Ok, I suppose that Kismet was one of the Halifax's pearls...
But, from person who was there for the first time... I don't know.... The desert was terribly...cheap 😒 Sorry, guys, that's true. I'm not complaining, just don't serve the desert if you don't know how to do that.

Thought, cocktails were extremely good!!💫💫💫 Bartender was nice and service was awesome!🌟 Thanks for that!💕

One more thing... interior... Cheap old white plastic siding on the walls? seriously?... Please... It's 2025 now!
Btw, your exterior looks so good! Just paint the walls and ceiling inside, the same color, make the space more cozy and fresh.

“We had an outstanding dining experience at The Press Gang that was enhanced by our server, Lindsey. We started with oysters and yellow-fin tuna. Both dishes were scrumptious. Our mains were the Tuscan Atlantic Salmon and Seafood Risotto. Both were excellent and Lindsay suggested the perfect wine pairing. This was by far one of the best dining experiences we have had!“

“Great spot with great rotating taps and excellent food. I was here during my first visit to Halifax in 2019 so it was top of my list to come back to. It’s still a prime space with a banger of a menu and friendly staff.

My only comments are it’s quite a dark space during the day even when it’s sunny out, so better for a dreary day or night hang if you’re after daylight vibes. The music when I was there was also quite eclectic and punk/emo-ish niche (and kind of loud), which is generally fine but was a bit odd.“

“I really enjoy this place. The staff is always great, pizza is good, and great choices of beers on tap. Beware of the kitchen closing times, dont trust Google (twice I went there and the kitchen was closed, once quite early). Sometimes they don't have all flavors available-It's not a huge deal, but for some people It could be frustrating. I also always find a bit too hot in there, but It wont prevent me to go back there often. Glad they are in the North End. Update: I am updating my review from 4 to 5 because they are always awesome and seem to have fixed the temperature thing and availability. 10/10“

“This was a really cool spot. I did some looking on Reddit before going for dinner and didn't see this place as a recommendation - ended up trying it out as we happened to walk by. Very glad we tried it though! Our server was very knowledgeable and made recommendations based on flavour profiles which you don't see often. Everything was priced similar to other bars but the ingredients were clearly high quality. We had the beet salad, (bright, fresh, zesty), lamb burger, (hearty, rich, flavourful), and salmon (crispy, light, balanced). I'd definitely come back.“

“Arrived lateish so not as busy or as loud as earlier hours would be. Our server Sarah was a delight. Attentive and accurate, chatty and friendly! Ordered a few mains and nachos as an appetizer. I think I'll go back just for the nachos! Sweet and salty, cheesy and delicious. Also, love tic tac toe on the table between courses!“

“Popped into levelbar after an afternoon of socializing.
The food - for pub food, was definitely on the higher quality side. Everything has good flavour and was well balanced in terms of salt. I had the chicken wings and an order of fries. Lots of food even though they are both side plates.
Service was fast and friendly.
The atmosphere was chill, it’s nice when places do a good job of acoustics and set the place up so sound is absorbed and you can hear the people you are hanging out with.
Would definitely return.“

“Came upon Stillwell almost by accident. There were a lot of places to get a beer in the area but the Beergarden offered a unique and serene outdoor setting. The staff were great, the beers varied and delicious and the food options perfect. So glad we wandered by!“

“This is our local taproom. I just love this place. Great bunch of people...staff and patrons. A great place to relax and enjoy some good conversation. The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“

“I was meeting my cousin for the first time in many years and he selected this British Pub. Food was excellent, with one of the best chowders I have had for a long time. All the typical pub fare you would expect including a range of pies, curry and a very good special - Lamb Shank. Good beer menu and a decent bar/games room downstairs.“

“I love this spot, the food is great when you want gastro pub feels. We went there on a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy. Only wish they had more staff waiting on customers because it took a while for the server to make his way round to us, and food to come to the table. There was a live singer, who did a great job with all the songs. Also, make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding and onion rings ☺️“

While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! As many know this is a beautiful scene, but what makes it more of a sight is when you receive such smiles and service of kindness!
