“Excellent food, cocktails, wine, service and environment. We had called earlier same day to see if we could get an earlier booking and was very pleased that they let us know that there was an earlier seating as a party had cancelled last minute. We ordered one of the starters and reordered same 15 minutes later, the raw scallop. Best way to have had anywhere in North America or Japan. Definitely a must eat at restaurant in Nova Scotia.“

“Very nice place, well appointed. Excellent service. The employees are friendly and know their products very well. What can we say about the choice of beer! It is very diverse and of good quality. One of the rare places in the Maritimes where you can find lambic on the bottle menu. Small disappointment, Stillwell no longer makes farmhouse type beers.“

Such a cool spot - popped in for some beer (which, by the way, their drink selection is MASSIVE) around 5-6pm on a Thursday and the place was already bumping. Love the huge tables and our door space - the cornhole game is a cute touch. We grabbed a pickle and chips which is self explanatory which was insanely good. Also recommend trying the sour beer options and the John Lemon seltzer which is essentially a hard lemonade but on the more bitter side which was to die for. A few people beside us grabbed hotdogs which looked and smelled amazing (so much so we tried to go back on Sunday and grab some to find out the garden is closed on Sundays). A really cool, chill crowd which really made the ambiance phenomenal.“

“This place was recommended to us by a "local" in Mahone Bay so we thought we'd try it out. It was quite busy on a Wednesday evening, yet felt relaxed with a nice, cosy atmosphere. We liked the choices on the menu and both had a good meals.“

The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“

“This is a little bar, but it has great food and drinks. I had the burger. It was excellent, juicy, and well constructed. Our cocktails were also good and the staff were nice. This is a cool spot. I'll definitely come back, especially as it gets warmer and check out the deck.“

“I was meeting my cousin for the first time in many years and he selected this British Pub. Food was excellent, with one of the best chowders I have had for a long time. All the typical pub fare you would expect including a range of pies, curry and a very good special - Lamb Shank. Good beer menu and a decent bar/games room downstairs.“

We came here on remembrance Day so practically no one was around. The restaurants located inside a hotel so it took a hot minute to find, but once we did we were immediately seated. The orders came quick, we got a lobster roll and truffle fries, I personally liked the fries better than the roll. There’s nothing inherently special about this place. Its just a quick dine and dash, so if that’s what you’re looking for, here you go.“

“Had a fantastic dining experience for my daughter's birthday! The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Enjoyed the steak and chicken fajitas—both were flavourful and perfectly cooked. The staff was incredibly friendly, even wishing my daughter a happy birthday, which made the evening feel extra special. Plus, we were surprised with a complimentary dessert that was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for great food and warm, welcoming service!“

“Food was okay, service was okay, we were outside, which was okay, 2 of the 4 plastic chairs were covered in bird poo so some rearranging was required before we sat. Our waitress was very nice but pretty scarce. The Oysters Rockefeller was very dry and just meh tasting. The fish and chips was okay. If you don't like real greasy battered fish you might prefer this. It was more like the corn batter on a corn dog. The fish itself was not bad and the fries were good. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place to anyone so it has maybe moved away from the eatery it used to be?“

While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! “On a cozy Nova Scotia evening I went out for dinner at this recommended restaurant, after a while of doing donuts to find parking we finally found a spot and got in early for our reservation.

The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and is well decorated on theme, the staff were mostly friendly and welcoming. The food was fine, a bit overcooked and less spiced, definitely a bit underwhelming for the recommendations of the restaurant but still an enjoyable dining experience.

If you’re in Halifax for a short amount of time I probably wouldn’t have this on the top of your list, but it’s not a bad option in anyway.

Parking: If it’s a busy night in Halifax (like a hockey game or etc) don’t expect to find parking right away“

“Went to this restaurant a few weeks ago. The Pho spring rolls and rice wrap was incredible! First time ever trying pho. I can’t stop thinking about it and can’t wait to go back. I think it’s my new fav place in the city. The staff were so kind, sweet and very attentive too. The restaurant is lovely. 5 stars for me 🤩“

“My boyfriend and I moved to Halifax for the summer and we are so disappointed we didn’t know about this place sooner. The vibes are spectacular! We made a Friday night reservation so we had a table for the mellotones but we ended up dancing most of the time anyways. The price for drinks is really good and we have no complaints. The building is so cool and they’ve done an awesome job with the space. The mellotones were a great band - highly recommend making it out!“

Sheri is an awesome bartender and makes the best Caesar’s. The inside is decorated unlike anything I’ve ever seen and I would say this is easily my favourite place to go in the city.“

“Chilly day on the water front ...thanks to Becky and Alexa for the great latte to warm me up .The service was fast despite problems with the debit machine . I still miss the DG on Spring Garden Road ( hope they come back after the dig ends)but it is worth the walk . Love this cafe.“
