“This restaurant has been in business a long time and for a good reason! The owner and staff really know how to run their business. All the food I've tried is very good. The owner was friendly and walking around greeting our table and everyone else's. Visit this iconic stop on Historic Route 66 the next time you are in Gallup NM.Parking: I've never had a problem finding a parking spot.“
“The other reviews don't lie! Had the Combination plate and the green chili is out of this world! Legit spicy and delicious. Crispy beef taco, cheese and onion enchilada and beef tamale were incredible. Definitely adding to the road trip restaurant list for a return visit!“
“We ordered the chicken tacos and it was great. The stuffed sopapillas were amazing. The owner even came out to us and asked if the food was good. The service was also really fast. The bill came and it was less than expected. Portions were very generous. Overall this restaurant is the best. We will be back!Parking: Huge LotKid-friendliness: Great kids menu with lots of options“
“For those seeking the Route 66 experience along with an authentic New Mexico breakfast, you can’t do any better than this charming restaurant. Run by a hardworking family, the food was generous and well prepared. This will be a regular stop for us. These sort of places are being crowded out by the chain restaurants, so catch this place while you still can.“
“Always love coming here. A childhood place for my family & I whenever we came to town. My sisters & I always get their chili cheese fries to go whenever we’re in town. Beats other Mexican restaurants in town. ?Kid-friendliness: Kid menu & drinks. High chairs & boosters available.Wheelchair accessibility: One entrance has a ramp for wheelchair access & handicapped parking available.“
“Great food! Alvin was super attentive and professional. Had the small combo with two tamales and a taco. Was delicious! Don't go anywhere else if you like us just passing through. Thanks so much! We will be back if ever through Gallup again“
“This was such a fun place to go to and the breakfast is amazing! Our server was so nice and accommodated our big family, Thank You Jeremy! we each ordered something different from the menu and tried each others plates. Everything was delicious mmmm...highly recommend. I wanna get the Birria Tacos next time...Kid-friendliness: My toddler joined us and they were very kind and patient with him.“
“Stopped in one eveing while passing thru Gallup. Noticed a hand written sign on the door, closing early and we were like 10 mins to when they closed. But they welcomed us in and served us without rushing us out. We actually had one of the best servers Ive encountered in Gallup! I believe her name was Cecelia. She was on top of her game and really knew how to treat the guests. We enjoyed our dinner, service and the hospitality they showed. The food was on point. Hot, Tasty and generous portions.Keep up the great job...we will definately be back.“
“A true "New Mexican" Food delight. We definitely went off of I-40 to come to Gallup to eat at this place. Those that want "Tex-Mex" are not going to understand the differences, so ignore those reviews. The Stuffed Sopapilla and Chili Relleno were excellent family recipes, the green chili on top had just the right kick to it and the Sopapillas were exquisite with just the right crunch and thickness (not too thick) one longs for.“
“What a treat to dine at the historic El Rancho Hotel. The movie history and atmosphere were great. The food was delicious and reasonably priced with friendly service. Will definitely come back.Dietary restrictions: The staff were accommodating to my food allergy.“
“I love coming here to eat their famous chili cheese fries. ? I haven't ordered anything else but you can not get good green chili cheese fries from anywhere else. It's better than the chili factory. I don't know if they cook it with a whole lot of love but I can feel it haha I would recommend eating here. If their fries are great, I'm pretty sure everything they have on menu is good. Thank you and I'll be coming around soon again. ?“
“This was the best Taco Bell I’ve ever been to. We stopped here for dinner while on a road trip and the store was clean, atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly. The sauce packets were nicely laid out and fully stocked. They got my order correct and the food tasted exceptionally good. The Baja blast was the best Baja blast I’ve ever had, the chalupa bread was fresh and delicious, and they put the perfect amount of creamy jalapeño sauce on my quesadilla. My group of 6 people were in and out within 8 minutes. I highly recommend to anyone driving through!“
“What a gem! I was looking for a breakfast spot, and we stopped at a coffee house first. Afterwards we walked to this place, and we were so glad we did! Food was AMAZING and the atmosphere was super hometown feel with genuine friendliness. Small place with just a few tables, but pretty sure we were the only non locals there. Love finding and supporting small local businesses like this ? I ate the breakfast burrito, but without it in the tortilla to make it gluten free. So yum.Dietary restrictions: Most things will need to be altered from the menu, such as requesting it without a flour tortilla, to make it gluten free. But its possible and delish!“
“Hey There! They were kind enough to serve us 30 minutes before closing, which is appreciated ??? tacos, tostadas burritos ? and enchiladas are greeeat!Even though I suck big time at hot and spicy foods, their salsa, red and green chile is delicious!Excelente service; a good menu with lots of options...Definitely! We will be back for breakfast!Thank You!“
“This place was a good choice to come and watch the NFL game and have good food and beer, the bartender / server was excellent and very attentive wish I would have gotten his name, but he was very young that I thought he was the busses, but not he did his job well kudos to him and he is why I will return...?“
“Was a fun place but super crowded. If you are planning on dining in plan on waiting in line out the door. However, it is aways a great experience every time. Love looking at Native Artists that stop by to show their work to sell.Kid-friendliness: I always say children eating at this location.Wheelchair accessibility: Like the ability that Someone on wheelchair always has a place to set.“
“Clean. Someone was at the counter right away and they didn't have an attitude. That was a nice change from the Taco bells in Santa Fe. And not only that, the tacos were a lot more full with stuff than the ones in Santa Fe so I can see. Although I'm not a big fan of Gallup in general, their Taco Bell seemed a lot cooler.“
“Glad I looked at the other reviews or might not have known about Sandra’s. This place is awesome! Super friendly staff, reasonable prices, and yummy food! Local customers were very friendly too. We’ll be back! (Wish they had brewed decaf, but the instant wasn’t bad for what it was.)Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian options. If vegetarian, I would check to be sure that vegetarian items are not cooked next to meat items or in non vegetarian fat.Parking: Easy parking in the lot in front of the restaurant.“
