“While visiting beautiful Alexandria Bay, we stumbled upon Dark Island Spirits. Let me tell you, we were so glad that we did. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by friendly faces and knowledgeable staff who guided us on our tasting journey. We tried a few flights, and to be honest, we enjoyed every single tasting sample. We ended up leaving with a few bottles of the Eleanor Glen 1000 Islays - Peated American Single Malt Whiskey as well as a few bottles of the Mountain Strong - Corn whiskey aged in one of our used bourbon barrels. If you're in the area, I highly suggest stopping by and trying some amazing and unique spirits. UPDATE: 8/28/24 Stopped back in and got to meet Kelly and William. Both had an infectious energy and made our visit totally amazing. Can not recommend Dark Island enough. Try a flight or grab a drink and chill on the patio. Can't wait for our next visit.”

“Amazing people and amazing wine. We did our tasting with Lisa and she is the nicest and so easy to talk to. My husband and I stopped in during our trip back to visit family before moving across country and I’d had their wine before so I knew it was good but visiting the winery made it even better knowing what a great, welcoming, and warm staff they have. Telling everyone I know about them.”

“We’re visiting in the offseason and after striking out at some of the restaurants in town, we came here more by default than anything, as we’re staying at the hotel. So I went in with pretty low expectations, which thankfully were well surpassed. Angie was the only server working the whole restaurant and she did so without breaking a sweat - a true pro. And our food was very good - my blackened mahi mahi was cooked perfectly. The prices were reasonable and the location couldn’t be beat as we were staying two floors above. A solid 5 star experience.”

“This little pub has been owned by the same family for 74 years . The owner is a musician and runs the bar like a music venue first . A music venue that happens to have 2 exceptional bars . Inside pub and an outside Tiki bar . Both bars have a stage and present outstanding live bands . NOTE * WE DID NOT OPEN THIS SUMMER (2020) It just wasn’t right . Wasn’t safe due to COVID-19 So we wait. I am painting and redecorating ,improving sound and lights and improving all the little thing that add up to an exciting reopening when the pandemic ends . I miss playing in the band with my friends in the Dog Bros.Band ! I miss our patrons . This little pub is like the family farm , so it will reopen when the laws allow .”

“Best calm chowder i ever had. A lot of place dont have enough class in the soup. No worries here. Waiter was charming and food was delicious. I thought it would expensive but found it reasonably priced for the quailty and quantity of the food. Definitely recommend.”

“We chose Windows on the Bay, because it was highly rated and on the water. We were celebrating our 50th Anniversary with our son and his wife. We were able to sit on the deck, look out at the water and the boaters, and enjoyed a fantastic meal with great service. We did not need a reservation. Because other restaurants where we planned to eat on Sunday night were closed, we ate at Windows again and had the same enjoyable meal and service. Both waitresses were very efficient and personable. The food was great. As we are from Long Island, NY, we were used to paying a lot more for that kind of great meal.”

“Pizza is excellent and far superior to any others in town. Shop is casual if not sparse and service seems to be better cooks than dealing with people. Big drawback is their cash only policy - though quaint, I'm sure is losing them alot of customers”
