“We had to try Salty's after hearing about it from friends. We ate in the restaurant upstairs and we were given a great table with a beautiful view of the water. Overall the food was okay but the atmosphere and service were great. Rob was very kind, bringing us 7 oysters instead of 6 because they were a little smaller. When he came back he asked who got to eat the extra one, and when we told him I ate it, he brought an extra one out for my partner ?. Really nice touch and helped make our night more enjoyable!Recommend the seafood platter but wouldn't recommend the lobster linguine personally.“

“Just had a late breakfast here. I have never eaten at this restaurant yet and we decided to try it. So far if you want the home cooked food type, it's better than Coras and Pur & Simple. This is the first restaurant I have eaten in where the breakfast sausages are not really salty tasting. The bacon was good too. The prices are good for what you get. The 3 egg breakfast combo with all three meats, toast, and hash browns was $15.00 dollars and it was done right.This is a good alternative if you don't want the fancier breakfast places.We will be going back to this restaurant to try out other dishes.“

Atlantic Lobster was cooked to perfection, digby scallops were tender and packed with flavour, gigantic succulent tiger shrimp, blackened haddock was fantastic, atlantic salmon was sweet and delicious too. My first experience with seared Ahi Tuna and it did not disappoint!! “First time visit. We had the Dinner breakfast offering. The cost was approximately $19.50. I have to say WOW. The plate consisted of two pieces of thick bacon, two eggs, two sausage of very good quality..not greasy or mealy. Home Fries, salad along with an aoli to dip. A large piece of toasted foccasi. I just loved the presentation and the flavor. Service was very good... attentive server and very relaxing atmosphere. Coffee was above par. Ceaser for an opener ( very tasty) I also had a speciality coffee for desert. An offering that I hadn't seen in other establishment. And no I don't know the owners or staff! Highly recommend to try one of the breakfasts/ brunch and then determine yourself if this is one of your go to places. Yummy..getting hungry again. Cheers.“
“Definitely recommend coming during happy hour (between 4-6pm all week) and having the $1.50 oysters, which I think is the cheapest you can get these days. We had 12 each of the PEI and Nova Scotia oysters and both were delicious. Victoria was really great explaining the different oysters to us and the flavours, and even suggested some things we should go see in Halifax.“

We had the nachos and I have to say they are probably the best nachos I've ever had. The cheese was creamy and not waxy. Not sure if that's the right way to explain but that's all I have. Caramelized onions were incredible on the nachos. Even though it's in a hotel, the prices are reasonable and comparable to most moderately priced restaurants.
