It's not bad, but it's not exactly a culinary masterpiece – more like a casual “meh”.Sweet potato features in nearly every roll, even the spacy salmon. If that's your preference, this place might still tickle your taste buds.
First of all, the service is amazing. Second, the sushi is some of the best in Halifax. Third, the atmosphere is unique and cozy. The tempura is really something else. Okay, as a regular sushi eater, I was very happy with my experience at Sushi Maru. Their main selling point unquestionably is the quality of the ingredients used, which is top notch. The selection is good, they are generous with moat of their offerings and the service is excellent. The seating arrangement is a little tight though. Overall, a 5 star experience, highly recommended.
