“The first sushi experience that we had in Santa Fe that could be termed outstanding: the food was as fresh as the sushi sold at most outstanding restaurants on the coast. The dinner was outstanding, well prepared and very, very fresh. We were very pleasantly surprised and will be back very soon. We had: Su ceviche, shrimp and soft shell crab tempura, the trio of Chu Toro and king salmon belly, spicy tuna hand rolls, unagi, uni, tuna and salmon sushi. All were delicious. The chef also went above and beyond to create something we asked that was not on the menu. Very impressed. We highly recommend this place for an authentic sushi experience.“

“Although I usually avoid sushi unless it's within 50 miles or so of the coast I gave Joy's a shot since everyone gave it high marks. This was my first time there but I'll definitely return. It was mid-afternoon so I had the quiet dining room to myself. The yellowtail was fresh, tasty, and generously portioned, especially for $7. That and a bowl of miso soup filled me up nicely. I had to take my other roll home, along with another spicy yellowtail roll for the road.“
