“I over heard someone talking about Chilabox, so I decided to try it out. When I went it was my first time trying chilaquiles and I was not disappointed. Since my first visit, I have been back almost every day. The staff now call me by name and know my order. I highly recommend and the food is really great. I have only tried the chicken chilaquiles only but a friend suggested that I try it with egg. Now I have another reason to go back!“

“The food was delicious. I'm usually not a fan of red enchiladas, but theses were the best enchiladas I've ever had. The spices were just right and the beans and rice were very good. The chips were homemade along with the salsa. The taste was like real home-cooked and not the usual big company processed taste. Martha was very nice and extremely friendly. If you are looking for good homemade Mexican food, I would definitely check this place out.“

“Been coming here for years the food is excellent better than L&J ‘s and Carlos and Mickey’s. It’s a simple place not much to it but the service is top notch! And at the end of your meal they ask you if you want sopaipillas and it’s included with your meal. A must place to eat great Mexican food!“

“Pleasantly surprised, I thought I was walking into hole in the wall restaurant, instead, I found a beautiful upscale Mexican cuisine restaurant with a beautiful table setting. No store brought chips and salsa was the first clue. Beautiful water glass with classy water refill carafe and cloth napkins (at lunch time). Service was great and menu was appetizing. I deserved this and will treat myself again soon!“

“I have been there twice and you can tell they care about their customers. The service is top notch, the food is amazing. The place is clean and very welcoming. My only issue with the place is the parking but it really isn't too big of a deal. I highly recommend this hidden treasure.“

“I tried this place, my first visit I got menudo. It wasn't great, but not bad either. A normal menudo. The thing is that I got the large, but it's more a medium. And a small spoon, but after requesting another they gave me a normal size.
My second visit I got the test of the menu to check it out, The pata (cook pork foot) is served in a soup, similar to menudo but just the soup. The portion is small, like a. quarter of one of them and no bread or tortilla was offered with it. Good flavor, for the price a half would be better.
I tried the tamales, red (beef meat) and the rajas con queso (grenn chile strips and cheese). These are good, not dry, and good flavor, but the portion also is small, again, they should be double the size.
And for last I tried the barbacoa burrito, I like the kind of meat they have, nice flavor and good value. Only down no hot sauce, maybe for you is good because the red sauce that they have is tasty, but not hot enough, mild.
They sell the soda by can or bottle.
All the utensils are disposable, depending on your point of view, good or bad.
The parking is restricted, as is almost a horse business, so you have the street outside. The seating is about six tables, comfortable.
The business legend is confusing, as they don't have the name outside but a different thing saying wrap&roll, and a sign for another business on the back.
I didn't see a ramp for access, but maybe there's one.
Quick serving and they accept credit cards“
“Compre de deshebrada y de papa. Estan muy ricas!“
“Honestly I didn't even know if you can get food there, I just got some drinks and a lot of fun after a hard week in colege. I can certainly affirm that I would go back to this place. At some point the DJ messed up with the music, but he fixed quick letting all of us vibe around the night.
Generally speaking, a good place to go with friends and more if you are a student.“

“Everyone who knows it loves it. First visit was back in 2020. Now I live hear and we come hear every couple of months.
Way back when, I learned their old secrets of the perfect tortilla. Since then, it actually got better.
Got an appetite for food destruction, try the super burro size California burrito.
Want breakfast whenever? Perfect pancakes and machaca too.“

“I’ve visited this Mexican restaurant several times, and each visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The food is incredibly authentic, with rich flavors that truly stand out. Every dish I’ve tried tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming.
The service is consistently friendly and welcoming. The staff makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive, and the food always comes out quickly, which is perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or sitting down for a relaxed dinner.
On top of the great quality, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and how delicious everything is. It’s a rare combination to find a place that offers authenticity, value, and genuinely great service all at once.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for flavorful, traditional Mexican food in a warm and inviting atmosphere.“

“I came today because they claim to be the best in El Paso, I was very disappointed, it was barely eatable, far from being the best and the coffee was the worst ever. I guess at one time it was good ,but not today.“

“Awesome little spot. Very authentic, delicious Mexican food. The quesabirrias are on point. The steak is huge and inexpensive. Also had the mariscos cocktail with shrimp and octopus and it was delicious. Even the small size one is big. The agua frescas are really good, especially the tamarindo. The gentleman working was polite and spoke english and spanish. Kid friendly, and they take credit card.“

“Kind staff and homemade flavorful meals. Red rice is yummy yummy. Caldo de res tastes authentic. It tastes like the cook is one of my old aunts. Very convenient that they have a parking spot, you can just get out in one of the exits from 1-10 and then keep going, skipping downtown traffic, but with a downtown sort of experience, cause it is 2 blocks away from San Jacinto Plaza
If you are a traveler passing by El Paso, this is a good spot to stop and go.“
