“Went here for brunch and was not disappointed. We ordered two dishes, the Ricotta Pancakes and the Chicken and Waffles. The Ricotta pancake, combines with the cinnamon and sugar butter, was probably the best pancake I have ever had. The Chicken and Waffles were served with honey Chipotle sauce, giving it a unique taste from similar dishes at other restaurants. You might want to make reservations here. We arrived at lunch and there was over an hour wait for a table, but we were able to get a seat at the bar.“

“French toast was good but the what was supposed to be scrambled eggs was a plain omelette which was overcooked nothing scrambled about it and the sausage links would have been better had they not been split and burned on the split side my fathers home fries were cold and under fried waitress was super nice“

“This past year I had to private events at Lamp Post, one brunch, one dinner. I can't begin to say how wonderful both was. The staff goes well above and beyond with everything and the food was great. You can't beat the price.“

“Can’t count how many times we’ve been here but here is my review of Silk City.

The food was excellent. Can’t go wrong in any order. Loved the ambiance. The drinks were good. It’s good to have a reservation as this place gets packed every time, but they could accommodate you to the diner section. Service at the diner section usually takes longer. Lots of parking around the area, but it’s better if you take Lyft or Uber. Staff were amazing and really friendly.

We will always go back to this place.“

“I had a serious craving for a fried fish sandwich. The cute little couple operating the diner were so sweet and hospitable. My sandwich was delicious! Sure wish they would accept cards, but I didn't mind going to get cash. The fish was fresh, fried to perfection, and it was just a nostalgic memorie of old school diners. Definitely will go back.“

“This place is always packed so i stopped in to check it out. Really glad i did, inside was jumping, waitresses walking quickly from the kitchen to the tables. People sitting at tables and boths eating and smiling. The food was good, not just okay, but really good. I could see why the patking lot was always full. Top notch service too, just a bunch of happy workers greeting customers that appeared to be friends or regulars. What a really nice place. I will definitely recommend to friends and family and be back myself.“

“I’ve been to Monarch a bunch of times and finally decided they’re TOO good to not leave a review. We brought my Grandpa today and it was a great experience. It’s impressive how quickly we were seated and how quickly the food comes out. They must be hustling in that kitchen and the wait staff has always been so pleasant & polite. “The Black horse diner outdid themselves in helping provide outstanding chicken pot pies to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday. the pot pies from the Black horse diner are one of his favorites and I wanted to serve them the party I had.... the team at the diner was so helpful and accommodating and the food was absolutely over the top outstanding. I have never seen so much chicken in a a pot pie dish. am I entire life!!! thank you to the entire staff of the Black horse diner you have a fan for life!!!“

“Huge fan, I’ve never had a bad sandwich at Johnny Hot’s, until today 8/30/24. I was supposed to have just pork roll on a steak roll with spicy mustard, no egg and no cheese. The pork roll is usually cut very thin with a nice braise on it. It had egg & cheese on it. The egg & cheese were warm the meat was cool, no grill color to it. By the time I took the egg & cheese off there was hardly any pork roll, very disappointed. It was “no change” Friday, so I gave my apprentice 15 dollars for a sandwich I couldn’t even eat.“

“Ate here for the first time the other morning. The fried fish was the best I have ever had- crispy on the outside and still juicy on the inside. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The attention to detail (from the server as well) did not go unnoticed. I can’t wait to come back again!“

“I visited this eatery long, long, long ago. It was good then and it is good now, overall. The server was a true professional. She was stretched really thin, but handled it like a trooper. She forgot a couple items but was well spoken and sincere. We and others could easily see how much she was challenged. A big crowd came in right away. Again, she handled the entire early afternoon well. I showed her my appreciation by giving her a reasonable gratuity...There was a delay in someone else not receiving his meal-a simple breakfast sandwich-within 30 minutes. He exclaimed his frustration accordingly. The Good working female server was clearly not being supported as well as she deserved, and I do not know exactly why...“

“Let me start by saying don't go in here expecting a traditional restaurant experience. This is an old school, fast paced, self-serve/take-out style diner that is CASH ONLY (has an ATM). That, however, is EXACTLY what I want for good breakfast on a busy weekday morning. And good doesn't begin to describe it. Staff are a well oiled machine used to a very busy fast-paced environment who are there to get your order, give you your food, and let you move on with your day.
Now the food. Let me say, it isn't hard to make good home fries, but these were AMAZING. Onions and peppers in perfectly made home fries with perfect consistency and a taste to die for. No need to season them as they were perfectly seasoned. In my almost 41 years of life, these are the best damned home fries I've ever had! My eggs were made perfectly over medium with wonderful runny yolk like I love them and were wonderfully flavorful. Sausage patties were delicious as well, partner got pancakes that were fluffy and sweet even before the butter and syrup. Excellent diner, fast service. For anyone that likes this kind of place, it is up there for best ever!“

“Amazing hospitality on Saturday for our daughters 40th birthday. We put together last minute arrangements and Phily Diner was able to accommodate a party of 20. The food was delicious and our server (Nicole) was professional and attentive, and we all felt like VIP's upstairs. We even got to watch the football games! It was good to be home. Our daughter was surprised and appreciative. Will stop in again soon.“

AND an extra $2.75 for French fries? instead of "potato chips?", seriously??? nah, I'll stick with the Pointe 40 Diner instead. coleslaw served in crappy plastic container? so small, I couldn't even see it, warm pickles? never again. Pointe 40 Diner blows this place away. Harrisson House, overpriced.“

Decent little diner. Passed it a ton of times amd decided to meet up with a friemd.to try it. Place looked clean and staff was friendly. Food was average, nothing to rave about. I got the Mexican Omelet, with a side of Bacon & Scapple. Only real downfall with my meal was the salsa that comes with the Omelet. It was all coagulated and didn't look good to be put on my omelet, so I just didn't use it. Everyone i was with, ate theirs and didn't seem to have any complaints. Waitress was a little off on a couple things but nothing major. When in the area and hungry, I may just stop in amd try something else from the menu. Worth the stop and try if in the area.“
