“I had an event at Aloha NYC Lounge. The Playa Ball 2018! WE HAD SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! We were treated like we've been doing business with this establishent for years, as opposed to first time clients! Mr. Bosch is extremely professional! When we were scouting out locations for our event, our first choice was an establishment in Brooklyn, NY, because it was closer and it already had that 70's look. Not much decoration, if any, would be needed. However, when we arrived to talk business, there were 3 patrons and the owner appeared to not have time to talk money. So, what he did was hand me a piece of paper with the rules and what they'd need from me, shook my hand and walked away. We jumped back in the car and headed to Aloha NYC! Walking in, you could see there was definitely an event going on. Still feeling slighted from the last place we sought out, I didn't have the confidence this would go any better, because THIS owner was obviously busy! Mr. Bosch had a rap showcase happening in the back room, and he was setting up for 2 more events that would take place that evening as well! Do you know that man took the time to talk to me about my event!?! No, it wasn't a rushed conversation! He wanted to know my vision for my event, then explained how having it at the Aloha NYC Lounge would work. That young man was spot on!!!!! It was great!!!!!! We had such a wonderful time, we've decided to have "The Playa's Ball 2019" at Aloha NYC also!!!!! The place is kept immaculate! The staff are very professional and friendly! “I get takeout from here all the time and the food is AMAZING but for some reason the plastic fork they provide always breaks while eating and I'll find myself biting into a loose prong halfway through my bowl??? This happens like every 2 out of 3 times too so I know it's not just a one off thing. Super odd but that would be my only ask that they get better utensils lol

“Okay. I am from europe and maybe for someone living in NYC something like this is normal but you cant find any food like this. Like personalizing everything to the end. I eate bowl for like 19 dollars what is cheap as hell and i had 3 types of proteins in it. Like 2 types of chicken skhrimps. Vegetables ofc with rice and sezame. Perfect sause perfect everything. Best food i had in NYC. Lady doing my food was very kind and Nice for me. She is called smth like Karmi or karmine or karmen idk but she did great job, i dont know how much she earns but she needs more money for this job i am sure. Exraordinary experiance. “The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. It has several tables for dining in. I ordered the Hawaii classic poke bowl. Poke bowls have an Asian food background. It consisted of salmon (uncooked), scallions, cilantro, sweet onion, cucumber, edamame, seaweed salad, mango, garlic crisps and sesame shoyu. It was a nice sized bowl and tasted fresh. The service and food preparation were fast.“

I accidentally placed my order at another location and didn’t realize it until I went to pick up the order. The manager overheard and he was so kind. He asked me to just order it again at the counter and NO CHARGE!

The manager didn’t have to do this but he took care of me. It’s windy day today and I did not spend my entire lunch time to walk another half mile one way to retrieve my lunch and come back.

Thank you Poke Bowl! It is hard to find this kind of customer care at a fast food lunch spot these days. I will be back, like always.“

“Very cute decor and entry than a upper level of seatings. Love the option of creating your own bowl. Pen and menu ready for you place your own order. Wasnt much service or greetings exchanged either but just got some grins. Service point vise definitely needs improvements. We created our own bowls. Love and enjoyed every part of it. All fresh ingredients. Tuna and salmon so fresh. Portion wasn't as big as my 8 yr old daughter could finish her bowl and still not full. We also ordered 2 light bulb drinks. The pina colda was really good. I always ask for less sweet and they made it. Got pineapple bits in it. The passion fruit came with jelly. Was too sweet even requested to make it less sweet. Overall we enjoy our lunch. We pay for fresh ingredients and good quality food and received it. The poke bowls were delish with compliment of their sauces. We got to try them. Definitly go back if we are around the area. Again services can improve.“

Very easy to clean up afterwards as well since each serving comes in their individual bowl. Payment process was simple using online system. “As many times as I've eaten here over the years and forgot to post my original poke bowl place. Which, of course, I still eat their. Always fresh ingredients and good people working there. This is always my go-to poke bowl and will never change.Mixed greens, brown rice, 3 orders of chicken, cucumbers, kale, crab salad, seaweed, tomatoes, mushrooms, spicy mayo, sesame seed, cilantro and garlic chips.Sometimes avocado, every now and then. Try one. Trust me, you will like it.“

Do they just run out of noodles sometimes? Are they trying to generate demand? I can’t imagine why a business would just want to not be open randomly, but I guess that’s a fun choice.“
