“Great spot for craft beer lovers! They have an incredibly wide selection of taps, and the beer flight boards are such a fun way to sample different brews. The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back with comfortable seating.
Small suggestion would be to add a few light snacks or appetizers with the beers — it would make the experience even better. Will definitely come back to try more beers!“

“We had an outstanding dining experience at The Press Gang that was enhanced by our server, Lindsey. We started with oysters and yellow-fin tuna. Both dishes were scrumptious. Our mains were the Tuscan Atlantic Salmon and Seafood Risotto. Both were excellent and Lindsay suggested the perfect wine pairing. This was by far one of the best dining experiences we have had!“

After reading the menu and reviews, we wanted to give the Wooden Monkey a try. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lovely, comfortable and unique. The service was friendly and professional. The food was delicious and top quality. The intention and ethics of the restaurant are inspiring. Our server, Bridgid, was patient and enthusiastic, making my young kids feel welcome. My spouse enjoyed his meal and felt good afterwards. This is our new favorite restaurant (even though we live 1,000 miles away!).“

“REALLY INCREDIBLE BAR AND GREAT STAFF. The food always looks amazing and they have some gluten free options that are worth going for. As someone with celiac, it would be good knowing that what is listed on their menu as gf is or is not placed in their fryers, as there is no dedicated cooking appliances at present. I'd love so much to have any of Stillwell's staples beyond just getting popcorn or a smash patty on a gf bun (both incredible, best burg in the city). It's my dying dream to try more. If it's not possible to facilitate extra space or appliances in their small kitchen, it makes sense and is acceptable, just maybe consider having some additional text on the menus so as to be a bit more clear to folks with this dietary need.“

“Visit pretty regularly both alone and with family and the pizza, beer, and staff are always fantastic. The biggest downside is how noisy it can get when it's even a bit busy, you can barely hear the person next to you. Some sound-proofing in the space would go a really, really long way! Was honestly surprised it didn't happen during the renovation from 2 Crows to Yeah Yeah's.“

Unfortunately, during the music break, I became ill very suddenly (non alcohol related), and got sick as I tried to reach the washroom. I was so embarassed and upset, but a lovely customer and the owner were incredible. Emma and Karen made sure I was well taken care of, cleaning me up, calming me down, rubbing my back, getting me water and wet/dry cloths. I can't thank you both enough! Today my husband is celebrating one year cancer free, and she treated us like family providing exquisite and delicious meals, she also sent us home with a some cherry cheese cake on the house. And to Anton ( hope I spelt his name correctly as well) for coming over to say hello and remember us from our last visit. To say that we are beyond happy would be an understatement. The service, the food and the welcoming staff truly separates this restaurant from all the others. Thanks again for making my husbands day, you really made him feel special and loved. “This is our local taproom. I just love this place. Great bunch of people...staff and patrons. A great place to relax and enjoy some good conversation. The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“

“Popped into levelbar after an afternoon of socializing.
The food - for pub food, was definitely on the higher quality side. Everything has good flavour and was well balanced in terms of salt. I had the chicken wings and an order of fries. Lots of food even though they are both side plates.
Service was fast and friendly.
The atmosphere was chill, it’s nice when places do a good job of acoustics and set the place up so sound is absorbed and you can hear the people you are hanging out with.

“I was meeting my cousin for the first time in many years and he selected this British Pub. Food was excellent, with one of the best chowders I have had for a long time. All the typical pub fare you would expect including a range of pies, curry and a very good special - Lamb Shank. Good beer menu and a decent bar/games room downstairs.“
