“Lots of people actually doing karaoke on the night that I went, absolutely had a phenomenal time, definitely a place for mixed ages that's for sure, not only the customers but the bartender was very hospitable. Had a great time plan on going back!“
“This little bar has been on my bucket list to stop and check it out. Well we stopped on Sunday 08-08-21 on our way home from a trip. It totally didn't disappoint. The bartender was on it with the drinks and her hospitality was spot on. Some locals came in and where just as inviting. And the best part they had the Salt-O-Matics to kill any flies!!! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!!“
“Fun little spot with a wild west vibe. Keep in mind, no food except popcorn, which my kids loved. The server was awesome and so good to me and my kids. We all had lots of fun drinks and enjoyed the honky-tonk music. Neat historical saloon. I recommend! Spent $70 on drinks for me and my teens. They liked the vibe, light fixtures, and Shirley temples.Get there early, before the music starts, to find a spot to sit. Old timers from all around will flock here.Kid-friendliness: For a bar, it's funny that this place is so kid friendly, but it is. Keep in mind, my kids are 11-16.“
“When we got to Virginia City, the town was deserted. We were about to head back to Reno. Then we discovered this little bar. The ambience is amazing. At this place you have the opportunity to meet real locals. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to experience some authentic impressions of Virginia City. A beer for $2 is also the best we've seen on our USA trip.“
“A little unusual in that you have to order your food on one side and your beer on the other side. I guess it's actually two businesses operating together but they make it work. Great food, nice cold beer and classic Virginia City atmosphere. The bartender was wearing a Harley shirt so we had instant rapport and great conversation.“
“A historic saloon that has some excellent, unique beers on tap. Wine is Barefoot by the mini bottle only which was fine. Food is not served but you can bring your food in and then order drinks. It is nice because not near the crowds and the wait like the Palace Saloon. On a Sunday we did not have to wait for a table! Darts are available too!“
“Out of the way, Sweet little old town dive bar. Mostly locals with occasional tourist. Ricky bar maid was as pleasant as a southern peach. All the patrons were super friendly and it was very comfortable. I imagine this could be a fun place on a Friday or Saturday night. I will be back for more fun!!“
“Super chill spot when you just want to meet some friends for a drink. Just around the corner from the Airbnb where we were staying and made for a great pre-dinner drink stop. Great selection of whiskey at reasonable prices…and lots of other options for the non whiskey drinkers among the group“
“My wife and I live in Carson City but went to the grand opening of the Odeon Saloon back in February of 2023 and have been coming back ever since and mainly because the place is just so darn cool! We love that it's in downtown Dayton, filled with history, is fun to be in and Joanna makes an outstanding Picon Punch - one of the best we've had in all of Northern Nevada. If there's a downside to this place, it's that they don't serve food but fortunately, J's Old Town Bistro is just a few short steps away and they have killer Italian food. If you're into old town saloons, this is a stop you have to make.“
