“Just visited Osteria Umbra yesterday evening for the 2nd time. This place has quickly become my favorite Italian restaurant on Long Island. The quality of the food is extraordinary, and the service/wait staff is second-to-none. Both times I visited, everyone in my group had a truly exceptional evening. From the moment you walk in the front door through the completion of dessert, this place provides first class service. The Black Truffle Taglierini in the Parmesan cheese wheel is a must try and delightful experience. The Australian Wagyu Tomahawk was absolutely delicious and well worth the order. “While traveling for my son’s baseball tournament in Yaphank, NY my family and friends stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant!! Everything from the food to the staff is incredible!! I highly recommend this place and so did everyone else we went with (we brought 15 people with us). Everyone cleaned their plate and these are not small portions! The food is extremely fresh and there is a great sense of pride in their product. We loved our experience here and we will absolutely return when we come back in August!!“

“We visited The Wharf on Sunday evening and had a fantastic experience. We sat outside by the water, and the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful—relaxing, scenic, and the perfect setting for dinner.
The highlight of our visit was our server, Brittany. She was outstanding! She was friendly, attentive, and fit right in with our party, making us feel like we were dining with a friend. Her great personality and excellent service truly made our evening memorable.

“Came here on a whim the other night and had an amazing time. The people here were so friendly and kind. The bartender Sue (lol idk how to spell it) she was a gem helped me feel really comfortable. The drinks were reasonably priced. The people here take pool seriously though so bring your game face. Parking was easy & I suggest paying & tipping with cash. Oh and most importantly the bathroom was clean!!“

“Breakfast is our favorite meal and we eat out every morning. Due to an early morning doctor appointment, we bumped into Buttermilk’s Kitchen. Great vibe as soon as you walk in….friendly and cheerful staff, nice decor, immediate service. I had the “The ‘Ol Barnyard”…..the sausage gravy was excellent with big chunks of sausage and super flavorful…..probably the best I’ve had here in NY and most of the South!!! The bacon was high quality and very tasty. My perfect over easy eggs were so fresh (yes, I can taste the freshness and quality just by having a bite of the whites!). My husband had a “Create Your Own Omelette” and declared that is was a “work of art” (I was offended because I make a darn good omelette and he never said that to me!) We were concerned about the “hash browns” because that usually means just cubed and fried potatoes, so we were very pleasantly surprised at the delicious shredded and seasoned, crispy but soft hash browns. Our regular coffee was good and hot, and they offer several “craft” coffee options. The Banana Foster French toast looked delectable! The lunch menu looks good, as well. We’ll definitely be back.“

“update below: Went for a Disney bingo which was so fun but we ordered a special on the board (both the same) and we both got sick. I wrote and email expressing my concern , which they responded quickly and tried connecting on the phone but they dropped the ball and did not respond to my follow up call nor my follow up email week has gone by. It’s nice in there I would’ve considered returning.

Tim, the manager called again and we had a nice conversation that I much appreciated. Offered gift card which was very kind. Sometimes things happen, if I business is willing to make it right and show humility it’s a good business. I’ve updated this review in high hope of returning and having a good experience and updating to 5 stars!“

“Hands down the Best meals, portions and service we had all week on Fire Island! The coconut shrimp and calamari apps were fantastic. The scallops, bone-in ribeye, eggplant entrees and all 3 desserts were phenomenal. Our waitress Christen and Holden gave perfect service. Highly recommend The Dunes!“
