“Our server, Benjamin was new to his position but went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The bartenders were so great, taking care of an elderly gentleman who left his card at the bar. The bartender also made sure the lighting was corrected when someone made an error as it became dark outside. We will definitely come back to this location!“

“Totally agree that this is a hidden gem. I had the most delicious camarones a la diablo here that I've ever had and I often order this dish in Mexican restaurants. The shrimp were fresh and cooked to perfection. The sauce was spicy, but not too much. Four of us were at the table, and all were super pleased with our dishes. The waiter was fast and extremely helpful in making suggestions since this was our first time to the restaurant. We always eat outside and the patio was quiet and very pleasant. Also, we weren't rushed at all and had a leisurely dinner. The four stars for atmosphere just means that this was a clean, small, casual but not a fancy restaurant. Will definitely want to return on future trips to Albuquerque.“

“A hole in a wall that gives you authentic homemade Mexican food. We had a bowl of green chili, chimichangas, a large combination plate 1. Every was flavorful. The homemade salsa had a slight hint of spice that makes it delicious. Parking was limited in their lot but street parking is available. No alcohol on site. (We were craving margaritas) nonetheless we left very full and happy.“

“We come here frequently and it has been extremely consistent quality. The staff are super nice and welcoming and the place is clean. There are many different options for food and the prices are fair. It does take a little long to receive your food, that has been a consistent factor but it is worth it.“

“I decided to try a new local restaurant for breakfast today and had heard really good things about Mick's Chile Fix, and since I was looking for a good chile fix I decided to try it. This place is awesome. I ordered takeout but the diner was super quaint and comfortable, it looked like a fantastic place to have brunch and it smelled amazing! The little gift store they had on the side was super cute too. I ordered a regular sausage breakfast burrito smothered in red and the portions they gave me were absolutely massive. Definitely a 2-day breakfast. The red chile is really rich and flavorful, I'd say a medium heat with enough kick to make my nose run, and the meal was delicious. 12/10 would recommend to anyone looking to support a local Mom&Pop-style restaurant while getting Grade-A+ New Mexican food at the same time. Will have to try the rest of their menu.“

The manager even went out of his way to call the head chef at another location just to double-check everything for us. They gave us a list of safe options and took every precaution to avoid cross-contamination. It meant so much to see my daughter enjoy her lunch without worry. Truly grateful for how thoughtful and accommodating everyone was. Highly recommend if you’re navigating food allergies. They really care.“

“I love this place. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere pleasant and it is most usually full of customers. The waitresses stay busy and do not purposely ignore new customers, they are most likely bogged down with keeping customers happy with delivering orders, refills of coffee, tea or water and a panoply of other duties that they perform. They are not at fault. This restaurant has been in existence for 30 years, I knew it when Loyola, the founder opened it and I know that her daughter Sara is doing a fantastic job of continuing the service that Loyola started. I have zero complaints with this restaurant and certainly miss it when I am not in Albuquerque. Albuquerque is very lucky to have a restaurant of this quality.“

“First time trying this place and had the Ultimate Chilaquiles. Rib eye was cooked great and seasoned well. The beans were amazing and the coffee was great. Service from our waitress Rafaela was great. Had the Churros with ice cream for dessert and was amazing. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Oh I'm not a fan of the Chilaquiles as a whole but they where good.“

“Always greets you when you arrive even when he is with another customer or when there is a line! His corn in the cup are filled to the brim too! Prices are reasonable considering he built his business from the ground up and probably uses the money to buy all that corn and to provide for his family. People can eat at the location where there is a table and chairs, everytime there are people there it is always so lively!“

meat was so tender and the tortillas were delicious. The salsa had a kick. I will be back again.“
