“Our experience was amazing from start to finish as our server Kristin was attentive and met our every need from the wine to dessert. I had the special which was rabbit and I can say the chef has a winner with this meal, my spouse enjoyed the strip loin and it was done exactly the way he likes it ( medium rare leaning more towards the raw). It was melt in your mouth delicious. The half charcuterie board was a perfect treat prior to our mains. I thoroughly enjoyed my chocolate mousse for dessert while my spouse sipped on his Irish coffee. Ambiance is perfect for a couples night out or to enjoy with friends. We will definitely be back. Thanks to the entire Canteen family - and I say FAMILY purposefully as you feel the family atmosphere as soon as you arrive - for hosting our team for dinner last week. We booked out the whole restaurant and they did just what we hoped for: Maritime hospitality, wonderful, genuine service and knock-your-socks off food. The team from across Canada went bananas over the Crobster sandwich. The special welcome from the owners was a lovely touch. The guests raved all the way back across the harbour on the ferry about the wonderful meal from start to finish. It’s a lovely space that is not pretentious and puts an emphasis on fantastic food and exemplary service, with a genuine smile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

Reta's is a delightful spot where every dish bursts with flavor and the service is always warm and welcoming. From the first bite to the last, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It's a quiet, cozy place that lets you truly enjoy your meal and the company you're with. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing dining experience with amazing food!

I wish the plating of the duck dish would be a bit different. We couldn't enjoy the sauce much without ordering the sourdough bread. Also if spoons were provided without asking as the sauces go to waste and we cannot enjoy them with the fork so the amazing sauces are wasted.“

“This was one of the best meals we had on our Nova Scotia, PEI vacation. We saw the sign from the highway as it was near the airport. We decided to go for dinner and we so glad we did. We had the scallop dinner, and a baked halibut special. For dessert, we enjoyed the most delicious blueberry shortcake. Our server was friendly, super fun and definitely a very hard worker. We wish we’d sernit the night before as we would have eater here two nights.“

“Had a delicious meal tonight at the Larry Uteck location with my family. Portions were very large and great taste. But what made our night is the incredible server we had who was both witty, charming, funny while also very professional. He made my parents and grandmother all smile and laugh which was really appreciated. “The food at drift is incredible. The brown bread tastes just like my great grandmother's. My party was clearly not the usual clientele at drift but Francisco was SO welcoming and kind. I had the fondue burger (omg) and we split an order of the lobster hush puppies. I can't recommend it here enough.“

“This was a really cool spot. I did some looking on Reddit before going for dinner and didn't see this place as a recommendation - ended up trying it out as we happened to walk by. Very glad we tried it though! Our server was very knowledgeable and made recommendations based on flavour profiles which you don't see often. Everything was priced similar to other bars but the ingredients were clearly high quality. We had the beet salad, (bright, fresh, zesty), lamb burger, (hearty, rich, flavourful), and salmon (crispy, light, balanced). I'd definitely come back.“

“This was my first time at The Cannery, Bedford Row in downtown Halifax. I was greeted by friendly staff and my first thought was of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff were sharply dressed. The ambiance was chic and it was decorated in classy high end furnishings. I choose a both, yet still had a great view of Halifax harbour. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle was cooked flawlessly and the sauce was tasty delicious. I look forward to the steak on my next visit. Mixologist Abi is amazing and pours the best tasting cocktails the city has to offer. His drinks please both the eye and the taste buds as he has a few tricks up his sleeve. “Stopped by for lunch while on our way back home from NS camping trip. The wife made me haul a camper off of the highway, downtown to stop by - (I only agreed because it was Moxies) Service was a 10 star – food was a 10 star – drinks were a 10 star – this is probably the most consistent chain restaurant I have ever visited. I always review each experience because with most any restaurant, whether it be Moxies or any restaurant – each experience changes but with Moxies, it is consistent.“

“My husband and I shared our entrees . He had the fish and chips and I had pan fried halibut. Generous pieces of fish fish in both meals and chips were not greasy. The pan fried halibut was what I wanted not highly seasoned served with lemon.
I do not recommend the side salad: dressing full of chunky raw garlic in a little paper medication cup. The beet and goat cheese salad came without any goat cheese; but in general the food was quite good“

Very poor start to dinner but the rest was flawless: food, service, atmosphere and value. We almost left, but glad we didn't. Way to recover, that was a close one!“
