“We had an outstanding dining experience at The Press Gang that was enhanced by our server, Lindsey. We started with oysters and yellow-fin tuna. Both dishes were scrumptious. Our mains were the Tuscan Atlantic Salmon and Seafood Risotto. Both were excellent and Lindsay suggested the perfect wine pairing. This was by far one of the best dining experiences we have had!“

“Fun restaurant with interesting decor. They are committed to serving local food. They have a diverse menu with a reasonably flight of beers if you want to try some local brews. My soup was not hot but very delicious, They took it off the bill which showed their commitment to service. I was very impressed.“

“Fine pizzas by Yeah-Yeahs. A solid variety of their beers, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. They've initiated a good Sunday night acoustic guitar session, but unfortunately, the sightline from the majority of the seating is blocked by a low partition. It also affects the clarity of the music.“

“Easily my favourite place in Halifax. Great selection of beer brewed in house and lots of interesting special guest taps.
Super innovative and delicious food at reasonable prices. I can't believe I've never had okonomiyaki fries before, these are a revelation. Delicious smash burgers, and the cacao e pepe popcorn is a total sleeper hit (though definitely not a portion to tackle alone).
Great, knowledgeable staff and very chill room.“

“This is our local taproom. I just love this place. Great bunch of people...staff and patrons. A great place to relax and enjoy some good conversation. The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“

“Popped into levelbar after an afternoon of socializing.
The food - for pub food, was definitely on the higher quality side. Everything has good flavour and was well balanced in terms of salt. I had the chicken wings and an order of fries. Lots of food even though they are both side plates.
Service was fast and friendly.
The atmosphere was chill, it’s nice when places do a good job of acoustics and set the place up so sound is absorbed and you can hear the people you are hanging out with.
Would definitely return.“

“Wow so so impressed! My dinner was amazing!!! There was a small issue with my butter for my lobster and it was replaced immediately and my dinner was taken off my bill! I didn’t ask for any discount it was just automatically done on the bill! Unexpected and surprised! Thank you will highly recommend!!staff were lovely! Great job keg Halifax downtown!! “I went to Montana’s Dartmouth this past Wednesday for their All-You-Can-Eat Ribs special, and it was fantastic! Our server, Tiffany, made the whole experience even better. She was friendly, attentive, and kept the ribs coming without us ever having to ask. Tiffany checked in often, made sure drinks were topped up, and had such a great attitude that really added to the night.
The ribs were delicious, perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. Between the food and Tiffany’s outstanding service, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend stopping by on a Wednesday if you’re craving ribs you won’t be disappointed!“
“I was meeting my cousin for the first time in many years and he selected this British Pub. Food was excellent, with one of the best chowders I have had for a long time. All the typical pub fare you would expect including a range of pies, curry and a very good special - Lamb Shank. Good beer menu and a decent bar/games room downstairs.“

“Our food and service was 10/10. We had the chowder (incredible! Best I've ever had), the fish and chips (so good and a very large piece of fish), clam linguine (flavor was amazing, lovely presentation) and lobster roll with Ceasar salad (sooooo good). Our service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was cozy and quiet, especially considering the restaurant location is in the centre of the hotel. Overall, we had a wonderful meal and may even dine there again tonight.“

“Went in for a lil night out here tonight with a friend- loved it! The atmosphere/ music/ staff and she loved they had VLT’s there- Yummy cheap enough drinks too- will try food next time! Yup there will definitely be a next time!“

“OMG!!! The food was OUTSTANDING!!!! The seafood was incredibly fresh! Large portions! Highly recommend the seafood tower, duck sliders, molasses bread and lobster rolls! Service was quick, friendly and attentive. HIGHLY recommend - cant wait to return next time we are visiting Halifax. Do yourself a favour and eat HERE!!!“

“I could not be more thankful for the staff at the lower deck. While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! I could not be more grateful for the AMAZING staff who not only kept me calm, but no joke, FOUND ALL OF MY GEAR AND SAVED THE DAY!!! Mike, Steph, and Laura seriously deserve an award for how above and beyond they went last night. 10/10, thank you does not say enough“

“Really enjoyed our dinner and service here. Cozy, fun ambiance, friendly and knowledgeable server, creative and delicious drinks and an excellent round of plates. The design, lighting and music created a great atmosphere. The room wasn’t over crowded or loud. It was just perfect. Best tuna tartare I’ve ever put in my mouth.
