“The door man/singer lured us in just after entering little Italy. The air condition was non existent where we were seated (near the out door entrance/sidewalk, but the food was pretty good. I'm not mad at eating here, but there may have been better options.“

“I was craving collard greens - and looking for a new place to try. I found Village BBQ on line and was impressed with the reviews so off I went. Randy the owner is not only the nicest guy but a fantastic chef! He and his wife run the business. I had his brisket (at his insistence!) Delicious! Sweet potatoes and collard greens. Customer next to me raved about the banana pudfing so I added that too. All 5 star!!! Very happy I took the chance on a place in a gas station!!“

“I live in Wantagh and have been to Dang many, many times. The food is great, the service is fantaststic and I would rate you a 10 out of 10 but for one thing...the MUSIC is horrible! It is the same songs by the same artist every time we attend and it is about 50% too loud as well. I like country music and it is appropriate but please, get some decent country music that has some classics and recognizable artists. Today, we had a great lunch and our waitress, Kaitlin, was wonderful. But we skipped desert because we just could not take any more of the terrible music. I know others who share my opinion. “Ordered take out from here for the first time in a couple of years. I'm not sure why we stopped ordering. The food was always good but last night seemed better than what we remembered. Chicken, salmon, shrimp and steak, all Hawaiian style, all had great flavor. Portion sizes were just right, even the salmon which some places skimp-out with the fish. no left overs but we weren't still hungry after finishing. A nice personal touch was when the lady behind the counter referred to me by my first name. Usually I'm just a phone number at other places. My finicky family asked that this place go back on the rotation for dinner options. It will. And knowing they have poke now, I'll have to try that too.“
