“We stopped in last weekend on our way through Chester Basin and were glad we did, the harbor view from the window seats made it hard to leave. My husband got the seafood chowder and couldn't stop talking about it, while I had a lemon poppyseed muffin that was still warm. The woman behind the counter chatted with us about the area like we were old friends and even pointed us toward a nice lookout down the road. Parking right out front made it easy too, we'll definitely stop by again next time we're out this way.”

The tavern is located at a cut little intersection near the water.

The pub has a nice fishing atmosphere.

The chowder is very good.
I had the seafood risotto, which was excellent. Lots of shrimp, scallops and lobster. Very well cooked.

They have a bunch of NS beers on tap too.

Definitely worth stopping in.”

“For a 100 year old plus restaurant it was pretty good. My group enjoyed the beet salad and a bean burger.
My burger was definitely from a frozen patty. The chips were excellent.
The service was good. Gracie was very personable and nice. A tad bit slow on drink refills, but nothing too bad.”

“I am an infrequent on-site customer but a monthly subscriber of their very decent products. I love that I am shopping locally and my loyalty is rewarded with being treated royally. I have been with them for a few years now and the staff/management are the very best. I just wish I lived closer.”

“We decided to visit the island on a whim today with our kids and didn’t bring enough food, so we started feeling a bit anxious on the ferry. Luckily, as we walked up the hill, the little shop happened to be just opening—perfect timing!

We ordered burgers, fries, and homemade ice tea—and wow, everything was way better than we expected! It wasn’t just because we were hungry; you could really taste the care and heart that Patrick put into preparing the food.

We also got some ice cream, and Patrick even gave a small souvenir to each of our kids. It was such a kind gesture, and the whole experience turned into a beautiful family memory.

Honestly, we might come back to the island just for Patrick’s handmade tea or those amazing burgers. Highly recommend!”

“Good day, sitting outside enjoying coffee and a cinnamon bun in this beautiful town, had my phone in my back pocket and set it beside me and left it there on the rock, got back to car and where's my phone, head back retracing my idiot steps and young man comes out as I walk up crossing the street, looking for your phone sure am, it's next door, wow what a reliefs sake, go to the store closed but a staff member still inside and boom she has my phone-touchdown, thank you to everyone for returning my phone through at least 3 persons of honorable vibes , Thank You All for the honesty and honour in which you performed ✌❤👍”
