“First time visit to La Perla in Averill Park, NY Thursday 8/17/23 6:30pm reservation. We came because of the music by The Next Chapter, Alan Saunders & Mike Derrico formerly of the Good for the Soul band that played at our wedding in 2006. They were set up in an nice courtyard at the rear of the restaurant, but an hour later had to move inside due to the rain. Very prompt service by the staff. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu. We settled on two appetizers: eggplant rollatini ($20) and the clams casino ($22). Note: clams are offered in 6 different styles. Italian style entrees from $18-33, more for specialty fish entrees i.e. zuppa de pesce $51. This is a fine dining restaurant offering well prepared and a variety of dinners. Bill was $100. for two meals & four alcoholic beverages. We ended our evening at the unique bar & dining area where we could still see & hear the band. This place also offers overnight accommodations & is an event venue. A very good first visit here. Restaurant Hours of Operation: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 4PM - 9PM Friday & Saturday 4PM - 10PM Sunday 3pm-9pm Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. Reservations are recommended. “We recently hosted a business dinner at the Roosevelt Room. The guests enjoyed their meals and the wait staff was excellent! Before I booked the dinner I reached out to Michael the owner to see if they would accommodate a kosher guest, knowing that the restaurant wasn’t kosher. Mike said the restaurant could plate a kosher meal that we brought in. The process was seamless and we are thankful for the accommodation!“

“Second visit update: So I returned for dinner with a friend of mine and we ordered the shrimp tacos appetizer, sea bass with risotto with cheese and potatoes entree, the cod fish Reuben sandwich entree and the crème brûlée. Sea bass had too much salt but everything else was okay. Our final bill was just under $100 so this place honestly seems too expensive to drop in often as I had originally hoped. I recently moved to the area and have been meaning to try this place for ever since I moved here. Tonight is one of the first warm nights of this spring and I was in the mood for a non-alcoholic beer and fries. So I walked around to peek at the top 5 Yelp choices for bar restaurants near me. One across the street I already went too in the past and it was all college students but this place Emry’s was more my vibe and most importantly it’s not brightly lit like the other nearby bar restaurants. Service was some of the best because they properly staff the bar here so no waiting forever to order and they all were very attentive. Lastly, I’m usually not a big fan of skinny French fries but these were freshly cut hand made (not frozen) and you can really taste the difference. Honestly the French fries here are some of the best I have had anywhere. This is now my go to local spot!“
