“Congratulations, how you manage to survive with this heat and here it is an oven, the refrigerators are not full and it means that they use the SAME electricity and I have seen criticism of the employees but with this environment you cannot provide first-class service.“

“My wife is from El Salvador, so she really wanted to try to place. She loved the food, the horchata was on point. She said it tasted like her grandma's. But she really did enjoy the food. The vibe was quiet and pleasant. There wasn't alot of people, but it was constant. And they had a never ending of To-Go orders. What we also noticed about the to-go orders is that the people from the restaurant saying the people picking up their food by name, which told us that they were returning customers. That says alot. The only thing we would recommend to the waitresses is to be more attentive, check on the tables more constantly. However, they were very nice and respectful. We highly recommend this place. Pupusas were on point, if i may add. If you're from El Salvador, this place will remind you of home.“

“The QUALITY of these pupusas is unmatched, unparallel, completely amazing, the pupusas are a good size, great prices, the curtido is great with a hint of spice, just enough, as well as the red sauce, this place is a must try! I found my new place to get my pupusas, absolutely amazing 👏 compliments to the chef. I will drive across town to get a dozen! I also tried their platanos fritos con crema y frijol, so good! staff is friendly, they are open 10am-7pm open everyday with the exception of Dec 24th and Jan 1st.“

“Most importantly, the food is DELICIOUS! The horchata tasted fresh and the pupusas were mouth watering. Even with that aside - the staff is super friendly and helpful, the space is humble and cozy, and the prices are very reasonable :) I’m just sorry I hadn’t stopped to try it sooner! This is definitely a new regular spot for our household.“

“The food is good, I have tried different dishes, such as shrimp with garlic mojo, Salvadoran churasco, roast burrito recommended
The only complaint would be that the music on television is very loud.
The service is very good, the waitress "Ale" is very friendly and is always looking out for you.“

“Very friendly people. Frequent daily. Can't wait for the salad bar to open. Salad bar open as of 3.22.22. not much in the way of hot food bar. No soups either but still the same as above.7-16-23: pizza really good. Fresh cut meats and sea food deli has improved tremendously. Still really nice people who work there as well. Charleston location has self-serve checkouts. Busy location.“

“This has got to be one of the most nastiest places that I've ever been to this place makes horrible pupusas and I'm just letting you know that it is very very nasty you will see if you do not feed my advice more than likely you will get some bad food and very very poor service I have put a video on after I was giving some very undercooked food that was falling apart and when I approached the lady at the register seen refuse to give me my money until another young lady light skin kind of blondish hair stepped in and helped me to get my money back I put the video up so you can take a look (UPDATE) THEY FINALLY CHANGED STAFF AND WAS AWESO.E....“

“Great pupusas. Bit long to wait 20m for three pupusas But they are handmade and good quality. Would recommend to dine in or order ahead for a balance of quality food to time ratio. Ordering there for pick up might take long for a work break.“

“Nuevo San Salvador on Maryland Parkway is a great place to start, if you haven’t had Salvadoran food before. It’s known for its bold dishes, huge portions, and warm, welcoming vibes. The place feels like a little slice of El Salvador—colorful walls, lush greenery, and the smell of fresh pupusas on the grill. Speaking of pupusas, they’re a must—filled with cheese, beans, or pork. And if you’re hungry for comfort food, try the caldo de gallina—it’s a local favorite.“
