It has been many years since my last visit. I prefer the old round hush puppys rather than the oblong ones now. Also the flavored butter is seriously lacking compared to days of old
The atmosphere was great and welcoming. The food was not prepared correctly and the portions are not what the used to be.
It kills me to update this review. We brought friends with us who had never been to The Hush Puppy. We raved about it and told them how my husband and I grew up eating here with our families (we didn't know each other back then). Our 4 sons grew up loving eating here also. It has changed dramatically and we probably wont return. The catfish was terrible- very thin, over cooked and dry, and the new breading over powers the fish. The Hush Puppy LV is a restaurant that has undergone some changes, but still offers a delightful dining experience. The Jambalaya, while the sauce may be a bit thin and the vegetables a bit chunky, is still superb and captures the flavors of New Orleans. The Red Beans and Rice, a side dish, is also praised for its outstanding flavor.
The restaurant has also undergone a cleaning, making it a more pleasant dining experience. The service staff is accommodating and responsive to customer needs, although some customers have experienced occasional delays. The new management seems to be striving to provide a quality dining experience, with the potential to build a loyal customer base.
