First time coming here but have been wanting to try! My husband got the Parkside Classic and I got the Turkey Pesto. The owner, Alden, was so so sweet and accommodating. He made the paninis fresh while we chatted with him. He also owns the gelato shop next door which is incredible.
The sandwiches were super fresh, tasty and decently priced. They were perfect to bring to the park. We'll def be making this a regular spot!!

Parkside Panini is a cutesy little sandwich shop wedged into the side of Astoria Park. The paninis are super fresh, tasty and delicious, and decently priced. The menu includes the Parkside Classic, the Turkey Pesto, The Astoria, the chicken cutlet panini and veggie paninis, plus a small grilled cheese. The Parkside Classic comes with a perfectly crisp chicken cutlet, a juicy tomato and arugula. The breaded cutlet is delicious and it seems like a lot of value for the money. The owner is kind, sweet, accommodating, hard working, beyond generous and so so sweet, and the service is nothing short of fantastic. It is a local family owned spot with a calm community atmosphere and a super chill vibe with Sinatra playing in the background. There are super cute tables inside and out. It is a lovely spot close by the park where you can bring the sandwiches and drinks and enjoy your meal by the water. It is a great spot for a drink and a bite to eat on any day of the week, and a great spot to grab a beer and sit inside, or outside, and just enjoy. The owner also owns the gelato shop next door which is incredible. This place is exactly what the area needed.
