“Driving back and forth to Santa Fe, this restaurant was the only one open. It was clean. The employees were very helpful. I needed protein quickly. The man at the counter was very helpful and patient. He even fist bumped me. As a woman traveling her own, I felt safe. Thank you.“

“The Starbucks on Cities of Gold Rd in Santa Fe offers a familiar experience with a few key conveniences like a drive-thru, which is a plus for those on the go. The drinks are up to the usual Starbucks standard, with popular choices like vanilla lattes and seasonal favorites, but service can be inconsistent. The drive-thru wait can sometimes stretch up to 30 minutes, which can be frustrating, especially during peak hours.
The baristas are generally friendly, but it seems that training levels vary, which can impact the speed and accuracy of orders. If you have the time, dining in is an option, although the dining room is fairly small and can feel cramped during busy periods.
For those paying in cash, it's worth noting that the payment process at the drive-thru window can take longer, so having a mobile app or card ready may speed things up. While it’s convenient for a quick coffee stop, this Starbucks location may not offer the smoothest experience for those in a rush. Overall, it delivers on the classic Starbucks offerings but could benefit from improvements in efficiency and consistency.
Vegetarian options: As with most Starbucks, vegetarian-friendly choices include a selection of pastries, sandwiches, and snacks. While options are somewhat limited, they include reliable staples like egg bites and bagels, which pair well with their coffee.
Dietary restrictions: Starbucks is accommodating to dietary restrictions, offering non-dairy milk options such as almond, soy, and oat milk for their drinks. The baristas are familiar with modifications, so specific requests for gluten-free or dairy-free choices are generally well managed.
Parking: The location has a parking area, but it can get crowded, particularly during peak morning hours. The drive-thru lane can add to the congestion, so arriving early or using the mobile order feature might be helpful for a quicker experience.
Kid-friendliness: This Starbucks location is suitable for families, with kid-friendly drinks like hot chocolate and a range of snacks that appeal to younger customers. The casual environment and easy access make it a good stop for families on the road.
Wheelchair accessibility: The Starbucks is wheelchair accessible, with designated parking spots and a ramp leading to the entrance. The staff is attentive to accessibility needs, and the setup allows for comfortable navigation both indoors and at the drive-thru window.“
“The cashier whom rang me up had some great energy. Polite & attentive, friendly with a great personality. I did notice a high number of smiles in the store. Didn't shop, just restroom & gas, but the bathroom was clean & stocked.“
“The Speedway store is open until 4 AM on weeknights, which is excellent news for me. Until now, the only option I’ve had when passing through Española after midnight was the Allsup’s across from the Santa Clara Hotel and Casino. I would rather wait the 45 minutes to get home to use the bathroom or grab something to drink than stop there. In my opinion, it’s the worst store in Española. I’m so happy to have an alternative!“
