L'Roca Restaurant & Lounge offers authentic flavor and great value in a setting described as intimate and sexy, with an atmosphere that looks amazing and includes a great vibe from the music. The food is noted as good and fresh, with dishes like the platter with shrimp, rice and peas, and sweet plantains being delicious and seasoned perfectly. Other menu highlights include chicken nachos that were on point, great fajitas, and a spicy margarita that was one of the best. The passion fruit juice is also amazing. However, the pernil is inconsistent—one day moist, another day very dry. The lemon pepper wings are absolutely disgusting, with so much seasoning that it cannot be enjoyed. Service varies; while some visits feature top-level, phenomenal, and attentive service with a friendly and helpful server, other experiences involve long waits and a lack of attention. The owner is welcoming and friendly. Prices are decent for the economy, offering high-quality, authentic food at an affordable price. This is a nice place for a date, but not the best for kids.
