The Hush Puppy LV Reviews
It kills me to update this review. We brought friends with us who had never been to The Hush Puppy. We raved about it and told them how my husband and I grew up eating here with our families (we didn't know each other back then). Our 4 sons grew up loving eating here also. It has changed dramatically and we probably wont return. The catfish was terrible- very thin, over cooked and dry, and the new breading over powers the fish. The prices have increased and the menu has been...read full review
I would love to tell you that the food was great and the service was excellent, but I can’t. Supposedly, they open at 4 PM. The doors were still locked as of 4:36 PM. That’s no way to run a business. We will consider giving it a go again at some other time, but now we are off to spend our food money somewhere else.
In Vegas from Reno, remembered how good this place used 2 b, it did not disappoint lifelong, best friend n I had a dinner there. Service was good. Surprisingly, not as busy as it used 2 b back n the day. But the catfish dinner is on point, highly recommended

The Hush Puppy LV is a restaurant that has undergone some changes, but still offers a delightful dining experience. Customers are greeted with the lively sounds of Ragtime Jazz, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu may not be overly elaborate, but the flavors are spot-on, particularly in the southern-inspired dishes.
The catfish, prepared in cornmeal, is a standout, cooked to perfection and delivering a true southern taste. The Jambalaya, while the sauce may be a bit thin and the vegetables a bit chunky, is still superb and captures the flavors of New Orleans. The Red Beans and Rice, a side dish, is also praised for its outstanding flavor.
The restaurant has also undergone a cleaning, making it a more pleasant dining experience. The service staff is accommodating and responsive to customer needs, although some customers have experienced occasional delays. The new management seems to be striving to provide a quality dining experience, with the potential to build a loyal customer base. Customers appreciate the big servings, fresh and delicious food, and the variety of options, including a decent steak and burger, as well as the warm and amazing sweet potato pie.
