“Most of the food is good, but nothing special. It's obvious what foods the cooks actually cook and what they just heat up, with the ones they cook being much better. It hits the spot for some quick food, but for some of the selections there could be some seasoning added. Their marinara said is especially guilty. It's not bad, it's just not good either. It's very watery and has a strong tin and acid taste. Add a bit of sugar to dull the acid and a lot of Italian seasoning to cover up the tin flavor and it would be better. You could also stand to use some Wondra to thicken it a bit, but that's personal preference.“

“Fajita chicken salad was so good i didn't realize how quickly i ate it lol however the service was seemingly slow as it wasn't packed in there matter of fact there was only 2-4 other patrons there , didn't make sense why service was slow as it was but all together the experience was great aside from that“

“Stopped into this local watering hole while traveling through the charming town of Minden. I enjoyed an IPA on tap as well as a spinach-garlic pizza (made fresh to order). Beer and pizza were very good. Service was very friendly and although I am not a local, I was treated like ‘a regular.’ Atmosphere is ‘old-school’ casual. Location is right in the heart of historic (downtown) Minden.“

“Absolutely lovely. We stopped by on our way home to California from Virginia City. I thought the name was cool. The staff were all friendly, energetic and helpful. They were knowledgeable about the menu and the town. Pizza was delicious and a nice selection of wines. We will definitely stop on our next visit. Louis, our server, was great!“

“We got there right before closing and they were packed but they managed to get us a table. Turned out great . The atmosphere was warm the music was nice The musician was talented. We were in the same room and you could still have a conversation I appreciated that. We got lucky that night getting the table without reservations and that late. Thank you 1862!“

“Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff. Mac and Cheese and pork sandwich were delish, French onion could have used a little more salt during making (not the same as adding salt at the table). Even saw some deer rummaging in the front.“

“my husband and I went today for lunch. our niece kept talking about the steak sandwich. he went for that with grilled garlic and I had the chicken sandwich. it was melt in your mouth great. service center was fast.we had a bit of entertainment from Mabel. the granddaughter, little cutie.“
