“Had dinner there last night and it was excellent. This is the location of the former Lombardo's restaurant on lower Madison Avenue. This is a new Albany location of the legendary Hattie's in Saratoga Springs, which has been serving up southern fare since the early 1930s. There is off-street parking next to the restaurant and in a lot directly across the street. Ambiance inside is lively and the renovations in the space kept many of the old Albany elements with a mix of New Orleans, all updated and welcoming. The cocktail I had - a Vieux Carre - was mixed to perfection. Jambalaya, grit cakes, key lime pie all outstanding. Friends had the famous fried chicken and the ribs - rave reviews. Excellent service. “Very nice little spot. Service is prompt and friendly, My dining companion and I each had a quesadilla dish, and we started out with chips and their excellent out of this world salsa. My friend and I stayed a bit ling because we had a lot of catching up to do, and we didn't at all feel rushed, we never felt we were being pushed out. I highly recommend this little goldmine.“
“I was up in Albany visiting my daughter and I just had to find a welcoming place to have coffee. Well, I found it. this place is AMAZING and will go out of my way any day to stop by and relax. The atmosphere can't be beat- it's somewhat of a "hidden gem" being tucked away on the second floor of building overlooking Lark St. Food has been phenomenal each time I've gone. Everything is packed with flavor and has a unique touch. Chicken fried rice, the short rib, and the meatball appetizer are a few of my personal favorites but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Albany and I can't wait to go back“
“I do not recommend this place at all. Over priced frozen dinners from the corner store. Wait time to get dinner 2 hours and 36 mins. If you want a drink you have to wait 45 mins to get a simple soda. Our waiter AJ kicked butt. He was super busy. We even offered to help clean table off. The manger was a grumpy and hard to work with. We ordered wings for appetizers and it took 1 hour and 35 mins. Definitely never coming back.“

“I live in NYC was in Albany for work. The Yard was recommended by a friend. The atmosphere was great. The bar was beautiful. There is a spot where you throw axe. The experience was new but quite relaxed and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend“
