“Went with friends who aren't from Nova Scotia that were staying nearby. My friend's main ask was for a whole Lobster while visiting and this was one of the few restaurants that had it on the menu.

I ordered Mussels and the ones served were delicious, but there were a lot of broken shells and a couple which didnt open. The prep quality seems to be lacking, due to the broken shells. A dish like this should rightfully be served with a bit of garlic toast to help soak up some of the amazing broth.

I also ordered a cup of shellfish chowder, as it is rare to find a seafood chowder that does not have salmon which I prefer. I'm sorry to say that unfortunately I can't comment on the item as it was never served. Even after specifically asking if I wanted it with my apps or main. I never mentioned the missing item to the server, nor did she notice the missing item or mention it either.

The lobster was great, one of the claws wasn't fully cracked through, but nothing I couldnt handle. The only downside for serving whole lobsters is that I am not a fan of tomali. I asked for a cup of water so I could rinse off the end of the tail section. You should include a small dish of warm water for customers to do this.

The sweet potato fries were nice, but I was not a fan of the curried dip that was served with them, I much more prefer a garlic or chipotle aioli with SP fries, as it goes much better with thr flavour.

For dessert I had the apple and blueberry crumble, the crumble was overly soft and I was expecting a bit more of a crunch in contrast to the dish. Little did I realize I would get that crunch aspect from the apples which werent fully cooked through and slightly on the sour side. Overall it was good, but could have been slightly sweeter and a bit more cooked through.

The atmosphere overall was nice, the old exposed dark beams throughout with the nautical decor gave it a feel of stepping into an ancient sailing schooner, which is a great atmosphere for this type of restaurant.

Our server was super friendly and personable even though one item was forgotten. As we dined the restaurant got busier and it unfortunately did take a bit of time to get the checks.

One final piece for thought, i cannot stand when wine is not served in an appropriate style glass for the type of wine ordered. This is purely personal. Thick rimmed and thick stemmed wine glasses are so 1990's. I would auggest upgrading the glassware to a more thin style wine glass and have proper red vs white wine glasses.

They were so polite and had the best smile the whole time we were there ordering. Subway is subway is subway. The food is the same no matter which one you go to, it’s just the freshness, cleanliness and employees attitudes that differ. I will 100% be back to this subway SOLELY because of this employee! That said, the store was also super clean and the meat, veggies etc were all fresh and looked super good. Very much enjoyed the whole experience. They made my Wednesday morning that much better…and filled my tummy!”

“The food was really good, the waitress very accommodating (my friend & I even told her how good of a waitress she was and we appreciated her great service), the decor and 60's music exceptional, the only issues I had was that the coffee was way too strong and bitter and the 35 mins wait for two meals a bit too long since we were the only table waiting for our meal of one piece fish & chips each.”
