“Chavez Gallery and Coffee Shop, located in the heart of Chimayo, NM, is a must-visit spot for both locals and travelers. Nestled near the historic Santuario de Chimayo, a beloved 1816 adobe church and pilgrimage site known for its healing dirt, this coffee shop is a true reflection of the town’s rich cultural heritage.

The gallery itself is filled with captivating art that highlights the creativity of local talent, creating a unique and inspiring atmosphere. Whether you're coming for the art or the coffee, you'll feel the warmth and soul of Chimayo in every detail.

Owned by a local couple, the coffee shop offers a personal touch to everything they serve. The coffee is fresh, rich, and brewed with care—whether you prefer a smooth latte or a bold espresso, you won’t be disappointed. The couple’s passion for both art and community shines through, making every visit feel special.

Chavez Gallery and Coffee Shop isn’t just a place to grab a cup of coffee; it's a serene spot to take in the beauty of Chimayo, relax, and enjoy the local flavor. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area, especially after a visit to the historic Santuario de Chimayo.“

“After finishing a late charter, McDonald’s was the only spot open nearby. Of course, our bus didn’t fit through the drive-thru and the lobby was already closed. We called the number, explained our situation, and the team kindly let us walk up to the window. I want to send a huge thank you to the gentleman who served us—he welcomed us with kindness instead of turning us away. Both of the employees we spoke with were amazing, and we truly appreciate their understanding and customer service. Here is a picture of my husband in his invisible vehicle!!“

“I absolutely loved the layout and decor of the Pojoaque location. It was beautiful and functional. Your staff was very pleasant and the coffee I ordered was made better than at any other location.

My husband and I first went to the Espanola location and immediately left because of crowds and lack of seating. After visiting the Pojoaque shop, it will be our first place to go anytime we want to sit, relax, and drink delicious coffee!“

“The Speedway store is open until 4 AM on weeknights, which is excellent news for me. Until now, the only option I’ve had when passing through Española after midnight was the Allsup’s across from the Santa Clara Hotel and Casino. I would rather wait the 45 minutes to get home to use the bathroom or grab something to drink than stop there. In my opinion, it’s the worst store in Española. I’m so happy to have an alternative!“
