“A restaurant operated by an older couple. Extremely good service but very limited seating inside. Takeout is a good option. The hours are not exactly those written on happy cow (opens at 12:30 today for example). The food is really great and full of veggies for a reasonable price. Soup and sauces are offered on the house. The host also offers a clementine ( or a tangerine, not sure) for dessert. Great place to visit if in Newfoundland.”

“Best fish n' chips I've had in on the Avalon Peninsula, honestly. Fish was unbelievably fresh, thick chunks of beautiful flaky cod, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Lady behind the counter was a sweetheart too!”

“Cole Gillingham is the best fast food working I have ever encountered in my life. I may only be 15 years old, but I know a damn good worker when I see one. And I have never met someone who was so kind and happy to be serving us at 10:30pm on a Wednesday night. I look forward to paying him a visit every week. Thank you Cole for your amazing work! “Myself and hubby went for a drive and ended up here for early supper yesterday… I had the best seafood chowder ever!!!! And I order chowder everywhere lol… and 1/2 Greek salad was delicious! Husband had chicken clubhouse and fries and was completely satisfied!! (His a big eater.. lol) We both had Quidi Vidi beers and the choice was amazing, servers and service was wonderful! We will be back and would recommend to others!!”

“We had a fantastic meal tonight from the Indian Express! We had two combos (chicken korma + potato pea curry) (butter chicken + chicken pea curry) along with the Samosa Chaat. Easily best Indian food we have had! Highly recommend and we definitely will be back for more!”

“The cake I purchased for a family gathering was beautiful and tasted great. I’m not quite sure why it was described as “Oreo,” as no one could detect any Oreos in it. It was a tasty chocolate cake, however. I would suggest cutting back on the food colouring, unless it’s a special request. All the cakes in the case were brightly coloured. While our cake looked lovely, we all had stained mouths within a couple bites and wish that could have been avoided.”

“We stayed for 3 nights for our daughter's wedding. Our room was first class with w.c., large bath and large walk-in shower. It was quiet, facing the rear of the building. The front pedestrian way can be a bit noisy with revellers. Spotlessly clean, with aircon and fridge. The restaurant offered a varied evening menu, and the cuisine was superb. Likewise, a good choice for breakfast, and large portions. I had the 2 egg breakfast, and the eggs were cooked precisely to my instructions. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit, and I look forward to my third.”
