“We received a recommendation to eat here. So glad we did. The food was excellent. Really, really good. Good thing we don’t live here I’d be eating here all the time! I ordered vegetable tempura and the vegetable chicken. Delicious. And Mike, the general manager. What a personable guy. So nice to us.Do yourself a favor and eat here.“
“Me and the family went here for dinner on a Saturday. It wasn’t too busy but we made a reservation because there were 5 of us.The location is on the smaller side, but it’s nice inside. The food was really good! We got the popcorn shrimp roll, the teriyaki chicken bowl, the crab salad, some Yaki soba pan fried noodles and a few other sushi rolls. The price and portions were decent. The only reason I am giving the service 4 stars is because they move so slow. They were very nice and made sure we had what we needed, but again- very slow.I will probably go here again to try more things on the menu.“
“Very great place! It’s little hole in the wall that we found by a post online and we’re super happy to have tried it! The inside is super charming with posters and photos about everywhere that they possibly could be placed. You order by checking off which rolls you would like on a given menu, so this is great for all you introverts. The rolls were so good and STUFFED with the fillings! Definitely gonna come back. I wish I took pictures of the rolls, but we were starving and they looked delicious!! Almost forgot too, 50% off the sushi rolls!!“
“This was seriously some of the best sushi I've had since coming back! I wish it weren't in a food court, but the price was reasonable, especially for the quality. They were happy to accommodate an allergy too. It's fresh and delicious!“
“Excellent sushi. Some of the best sushi I've had in Albuquerque. Highly recommend Sushibucks. Also has a few parking spaces next to the restaurant. It's pretty easy parking in the evenings. (Parking would be difficult during the day when UNM is in session, I suspect.).“
“I've been going to Sakura Sushi for years. I love everything about my experience. I love the variety of food, and the quality of sushi is fantastic.Dietary restrictions: They also offer gluten free options, and can provide gluten free soy sauce. Their tempura is made with rice flour, though it is cooked in a fryer that also handles gluten.“
“I had a fantastic experience at Sakura Sushi! The restaurant is impeccably clean, which immediately set a positive tone for my visit. The service was remarkably quick, ensuring that I didn't have to wait long for my meal. What truly stood out, though, was the consistently high quality of the food. Each dish I tried was delicious and expertly prepared, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend Sakura Sushi to anyone looking for excellent sushi and impeccable service.“
“Wonderful place really good food. I'm not a sushi fan, I went with my family, they love sushi and they were impressed. I had the Hawaiian rice (yes with pineapple) and it was delicious. We had the mussels for an appetizer and they were some of the best mussels I have ever had truly delicious. Our server was a great guy really enjoyed, but I forgot his name, Sorry. But, yeah great place great food, a wonderful night.Oh yeah, try the unfiltered saki, very good.“
“Best Japanese food I have had almost anywhere. I highly recommend this restaurant. Basically, I can’t say enough good things. Everything that I’ve had on the menu has been outstanding, and the staff treats us well. It’s clean and welcoming.“
“Everything we had here was very good. Stop by and check them out, they have good sushi ? and I really enjoyed my orange chicken, the fry they had on it was perfect ?????Parking: I had a trailer with me and still found parking.Kid-friendliness: Yes they are kid friendly, also have high chairs if needed.“
“Fabulous place to eat! The spicy ramen was so flavorful, only thing to make it better would be marinated eggs, would still order again. The avocado bomb was so good that I might go back and just eat that! The crepe cake desert was good and different, would probably go for mochi next time. Can't wait to check out the west side location!“
“I’m no expert in sushi so I’ll leave the food reviews to others. But the service and care here is excellent. From the moment you sit down you’re served a delicious miso soup. The two women who were serving tables were so quick and attentive. And the food was beautifully presented. Thanks for a lovely evening.“
“We tried out this location after driving by so many times. Boy am I sad I didn't come by sooner. Everything was delicious and promptly made. It also came with miso soup. My son loved the Takis roll, the ABQ roll was giant and my favorite. We'll certainly be back for more. Thank you so much!“
“I ordered the shrimp fried rice and the wontons.Shrimp fried rice was pretty good. Wontons tasted fresh and everything had a good flavor.Waitress was nice, i believe there was only one waitress. It was empty with only one other person eating . They did not have sushi, which was obviously displayed so no issues.I was pleasantly surprised because ive heard that the past restaurants at this location were really bad I would definitely go again. Most dishes were under 15 dollars which was nice.“
“Large portions of delicious food! The wait was longer than a takeout but we'll worth it. My wife and I shared a sushi roll and had to take most of the food home as leftovers because there was so much! The people are friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended.“
“Huge portions at a very affordable price. The Spicy Tuna hand roll was bigger than my hand! The Nigiri and Cali Roll were also much larger than the normal sushi I typically get a sushi places. The staff was also super friendly. I highly recommend, go check them out!“
“Inside, it looks campy. Like Gilligan's Island meets tiki bar. In the most joyous way. The food is always on point. The menu is extensive and affordable. Portions are large. The wait staff are friendly and accommodating. I literally have nothing but praise. I've dined here twice with a party of 20+ friends and not one person had a less than wonderful time (which is why we go back). I had baked mussels and my entree was crispy Tofu and noodles. Yum!!“
“First time in a long time, I finally got my "extra" unagi (eel) roll! Ichiban has a superb unagi roll! It's difficult for me find a good sushi restaurant that actually gives you enough freshwater eel. But this sushi-ya is super generous with my fave dish! I am definitely coming back for that super eel roll! My mom got the yakisoba and that was actually pretty good too! The noodles were a bit too soft/overcooked but the entire dish was deliciously seasoned, with veggies perfectly al dented! 10/10 will return!!“
“We've been searching for our go to Japanese place in Albuquerque for years now. For a while we thought it was Samurai, but their quality decreased. I am so glad, because it led to us trying Nagomi. Some of the best sushi and Japanese curry we've ever had. Looking forward to many, many more visits. I also love their little snacks/tea shop.“
“My sister and I stopped in 20 min. Before close, we had went to three other restaurants and doors were locked due to short staff, as we walked in to jinja we were seated at the bar and the bartender Moriah let us order are meal! She was very sweet and welcoming which was nice! Thank you so much for your service, what a doll :)Vegetarian options: Plenty to chose from“
“This place is great!! The sushi was fresh and good portion. A lot of times you get sushi and it's super expensive and tiny! NOT the case with Tokyo Bangkok!! The atmosphere was great and the service matched!! Would highly recommend and visit again!“
“This restaurant has really heightened the quality, it reminds me of the episode of The Bear where the staff make sure every customer in their restaurant is satisfied just by using their observations and intuition. Food was fantastic, love the environment. I came during a rainy day and the miso just hit different. The only thing I would change about this place is the carpeting. Seriously though, this restaurant is awesome! Bravo ?“
“Great sushi, service and variety of sushi options...they were out of halibut which was disappointing... but there were other options. Fatty Tuna was cut too thick... but great quality. This was the second time we have been here! Service was great for how busy they were on New years Eve.“
“Easily the best sushi in Albuquerque. Excellent quality ingredients, no frills, no ridiculous cream cheese rolls all over the menu, just solid builds and a wonderful staffDietary restrictions: Veg options availableWheelchair accessibility: It’s sawmill“
“I absolutely love it here! I’ve been about 3 or 4 times now, and the woman who is usually in the front taking orders is extremely kind! The sashimi platters are fresh and always a must. The bento box with eel is absolutely amazing, had it once and will always order it. I remember once I didn’t know which tuna I wanted on the two piece sashimi dish and the woman gave me an extra piece of the one I hadn’t ordered, just for future reference! On top of this kindness, towards the end of the meal she usually comes around with an orange carved into a little bear and it is the cutest thing, also very refreshing for the end of your meal. I can go on but i believe I’ve highlighted everything good about my experience and hope you can find the charm in this place just as I did.“
