“Instead of recommending the restaurant or not I wish I could rate it with stars. I would give a 3.75 the food was the good. The service was good. The atmosphere was good. Nothing was stand out amazing. For the price I would think the entrees would come with a salad or bread for the table but they do not. Drinks of course were expensive as anywhere but I got the smallest pour of wine I’ve probably ever received. We went for a special occasion and I wish we would have went somewhere else. Maybe I’ll try again with friends again for lunch and hope for a better experience.“

“This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Telkwa and Smithers. I probably spend far too much money then I should here, but I absolutely love it. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is great, and don't even get me started on the coffee and the food. I don't know if I've had anything that I didn't like from here. I've tried pretty much everything from the pies, meat pies, the freshly made sourdough bread that is just delicious, and the burgers on Fridays. You also have things like the cookies, the brownies and so much more. On top of all of that there's even a lot that I have yet to try, the ice cream being one of them. She even went on vacation for a couple of weeks and that was probably the longest couple of weeks without a good coffee. Oh yeah and I almost forgot, the breakfast wraps are absolutely delicious. You got to try them. Try anything try everything try it all, I'm sure you'll love it.“

“I’ve been looking forward to checking out the restaurant, Dove & Deer, since I first encountered their food when their chef was highlighted at the annual Summer Gala fundraiser here in Hudson last year. Their chef served an incredible amuse-bouche with gooseberries and the chef who was there sharing the amuse-bouches was wonderfully charming and the food was incredible! I was so impressed that I’ve been following their social media since then and have been looking forward to visiting the restaurant all the while! I was recently in the area and while I unfortunately wasn’t able to visit the restaurant in person- I was able to order through Door Dash and the meal was incredible! We ordered an assortment of things to share and were thrilled with everything! -Spicy Kale Caesar with shredded kale, croutons, and shaved parmesan! -Truffle Parm Fries with scallions and truffle aioli! -Mini Wagyu Beef Hotdogs made with wagyu beef, served in buttery toasted buns, and topped with mustard, ketchup, and relish! -Hot Lobster Dip made with lobster claw and knuckle meat, gruyere, gouda, fontina, spinach, scallion, and crispy wontons! It is often very difficult for a restaurant to adjust their menu to translate to takeout; and for them to do so where every single dish was not only delicious but also mostly with a great presentation, says a great deal about their attention to detail. This is a restaurant I look forward to dining at again many more times over the years!“

“First time here in a very cold evening, it’s like on the back of a building, there’s a park in front of the store, and across the street from it is a huge building with a clock on top that could be an old train terminal.
The chef was really friendly and the chicken sandwich meal was delicious, my daughter was a picky eater, and she just killed that sandwich, the chicken was crispy and tender inside, it was so food, since it’s a cold day we didn’t bother to order ice cream pops, we will definitely come back with friends and visit this eatery again.“

Hubby had a pineapple mule that was stupendous also . The fish tacos were very good ...texture and taste were spot on . The fish and chips were excellent . The fried fish was delightfully light , not heavy . The coleslaw was bland but everything else was yummy . And finally, we had to get dessert . Decided on pineapple upside down cheesecake . “Fantastic experience earlier this month having Sunday Brunch with my son and our American cousins at Lost & Found. This place is great! The real America, in Albany, away from the well-beaten tourist tracks. Friendly service, great menu, tasty food, and the proprietor is a gent - even let us get group photos on the stage as he hadn’t a band at the time! It was a wet Sunday but we just had a great family get together inside. Not that far from the city centre and worth finding. Very good value as well.“

“This is not the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse of the 90s and 2000s ..beef is still good but the quality is definitely not what it was especially the sides which were profoundly sub far .. but the price remains very high ($390 for 2) for a restaurant living on its reputation and not its current preparation. We will likely give it another try .. but it is so frustrating that Albany can't maintain high-end restaurants. On a positive note the waitstaff was very nice.“

“We can’t say enough about this place! My boyfriend and I had our first date here so it’s very special to us. We had a gender reveal here back in November and they brought out ice cream with blue sprinkles and sang to us. I went there yesterday; bought a slice of cheesecake and asked if they could put a candle in it and bring it out as a surprise for mine and my boyfriends 1 year anniversary. “I came here a few weeks ago to see Andrew Dismukes and we had such a great experience! This is an excellent venue for a comedy show. The venue is large and spacious, and it was easy to see and hear the performance from our seats.

The staff really made the experience even better. Ashley, our server, was incredibly friendly and kind. Jeremy, one of the security guards, was welcoming and excellent at his job. We also had an issue that the manager (I believe her name was Lori or Laura) helped us resolve and she was so kind and accommodating. She went out of her way to find us when she found out we had an issue, instead of us asking for her! It spoke volumes to us that the staff here really cared about our experience enough to seek us out and resolve the issue!!

One thing I really appreciated was that, unlike some comedy venues, there was no requirement to order food or drinks. This makes me as a customer feel more inclined to come back, as I’m not required to order something if I don’t want anything! My group did end up ordering anyway, and everything we had was great, so we were very satisfied. In one of the photos attached, I received a glass with my drink purchase. I am really happy to have it for my bar at home. Additionally, I would’ve loved to take a picture of how large the venue is inside. I don’t like photographing strangers, so I was unable to do so.

I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. When we’re back in town next year, we’ll definitely be coming back no matter who’s performing, as our experience was that good!“

Classic pub style seating and experience. Head up to the bar to order your food and drink, head back with your drinks and wait for the food. Theres tvs showing multiple different games but if youre not there for that the rest of the interior is the perfect astethic for a comfy night at the local bar.
