I am not from the area and spent the morning taking grandchild to Trevor Zoo, it was a 1hour 25 minute trip and I will return sans grandchild and zoo to enjoy this wonderful place. Heirloom tomato, turkey BLT, Brie with turkey sandwiches were otherworldly and the 3 year old practically inhaled his BBQ chicken quesadilla! “A trip back in time to a handmade sandwich shop the way they used to be. The sandwiches are delicious, as are the cake slices and pudding desserts in the case. The service is exactly what it should be: knowledgeable, efficient, local. A local institution for lunch on the run, and well deserved best sandwich shop around.“

“Food -- amazing. Truly delicious, old school selections. Service -- average. Felt somewhat pressured to hurry, even though we weren't dallying. Ambiance -- okay. It's in a strip mall, so... We had a gift certificate that was left with the restaurant's owner when it was purchased, and he assured me that they would be able to find it without a problem, but of course when it was time to close the check, neither the server nor the hostess could find it anywhere, and the owner was in Europe. The restaurant was fairly busy at that moment, and neither of the employees seemed particularly interested in spending time on the problem, which was pretty annoying. I ended up using a credit card and then having to speak to the owner about it later. He was kind enough to refund the amount to my credit card later. But the entire episode could have been avoided.“

“Sweet William's offers the best lattes in the area, and some really remarkable baked goods--I don't think I've had anything that has been less than stellar, from their cinnamon rolls (which are deliciously sort of like a biscuit dough in cinnamon roll form?), to their cookies (the molasses ginger cookie is a particular winner), to their cakes (the orange olive oil cake was a revelation!), to their pies (the strawberry rhubarb crisp was phenomenal). It's expensive, even by the standards of the area (a 16 oz. latte costs more than 24 oz ones at a lot of places) but the quality is worth it. Tiny, but with a lovely little outdoor space as well as some seating in the back. Highly recommend it!“
