Beautiful spot on the river with a lot of activities
It was our first resort, so we can't compare it to others so to speak. We were happy with our accommodations, though the buildings could use some updates and paint. And some kind of bug deterent. Lol (but being on the river, what should you expect if not bugs)
Cost effective option. Place is dated but clean. Staff responsive and helpful. The outside pool was our favorite. Warm and clean, not crowded. Cost effective option if you are going to 1000 islands

Bonnie Castle Resort & Marina offers outstanding customer service, great deals on riverfront rooms, and a fantastic continental breakfast. The staff is super friendly, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and very quiet. While some guests note a slight musty smell, bringing a dehumidifier can help. Visitors can enjoy the well-kept grounds, with maintenance workers always on site, and take advantage of the two pools and reliable WiFi. The location is walkable to anywhere in the bay, with a great view of Boldt Castle just steps away. Nearby activities include a small bay for scuba diving, where guests can explore platforms, swim towards an old car, see sailboats, and spot fish. Although the resort shows signs of aging, it remains popular for a comfortable stay with scenic views. The indoor pool is heated perfectly, making it a relaxing place for guests, and the staff is always helpful and pleasant. The room rates are affordable, and many visitors look forward to returning, especially those coming for the diving and outdoor experiences.
