“I drop by this wee bakery cafe every time I go to the warehouse market - it's my sweet treat for loading up on veggies. Sometimes I have to wait cause they're often super busy, but it's ALWAYS worth it! Friendly staff remember my fave drink order (strawberry yuzu lemonade!!), and the fact that I always buy a madeleine for my mom :). A thoughtful, kind crew that produces the best in-house baked goods in Halifax! Esp love the almond and cinnamon rolls, basque cheesecake, and Mum's madeleine (ANY flavour). Give them some LOVE!“

“I am super impressed with Apartment 3. Attentive, FAST service that I have experienced in this entire area including Bedford to St Margaret’s Bay.

“One of the best hidden gems in Halifax. They pour espresso stronger than most coffee shops in the city and have extremely friendly baristas. Also great supply of tasty protein bars, cold coffee drinks and electrolytes. Worth the short side street walk off Agricola.“

“Ample space to stay and work/study. Nice playlist. The counter staff was unwelcoming which was surprising. The barista was friendly. Menu seems varied I can’t comment as I only had a flat white. I had requested extra hot and it came lukewarm and not full. I’m not appreciating the mandatory minimum 15% tip option.“

“Three guests in our party. Ate lunch there enjoying the Broccoli and Cheese Quiches with coffees and a hot chocolate. Quiches were very light, flavourful and incredibly filling. As we were celebrating a birthday, a dessert was selected by each of us: a chocolate cheesecake square, a peanut butter square with chocolate layer on top and an apple dessert as big as your head made with puff pastry and sweet apple filling. Verdict? Delicious!“

“Tony is the nicest man you'd ever meet. As someone who has worked in this mall for a decade, I know that I will always get a warm experience. My favorite item is their breakfast pita, which has scrambled egg, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and can add cheese. It's perfect for an easy breakfast that will hold you over til lunch. Sometimes I grab an afternoon snack here, which may be a Nanaimo bar, peanut butter cookie, etc. I haven't tried their pizza slices yet, but heard they are decent! “I recently moved back into the area and was hoping to have brunch here every weekend. I had the Madurito breakfast which was a wonderful treat. The flavours were exotic and well balanced and I left quite satisfied. The breakfast came to $30.00 including tip. After searching online, I found this was almost double the price of any breakfast in Halifax. Wonderful food, but keep in mind you are paying for inflated food costs and for specialty ingredients. Not affordable on my budget, unfortunately.“

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the creamy oat milk lattes and colourful lemonades and we found ourselves retuning to the Cafe every day of our vacation. We had the opportunity to meet Lara, the owner, and it was immediately clear why this Cafe is so tastefully decorated, why the atmosphere is so enjoyable and the menu so very delectable.
