosh.“

“We tried Nene's for the first time today and it was amazing!! I ordered a Caprese sandwich and it was packed full of tomato and Mozerella! The balsamic was also very thick and very yummy! This sandwich was one of the best I've had in a long time and it was priced much cheaper than other sub shops in the area. I can't wait to go back and try other sandwiches! The staff was also very nice and the food came out quickly.“

“This is a great place. New owner is super nice and engaged with the community. Food is fantastic and fast. Way fresher than Wawa. Highly recommend you give it a chance! Plus they have lots of little grocery items which Croydon needs because we don't have any actual grocery stores.“
“This is the best small corner store I have ever visited. The owner is very kind and friendly, and the food is amazing. It may take a while to prepare, but it is definitely worth the wait and the price. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars, because it deserves it. I highly recommend this place to everyone who just needs to enjoy a good meal.“
“Love everyone there honestly everyone but that girl who just sits talking on her phone and blows disgusting cigarette smoke out the door all the time. Major attitude and gives regular customers a hard time, again she does this all the time .“
