“This is a great place to bring kids. Their birthday parties are a big hit. The kids like their food, which at some places they do not. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Their prices are reasonable, but they do not accept credit cards. There is an ATM machine on site. This is also right on the snowmobile trails, not a far ride from Byrncliff. The covered bridge is a nice attraction to ride the sleds through and it is all lit up at night.“

“My friends recommended this place to grab lunch while we were visiting town for a concert. It's definitely a typical "tavern" vibe, but the food was pretty good as well! I really liked the queso and the Italian grinder sandwich. The server was also pleasant albeit he probably could have been a little more attentive. I don't necessarily see myself coming back here because when I visit Dallas there are just too many options that I haven't tried yet, but I can see how it would be a local hangout for sure.“

The Trailside Grill Bar & Grill • $$

“I was disappointed that they did not have any Panini's or Mac salad on my recent Sunday visit. My taste buds were ready for the Pulled Pork Panini. I guess they only offer them on certain days. Even though Sunday I was told was Hidden Valley's busiest day.So I tried there game burger of the day which was the Elk burger. For cheese they only offer American cheese. No Provelone, Swiss or Pepper Jack cheese. So I got it with no cheese. The Elk burger was very good and I do recommend it. It came with a good serving size of fresh fries. To my knowledge this was my first wild game burger. It Costed almost $17.00. If givin the chance I would eat another Wild Game Burger again. Also good to know water is about $3.00 and there is no water fountain or refillable water bottle station anywhere in Trailside Grill or Hidden Valley. You can also get Ice Cream here to. If you did not pack a lunch and do not mind spending the money I would recommend the Trailside Grill!Kid-friendliness: They have chicken tenders, cheese burgers. And ice Cream.“
