“Today was my first time there, rom the wonderful, extensive menu, friendly waitress we had a delightful lunch. The owner, Peter couldn't have been nicer. I will certainly return.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accommodating with a ramp inside to the lower level.“
“Not all diners are created equal, and Thomas’s Ham & Eggery stands out from the rest. It’s always bustling with hungry diners. There’s a reason it’s been a staple for over 70 years. The service is friendly and fast. The food is hot and fresh. The Greek Frittata is a large and filling portion, stuffed with spinach, green onions, potatoes and feta. The bacon was crispy, and the eggs perfectly poached.I would definitely return to Thomas’s to explore more of the menu.“
“Fantastic service. Beautiful French toast with grilled ham along with an egg white omelet with mushrooms spinach and ham delicious and let's not forget the Delicious Bloody Mary made by Sara .. great service and we were passing through and because of Yelp and its reviews we went .. enjoy !!!“
“The service is great, the staff is attentive and friendly, especially Sam, our waiter, and one of the Managers, Felipe who treated us like first class customers. Even the gentleman who delivered our food from the kitchen stopped to ask if we needed anything else. The burger was super juicy and delicious and they made a sandwich off the menu for my husband just as he described and he loved it. The establishment is very clean and fresh. This is not my first time here and each time we enjoy the food and service. Great family place!“
“Before or after dance class in the morning or early afternoon, the Farmingdale Diner is our 'go to' spot for great food and friendly service! The staff and the owners are amazing. Try their freshly squeezed OJ it is a lovely addition to almost any breakfast.“
“Looks like an older diner, that's been there for yrs. The restaurant was clean and had an old fashion vibe. The waitress was friendly and the food was amazing. Oh and they put a macaroni salad on the table for you to enjoy while waiting for your food. It was so delicious. Not sure what was on the pasta but it was so good. The burgers were huge and the sweet potato fries were also like a double portion in other dinners. Then the dessert was rice pudding, the waitress said that everyone raves about it. Well they were right, it was so creamy.. delish!!! Prices were very reasonable. The only challenging part is the parking lot. It's not very big. But it is so worth a visit. Everything was A++++++“
“For a Long Island diner, it lived up to its expectations. Chef was able to make do with all of my adjustments/substitutions, for example changing an omelette to an egg white omelette. Food came out rather quick. Service was attentive. Very welcoming wait staff as well.“
“Been doing food to stomach deposits since I was a child at this great and wonderful establishment ... Pete's is family and actually knows my family... Keep up the amazing work ? with that smiling staff and keep shining on em ?? ... Passing gradeWheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheel chair accessible“
“First time coming here. Their breakfast was truly great. The Hershey pancakes hit the spot and it was perfectly done. Huevos rancheros burrito and the breakfast dish (eggs/cornbeef hash/home fries) were delicious. We also purchase their peanut butter cheesecake and rainbow cake to take home. I’m not a fan of cheesecake and when I tried it, it blew my mind. (Tasted great!) Rainbow cake was delicious as well! Definitely going back to try out their lunch dishes.“
“I had the pleasure of visiting this diner and was delighted to be greeted warmly upon my arrival. The ambiance was inviting and cheerful, creating a sense of familiarity. The coffee was exceptional, which is uncommon. I typically do not have two cups, but I made an exception here. I ordered the cornbread hash and was thoroughly pleased with its remarkable flavor. My husband had the challah french toast and thoroughly enjoyed it, finishing it entirely. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit very soon! This diner is so worth it!“
“I live in Brooklyn, NY. However, periodically I will drive 55 minutes just to eat at Nautilus Diner. The food is always delicious, and the service is great. The apple crumb cheesecake is an absolute must. I always feel right at home whenever I'm there.“
“We have gone to the Glen Cove Diner several times, and each time we were very pleased with the food, service and the helpful staff. The portions are double what I would normally eat, so I have to take home the rest. You don't feel rushed and the lighting is such that you feel relaxed. I would recommend trying this place.“
“What a Great day..this Restaurant Diner was a great find, drove by several times, But on this Day it was perfect food the Customer service was beyond exceptional warm and cozy on a chilly day. Lots of locals lots of tables, booths dining counter as well. Huge selection for Breakfast, Brunch/ Lunches or Dinner.“
“I've been coming here for more than I want to admit and makes me feel old. I'm going to keep this very honest in respect to using common sense/speculation/as well as responding to some of the comments on here. We haven't been there in quite some time...surprised to see the place redecorated. My wife loved it...I understand it. I'm one of those people that walk into a pizzeria and see faded red Formica tables, benches and dated dingy decor as a good thing. I was never bothered by aesthetics as it seems seasoned and perfected like the food im about to indulge in. The old international cafe had a plethora of food, nothing that wow'd you BUT was consistently good even though they had a great variety. The freshly made waffles, variety of gelato and fresh whip cream needs no review. People who complain about noise should just stay home with their mask on. You are talking about an open place restaurant that is a staple of a community for decades. Why in 2024 are people so miserable to see others so happy. Place is jammed back...what do you expect it to sound like? People complaining about kids are the same $hit parents who rather hand their kid a iPad instead of letting them socialize. When we go there we expect it to be busy, loud, kids be kids, great food, great service and pay cash. With new owner ship comes many things and one them was the menu. We were thrown off since we were expecting our usual order. A lot of their items on the menu can be easily replicated at home. When we go out to eat we only order what we don't make for the most part. My wife ordered their Chicken Tenders which was made fresh as they were chicken cutlets cut down. I thought it was OK my wife was not happy bc the crispy bread outside came off the chicken itself. We also got wings and beer battered onion rings. Onion rings were great and wings are wings. We don't deep fry in the house for many reasons...we never ordered anything deep fried at the old spot either. Got their loaded potato skins which my wife enjoyed as well. Reviews about the new whip cream being OFF in taste is correct. Gelato tasted the same to us which was good. Price seemed fair for what we got compared to others places we have gone too. Best of luck to the new owners and staff. I honestly don't think we will be back bc happy wife happy life Our waitress was PHENOMENAL“
“One of my favorite diners on LI and the best in Plainview. Never have been disappointed with any order. Omelettes, paninis, and burgers have all been amazing and are a good portion size. The waiters and staff are always very friendly and welcoming.“
“Great experience. We have a ladies night out once a month, and enjoy coming here. The food is delicious. We are 8 ladies and order everything from French Toast to Turkey Dinner, and the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. We always have a great time when we're here.“
“Went with my gf when we were visiting her parents. I had a turkey club sandwich with fries and she had the Pueblo burrito with homemade chips.Everything was delicious and the server was very pleasant.Parking: More than enough spots for cars“
“It seems that I have repeatedly been prompted to review Majestic Diner, of which there are seemingly two on Long Island. That said, I must start out with a slogan with 5 words. "LAWN GILAND" DINER FEATURING ABBONDANZA There is a silver lining in some clouds and this was the silver lining on an overnight stay in this area using points for lodging. When you leave one of the 2 NYC airports in Queens and board the LIRR to stay this far out, the hassle and work involved might outweigh the savings. (I learned that the Northern New Jersey lodging options make more sense, since you can use NJ Transit at very reasonable prices and it will put you right into Port Authority in Manhattan.) At any rate, I looked at my phone for diner food and Majestic Diner came up. With its metallic exterior and photos of bodacious and abundant food, I was interested. It was about a mile to get there, which I did on foot, complete with an umbrella, and it's on a major boulevard that has all the malls and big box shopping. Once inside, it's decked out as an old school diner, and perhaps even nicer than most adhering to this theme. There are many booths and, because of the big windows and good lighting, it's bright inside, which is what I prefer. I asked for a booth adjacent to a window so I could savor "Lawn Giland" street life. I saw the portions going to customers after sitting down ... and after seeing the menu board specials. These are not $15 packaged deals, given that this is a more expensive area and, well, not Buffalo. However, it's a good value and, coming in at mid-afternoon, the meal served as lunch and dinner. The meal consisted of chicken breasts in a tasty sauce atop a bed of pasta, a salad, cole slaw with a pickle spear, bread, a large slice of chocolate cheesecake, and refillable coffee. Everything on that list fetches at least 4 stars. Also, the ingredients were very fresh and I especially noticed this with the salad. I would have liked to have given the chocolate cheesecake 5 stars, but that is reserved for the now gone Concord Diner in Valley Stream, also on Long Island, where the chocolate was drizzled in to look marbled and which I ate during a lot of rumbling, which, as a Californian, made me think of an earthquake when it was just the LIRR going by. That was the best cheesecake I've eaten to date. The service at Majestic Diner was friendly and attentive. Could it be that taking photos tends to ratchet up the level of service? I ponder this every now and then. The patrons were also friendly. As I took photos, these two ladies from Brooklyn, but native to Poland, began conversing with me from their adjacent table, which was also pleasant. This also makes me ponder if I have a sign saying "foreigners, talk to me," since my friends observe this dynamic and state that it rarely happens to them! Continuing with the armchair sociology, many people have a knee jerk reaction to dislike and distrust anything related to the tri-state New York area. What I notice is that people in this area have routinely been more animated and more friendly to me than anyone in, say, Chicagoland or other Midwestern metropolitan areas has ever been and which is the inverse of the stereotypes. With the food being abundant, I was glad that I walked a mile to and from Majestic Diner. Not only that, I got to size up Long Island better and, for the most part, was amazed that many of the major streets are as large, or larger, than those in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley. It's time to wrap this up. So, here is what we have: 1) tasty food, 2) plenty of it, 3) wait staff that is amicable, 4) potential value - depending on what and how you order, and 5) an elaborate and nicely put together old school diner that I found appealing both inside and out. Go in with an empty stomach!“
“Special thanks to The Colony for Excellent food and outstanding Customer Service last night. The JJ Howell Ensembele & friends filled the entire restaurant without Notice after our beloved Musical tribute. It was only right to go back to grass roots, as young adults we came here after late night church services. It was 1 of our favorite spots.S/O to the waiters, kitchen staff, Bar staff, and managment. Billy, was our waiter topnotch service.God Bless“
“I ordered something pretty basic on the menu which was the "Cheeseburger Deluxe" medium temperature, and you know something it was absofreakinlutly delicious cooked to perfection Char-Broil flavor the lettuce and tomato and the onion ring and the pickle all fresh... The coleslaw was extremely disappointing very bland they use white cabbage which had no flavor whatsoever...I make coleslaw for a living and I use green cabbage always... I will go there again and again to go get a wonderful meal..?“
“Our 1st visit was a pleasant experience doing breakfast. Had the big breakfast ??. My better 1/2 had eggs Benedict & we were very satisfied with the food, service, staff & waitress. Has that classic old school late 80's early 90's diner look with the stainless & mirrors. Some seats have that classic pvt. table jukebox.Parking: Convenient corner diner on Sunrise hwy. svc. Rd.Kid-friendliness: Crayons & pics for the kids to color with. (Upon request)Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp & stairs leading to the main entrance.“
“Prototypical diner. Went during the dead doldrums of a late August weekday morning. Had steak and eggs and companion had eggs and toast. The steak was noteworthy and cooked perfectly. My eggs were those perfectly mixed diner slabs. The place was nearly deserted, so the service was doting. Can't speak to what it would be like during peak hours.I was a bit hot because they weren't running AC, but I tend to run a bit hot anyway.Diners tend to be a dime a dozen, and it's a maddening waste of calories when their bog standard fare doesn't live up to the basic expectations we assign to them.By that standard, Golden Coach, in passing the minimum bar of steak and egg quality and having excellent service in an otherwise vacant restaurant, did not disappoint.Given all my extenuating circumstances and uninteresting order, though, I'd read other reviews before making your call.“
“We absolutely love the food here. One of the best diner foods you can get. Their seafood is amazing. Their specialty meals come with a soup, salad, two sides, a main course and a dessert usually all for under $35. You can't beat that price and quality of food. They also very fast with pick-up orders. The staff is also supper friendly. Highly recommend“
“Our server was the hardest working server we've ever met! The food was fantastic. The host/manager/owner was very friendly and great with the kids. If you're in town, definitely come here!! I've never felt the need to post a review on Google until today.“
“Usually the food is pretty good here. The eggs Benedict for breakfast are very good as are the shell steaks for dinner. I was disappointed when I ordered a Ceasar Salad to go. When I opened it there was no cheese. Just a bunch of lettuce and croutons, Not a true Caesar Salad but it was fresh. So many other things to try. Will definitely go back.“
“Came here for lunch on a Saturday and was greeted with exactly what one of my favorite things about diners right off the bat, that Americana atmosphere. Looks aside, food is the diverse American fare you'd find at any diner around and the portions are very generous. I got the patty melt and tried a bit of their Philly cheesesteak and both were quite good. Our waitress was nice, although would have liked to been checked in on a little more frequently for refills and whatnot. That being said, one of the other waitresses, although not serving our table, seemed to be a bit rude which was certainly off putting just to watch. Decent parking in the attached lot or there are side streets nearby too if it really gets packed.“
“These guys are bringing the long Island Diner Back!Food is always goodService is fast and friendly. Owners are great and support the USA and ?♀️,s. Enjoy when we get the waiter with the tattoos on his arm. First you’ll hate him but he’s only playing around.Atmosphere is incredible you have to go on each holiday to see what they do!Passionate business owners!“
