“Really like this place, I love being able to build my own poke bowl and the sauces are delicious! (Chili garlic oil and sweet teriyaki are my fave) their service is quick and the ambience is chill. I always get the ahi tuna with half of tofu or chicken on a bed of mixed greens and a scoop of brown rice (props to healthier quick options!) Great toppings and mix ins like different seaweed salads, mango, garlic and onion chips plus more! Service is always quick when I visit during lunch time.“
“Where do I start!? As a brain cancer / surgery survivor eating fresh, clean food is important to me. It's very rare to find a place with ownership who cares about the integrity and quality of the food they sell, from the meat to the salad dressing. Not only is the quality of the food superb but the taste is even better. After years of takeout and dropping in for my regular smoothie, I met the two lovely sisters who own all locations a few months ago. The owners were doing a photo shoot outside, and my sister, dog, niece , nephew and a very large double stroller rolled up. It was hot, and we needed to sit down but didn't want to interfere with the photo shoot. The owners stopped the photoshoot and had us sit down, had a lovely conversation and treated us as if we were family. Oh! And the restaurant is always spotless and very clean! Hard to choose a favorite item since the entire menu is delicious, but my top ordered times are: the Shaka bowl, waipio bowl, detox smoothie, big island açaí bowl, lava rock tacos.. I could go on forever!!Here's a photo of my small size bowl from takeout tonight.“
“Shaka Kitchen stands out in the fast casual scene with its chef-curated, health-focused menu that caters to every dietary need. Whether you're into keto, vegan, gluten-free, or have other dietary preferences, they offer delicious solutions without compromising on flavor. A must-visit for a guilt-free, yet tasty dining experience!“
“A hidden gem in the east village. Food is experimental and delicious to eat. The Hawaiian Asian fusion food is very unique and rare to find in the city. The gluten-free fried chicken is a must go for anyone who has dietary restrictions. It is crispy, juicy and delicious.Szechuan Bolognese is quite an interesting combination of Chinese and Italian cuisine.Heritage pork chop is a very delicious too.Not to mention the dessert!! The brûlée Hawaiian pineapple and the Chocolate Haupia Sundae are too good to miss!I love the intimate environment. Small space without too much pretentious. The service is superb. You can tell the staff generally care about if their customers have a good time there. Very spontaneous, very friendly and very observable. Will come back again!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free fried chicken“
“Met up with my partner after a rehearsal she had down here (she’s the best!) anywho - tried to walk into red hook tavern without a res (like a coupla chumps!). They saidIt was gonna be a seven year wait til we could get the shrimp cocktail, so tail-between-our-legs we hobbled down Van Brunt (like adorable animated dogs from a 90’s Disney Movie) and poked our heads into TGFP (we are on an acronym basis at this point ;) - the vibes ? Immaculate. The food? Indescribable (( actually think the burger rivals RHT ?)), but I digress - unpretentious, creative menu, another gem of the neighborhood. Come here folks or I’ll come and get you !“
“Fantastic poke bowl spot right off 3rd Avenue. Swung by for a good lunch, and that's what I got. The worker was so friendly and had a great attitude.I got the build your own poke. For proteins, I went with spicy tuna and spicy salmon. Both had great taste and freshness. All the mix-ins were fresh and flavorful. The Kani salad and seaweed salad were a great touch.I recommend this to anyone who wants a great lunch. They also had ramen that I'll have to come back for.Parking: Very little parking.“
“Came here after reading reviews, very affordable and good portion of poke / chirashi bowl.Ordered the signature, not too spicy and good portion of fish to rice + the furikake they put on this gives it extra chew and it's yummy!Good service too! Very nice cashier too!“
“pre-made poke was much better as bowl is wider than custom pick 3, which is narrow bowl.As others suggested, with such bowl, all the sauces remain on top and you end up eating rice on tbe bottom without the sauce. ?Bubble tea is so so, don't have hugh expectations as this is not a Boba place.Vegetarian options: tofu“
“If you are looking for place with good vibe and great food, check this one out! Poke bowl & acaii bowl both are fresh, very fulfilling, taste ????? lots of options and worth every pennyService was very quick yet everything is always put beautifully on my plate. I’ve tried dine in, take out, delivery, everytime piki poke always hit it!I’ve seen family with kids, fdny, gym people and senior here. No doubt about their freshness and qualityStaffs are very friendly and very attentive. This place is probably the most underrated in Astoria. Definitely a hidden gem“
“Was nearby the other day and decided to check this place out for dinner, and I'm glad I did! There are plenty of seats inside with a well lit and clean interior. You grab a menu and marker at the entrance, mark what you want, and hand it to the person at the counter. The food will be ready almost immediately. I got the ray grilled salmon bowl - it was delicious. Definitely a fast and easy casual dine-in experience. There's also a restroom for customers only, and you'll need their key. Overall would recommend!“
“We have been going here for years. Now it is part of our week we have dinner there. The staff which has been so loyal and consistent are lovely, the owner is lovely, so happy this place and these people are right in walking distance to my house. Now the food, it is so tasty and fresh, just yum. <3“
“This is the best poke I've had living in NYC for 10 years. I absolutely love the quality of the fish and the toppings. Have been eating their bowls for over a year -- at one point multiple times a week and they are very consistent. They have an excellent and unique beverage selection. The staff is extremely friendly and kind -- with the decorative flower being a nice touch.I had one occasion where GrubHub made a mistake and the owner of Poke Tiky Bar made it right (no questions asked), which is above-and-beyond in my opinion. There is limited indoor seating, but the restaurant is well decorated and in an ideal location. Plenty of outdoor seating for the warmer months. I could not recommend this place more. The best! 10/10“
“Excellent little place! I passed this on my way to the movie theater and picked up a bowl. It was scrumptious. I now have ordered several times for delivery. They are quick kind and the ingredients are super fresh.Vegetarian options: You can build bowls with many itemsKid-friendliness: Easy for kids to pick and choose“
“I was in the store and even though they were so busy, they treated me very well, Jair is a happy guy, his energy and his way of serving is too good, by the way, he gave me to try the pork and it was delicious, next week I will be back with my friends to enjoy it. Thanks Jair ??“
“This is hands down my favorite Poke place in Brooklyn. The service is always incredible and the food is fresh. My favorite is the Spicy Ahi Bowl, but I also love the Poke Your Way bowl if I'd like to customize ingredients. If you're looking for an unreal Poke spot, I highly recommend this place!“
“I've visited this business about a dozen times, and each time I go, they never forget my order or make any mistakes. They also offer the best poke bowls in the neighborhood. They never even have a poor experience with the mango or pineapple, and their spicy tuna is savory, spicy, sweet, and excellent. They are also very friendly on the inside. Their ingredients are always fresh and delicious. Although I normally stay with the tried-and-true, their boba is one of my favorites in Hudson County, and their steamed dumplings are excellent. Strongly advised“
“Great spot for lunch during work - had a long line when I went but it moved really fast! Lots of options to choose from and food was very fresh. They give you good portions and can get busy during lunch hour, so keep that in mind. Was really cute inside as well and the workers were friendly.“
“I frequent this establishment at least once a week. The food is fresh and great tasting. I customize my choices all the time and everyone is very pleasant. You definitely won’t be hungry afterwards it’s very fulfilling.Vegetarian options: There’s one bowl that’s vegan or you customize your own bowl. Plenty of options“

The customizable bowls allow for a personalized culinary adventure, starting with a base of fresh, perfectly seasoned rice or greens. The selection of proteins, from succulent tuna to savory tofu, ensures a diverse range of options to suit every palate. What elevates this establishment is the exceptional quality of ingredients. The fish is impeccably fresh, sourced with a discerning eye for quality, and the vibrant array of vegetables adds a burst of color and flavor. “The service is quick and everyone is super nice. The food was fresh and very tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant. I like the flower setup design on the ceiling. The kitchen and food preparation workstations look clean.I highlyrecommend eating here.“
“We got the tonkotsu ramen yesterday and it was okay, not the best ramen but not terrible. Last week, i got the poke burrito and that was great! I would recommend coming here for poke instead of ramen, it is poke place lol. The service is great and the employee there is always very nice and friendly. The store is quite small but has seating and looks cleaned when I've stopped by to grab my food.“
“Always love how refreshing the bowls are! Very filling while also not feeling too heavy, and everything tastes freshly made. I work nearby so it was very important that the order was ready on time, and it was a pleasant and swift pickup. Thanks!“
“I met my friend in Manhattan for coffee, but after coffee we wanted to eat something. As we were browsing Google Maps for some acai bowls, we stumbled upon a Poke Bowl place instead, and it turned out to be a great find! Despite its appearance as a takeout joint without tables or table service, it's definitely worth visiting. The poke bowl was delicious—actually, the best one I've had so far. I usually don't eat rice, but they offer other options like cauliflower rice or zucchini, which is fantastic. I ordered a poke bowl with zucchini and rare tuna, along with many additional toppings, which were unlimited. The service was excellent; the staff there were incredibly friendly, patient, and always smiling. It was so good that the next time I was in the area, even though it was a bit of a walk, I went back again. And I'll definitely be returning every time I'm in the area.“
“I wanted to find a pace that had a good healthy options after a great spin class. I had walked passed total a few times and decided to give it a try as I wanted something light on my walk back home. I walked in and only one person working and not busy on an early Sunday afternoon. I ordered the pb&j with some chocolate protein and it was amazing. The taste of it was great and the portion was suitable as well. As someone who is trying to be more intentional with eating choices and having more protein, this hit the spot. They seem to have other great options as well that I wil definitely try out another time!“
“I live for the Honolulu Salmon Poke Plenty Bowl and crave it for lunch regularly. It's fresh, delicious, and a satisfying portion without being too much (I'm looking at you, Chipotle burrito). It's a little pricey but worth it imo. The line gets very long at lunchtime so I recommend ordering online and picking up.“
“As many times as I've eaten here over the years and forgot to post my original poke bowl place. Which, of course, I still eat their. Always fresh ingredients and good people working there. This is always my go-to poke bowl and will never change.Mixed greens, brown rice, 3 orders of chicken, cucumbers, kale, crab salad, seaweed, tomatoes, mushrooms, spicy mayo, sesame seed, cilantro and garlic chips.Sometimes avocado, every now and then. Try one. Trust me, you will like it.“
“Really tasty and fresh poke bowls. I've had the shrimp bowl that I put custom ingredients in and everything tasted very fresh. The amount of free choices to add to your bowl are plentiful and they really fill the bowl. They are also very quick with pick up orders and the customer service is friendly.“
“These bowls are so amazing! When I first moved to New York I was looking for healthy and affordable food options and this quickly became my go-to. The teriyaki salmon is my favorite protein but to be honest everything has a very good taste. The only thing I don't like is that it really isn't my favorite place to sit down and eat.“
“Had a very good bowl at this spot today. I was walking around and dropped in. I ordered the large bowl and added two scoops. For protein I had the spicy shrimp, spicy crab, ahi, salmon and spicy pork ( which was great). Good options for veggies and sauces. Definitely worth a shot if you need something good to go.“
“Best bubble tea in NJ! I really love their unique and delicious flavors. Definitely my go to when I’m craving bubble tea. If you like coffee try their cappuccino smoothie with coffee jelly, and if you’re adventurous and looking for a new flavor try their chocolate bubble tea with tapioca jelly!“
“I love Kona. It’s my favorite place to get work done during the day, and I’m grateful they allow laptops. The coffee is so good- they have a macadamia nut and coconut flavor shot that you can add to coffee or lattes. It’s so good. Food is great too. Staff always friendly and smiling. Love it here!“
“Iced Hawaiian Latte was as delicious as expected. I absolutely loved this spot during my NYC trip--aesthetic cafe, nice baristas and tasty coffee. I also grabbed a box of their coffee beans to bring back as a souvenir and they made absolutely scrumptious cups of coffee back home.“
“The food was great, but not for the price of nearly 20 dollars for a small poke bowl. I could make this at home and still have enough money to feed a village with this price… I think that it was also discomforting to have clear glass walls looking in at either Herald Sq. or the Urban Outfitters this restaurant is annexed to. Though the design is pretty, it’s not very practical to have to stare at pedestrians and clothing shoppers while trying to enjoy my food. Regardless pretty good.“
“This was a great lunch date. Ever since my wife went to Hawaii she has been talking about Loco moco so it was nice to finally experience it. The atmosphere was amazing and so was the food. We will definitely return. Pictured are the Loco moco, the kahuku shrimp truck, the elotes, and the tater tots.“
“Friendly staff (none of the NY "snark"), insanely-good food (the BBQ Pork is to die for), and a nice clear quiet place to eat it if you want. My wife and I will be going back for sure!Vegetarian options: Most of the options are vegetarian. But carnivores need not fret - lots of good choices for us as well.Dietary restrictions: Lots of control over exactly what ends up in the bowl. My wife is vegetarian and gluten free and sensitive to many foods. Had no trouble making it all work.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a sidewalk-level entrance with not ramp or stairs.“
“Best Poke in Hoboken. Everything is so fresh and the sauces are always so good. The kale noodles are the best base by far too, worth a try. Very good price for the quality of the food. Service is quick even though the place can get very busy. Not the best seating options for dine in (more outside seating so raining days especially), so I would suggest carry out.“
