“Very nice place to sit, and have a drink. As a non-beer drinker, I was thrilled to see they had Mead on tap - with the opportunity to taste before committing to a glass. This is my first time in NS to see Mead on tap. We also enjoyed the bonus of games at every table to play while enjoying beverages.

Would 100% recommend, and would visit again when in the area. Thanks for a great experience!”

“I haven't had a pizza from Big Red's for sometime now. But i guarantee when I do. it will be very good. I live in Dartmouth. There was a pizza place called Mama Mia's pizza in woodside. Tassel owned it. it was the best pizza ever. Plus all the food was great. A pizza from Big Red's come very close to Tassel's pizza. Tassel closed the business and Big Red's is to far to get a pizza on a regular basis. There is no comparison to a pizza from Big Red's. The best.”

Atmosphere was very relaxed, our meals were incredible (especially considering our party of 4 included one celiac and one vegetarian) cocktails were yummy - overall simply a truly enjoyable evening. “Was just into this subway this morning and the person working was AMAZING! They were so friendly and so helpful when deciding what sandwiches etc we wanted. They were so polite and had the best smile the whole time we were there ordering. Subway is subway is subway. The food is the same no matter which one you go to, it’s just the freshness, cleanliness and employees attitudes that differ. I will 100% be back to this subway SOLELY because of this employee! That said, the store was also super clean and the meat, veggies etc were all fresh and looked super good. Very much enjoyed the whole experience. They made my Wednesday morning that much better…and filled my tummy!”

“We went to the new Stretch Diner tonight for supper. Here's the scoop. The milkshakes are delicious, we had the chocolate and coffee ones, so good. We had the clubhouse with fries, excellent. The gravy on the side for the fries is a must. Chicken fingers and fries, my son cleaned the basket and he is a picky eater and loved it. I had the fish and chips....best fish and chips I have had in NS. Order extra tarter sauce, I could have drank it. It is homemade and is the perfect combined flavours. The fish batter is crispy, light and not greasy, not a bit of grease on my fingers. We brought home poutine for our other son and it was gone in minutes. The staff were friendly, attentive and made sure everyone was looked after. We will definitely be back, can't wait for the full menu to come out and for breakfast to start! The new owner is very nice too. Well done Todd!”

“Had clams and chip, My mom had fish and chips and my husband had Seafood Chowder.
My husband recieved his chowder first. We however had to wait almost 15 more minutes for ours. This has happened twice to us. All your food should be serve to your table all at once. My husband was done his before we even got ours. And I always thought seafood chowder consists of some fish,clams, scallops and lobster. But when my husband received his it had lots of fish a few clams and potatoes.
As for mom and the fish and clams were good but the fries weren't done enough.. our waitress however was very pleasant.”

“I love this place and go here all the time! It’s always amazing food and most of the time there is great service. Went in today and this girl named Sheri was very rude to me and my friends. She was full of complaints and sighs whenever we took our orders. We got to go and she kept giving us looks whenever she passed us, and she kept giving us snarky remarks.

On the other hand, Christina was AMAZING! Helped us take our orders, was very pleasant and extremely polite. I love this place but Sheri’s service was so bad I don’t know if I would give them my business anytime soon, and I’ll be leaving if I see Sheri there again.”
